Andrej Belyj (1880-1934), uno dei principali esponenti del Simbolismo russo, affrontò il tema della Russia in molte delle sue opere. Fra di esse il saggio "Russia" (1910), singolare nel corpus bieliano per l'assenza del consueto orientamento mistico e per la chiarezza quasi didattica dell'impianto, rimane piuttosto in ombra negli amplissimi studi sull'autore. Obiettivo del presente lavoro è mostrarne la struttura e le strategie retoriche anche sulla scorta del confronto con altri lavori di Belyj, in particolare il saggio "La Santa Russia" (1918), che si pone in dialogo diretto con "Russia" a distanza di otto anni dalla prima pubblicazione.

This paper analyzes the ways in which the French press announced the death of Stéphane Hessel, thus contributing to the study of obituary as a genre of discourse. By exploring the way in which the media have narrated the trajectory of S. Hessel on the occasion of his death, it shows their divergences, while underlining that they have all participated in the re-actualization of a narrative that validates the construction, and the maintenance, of the tutelary figure. The article proposes a contrastive analysis of the discourse of three major French newspapers of different tendencies (Le Monde, Libération, Le Figaro) by observing the weight of the narratives on the configuration of the event, and the way in which they set up contradictory interpretations of Hessel and his political commitment in relation to current social issues. By relying mostly on an enunciative analysis, the article thus seeks to make the link between collective memory and tutelary figure in order to shed light on the social construction of what can be considered as a heritage.
En el presente trabajo se realiza una lectura de “inventario” del poemario Tema y variaciones (1950) y “escultura de palabras para una plaza de Roma” del poemario Habitación en Roma (1952), ambos libros pertenecientes a Jorge Eduardo Eielson (1924-2006). Se revisan la estructura (dispositio) y las figuras literarias (elocutio) para plantear que existe un momento en el recorrido de la lectura que sugiere al lector percibir el poema como un objeto dentro de la hoja de papel. De esta manera, los poemas proponen un cambio en la significación que pone de manifiesto la conciencia de la materialidad del espacio en la creación poética. El enfoque principal del que se parte proviene de la Retórica General Textual; en especial, se utiliza el concepto de campo figurativo.

Attested since 1970 in the sociology of communication studies, the influencer has been brought back into the spotlight following the advent of digital marketing and social media such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc. The purpose of this study is to observe the authority in the genre of “unboxing” among young Web influencers, which involves the unpacking and presentation of products purchased or received free of charge by the manufacturer for promotional purposes. The bilingual French / Italian corpus is made up of a few dozen video transcriptions hosted on YouTube, aimed at the presentation of games for children. Based on the knowledge of psychosociology of communication, as well as on classical rhetorical studies and political philosophy, my hypothesis is that baby influencers’ rhetorical enterprise relies on three forms of authority: of the parrèsiaste, metalinguistics and loyalty, which correspond to the same amount of enunciative roles in the practice of unboxing: the child, the adult and the community of interest constituted essentially by the young audience of the channel.
Lo scopo del saggio è proporre un’interpretazione di due opere di Joseph von Eichendorff: Ahnung und Gegenwart (1815) e Aus dem Leben eines Taugenichts (1826). La concezione della letteratura elaborata da Francesco Orlando è utilizzata per mostrare come in questi testi il fenomeno dell’anticapitalismo romantico trovi espressione nel ritorno di contenuti repressi incarnati dai due protagonisti dei testi in esame: Friedrich, un cavaliere medievaleggiante, ed un fannullone ribelle al principio di prestazione. Entrambe le figure vivono l’esperienza di una Bildung, che, in Aus dem Leben eines Taugenichts, tuttavia, si configura come un percorso di individuazione scandito dalla comparsa di immagini archetipiche e perciò ricostruibile tramite alcune categorie attinte dalla psicologia analitica. La psicoanalisi freudiana e la psicologia analitica di Jung sono impiegate, perciò, per mettere a fuoco, rispettivamente, la fisionomia antimoderna di tali personaggi e le caratteristiche che differenziano il Bildungsweg del Taugenichts dal processo di sviluppo interiore di Friedrich.

In this work it has been analized the participation of figures or techniques of amplification described by Geoffrey of Vinsauf, norman poet from 13th century, into the classical rhetoric dimensions known as dispositio (structure) and elocutio (style), so that I can exemplify how in film industry it can be witnessed its use in form of image design through cinematography, visual composition and scenic assembly. From this study, it is also possible to notice how screenwriters and directors have been able to offer moral or emotional meaning to the viewer.
El presente trabajo pretende reconstruir una línea evolutiva en la poética de Efraín Miranda Luján a partir del análisis de un poema de su libro Choza (1978). Para ello, trataremos de vincular sus desplazamientos, su posición marginal dentro del espectro de la generación del 50, con la trasformación paulatina de su producción poética. Nuestra hipótesis central es que la obra de Miranda, excluida del monopolio de la crítica literaria limeña, se engarzó con otras tradiciones literarias, en particular la puneña, de manera que el reciente interés de la crítica por su obra lo ha insertado dentro del panorama más amplio, y alternativo, de las poéticas andinas. Emplearemos como marco teórico de análisis la Retórica General Textual de Stefano Arduini y la TeSWeST ampliada II de Tomás Albaladejo, además de los aportes de la Semántica Cognitiva de George Lakoff y Mark Johnson.
In this paper we introduce the book that, not uncontroversially, has been dubbed “China's first treatise on rhetoric”: the Guiguzi. There is no Spanish translation of it as yet. It is attributed to a thinker and teacher who lived around mid-4th Century B.C., during the final stage of Chinese Classicism (Warring States). Until recently, the book has been marginalized, considered dangerous and traditionally excluded from canonical collections. Its idea of rhetorical efficacy has been linked to that of “manipulation” by sinologists such as François Jullien, who has used the expression “anti-rhetoric” to define its content. Its pecularities, such as the emphasis in listening and psychological insight, can be properly understood in the defensive context derived from the physical danger in which the suasor in Classical China incurs. As a contribution for the book to be known, we offer our translation of chapter 9, the first one in Spanish.
Tre parole-chiave offrono lo spunto per un’immersione nel pensiero e nell’opera di Giuseppe Pontiggia. La prima: parola, riaffermata dallo scrittore in quanto atto civile e ‘corporeo’ mediante il quale l’uomo fa esperienza di se stesso entrando in contatto con i suoi simili e con il circostante, ricongiungendosi insieme alla sua più profonda e antica natura. Viene così restituita allo scrittore/critico la responsabilità di lottare contro l’attuale minaccia dello svuotamento linguistico, nel nome di una costruttiva utopia culturale. La seconda parola, musica, serve a illuminare i romanzi di Pontiggia – in specie La grande sera e L’arte della fuga – attraverso suggestive analogie con la musica classica e il jazz, predilette dallo scrittore. Ossimoro è l’ultima voce di questo Lexicon: figura retorica, ma soprattutto figura conoscitiva che permette allo scrittore di scoprire la propria verità e il proprio linguaggio e al lettore di abbracciare una visione non lineare e problematica del mondo, capace di ampliare le prospettive e rinnovare lo sguardo.

In questo articolo proponiamo una lettura del racconto “La forcina” di Maupassant, secondo la quale la vicenda particolare del protagonista rappresenterebbe una delle possibili difese che il soggetto umano ha a propria disposizione per mantenersi a distanza dal Reale scabroso della Cosa. La nostra interpretazione prende le mosse dall'analisi condotta sulla sostanza semantica del testo e procederà confrontando gli strumenti forniti dalle scienze neurocognitive e della psicoanalisi freudiana e lacaniana.

Este artigo analisa o modo como a historiografia portuguesa do século XVI adaptou um tipo de discurso que contava já com alguns exemplos na historiografia romana: a arenga militar feminina. Em particular, são identificados os contextos narrativos que favorecem a sua ocorrência, a sua tipologia discursiva, bem como os tópicos argumentativos mais recorrentes e a sua relação com a tradição retórica prévia e também com a envolvência histórica coeva. Finalmente, são ainda apuradas as funções que estes discursos desempenham nas obras históricas em que estão inseridos. Protagonistas destas alocuções são as mulheres de Diu, que, nos cercos de 1538 e 1546, ajudaram, com trabalhos e palavras de incentivo, a desbaratar os ataques turcos àquela cidadela. Destaque ainda para o olhar dos outros sobre os portugueses, na extensa e elaborada arenga da rainha de Ternate, exemplum claro da assimilação da retórica militar por parte dos historiadores portugueses renascentistas
The work I put into consideration is an advance in a research upon word order that involves the study of the hyperbaton.Our analysis stems from the consideration of hyperbaton as a cross or meeting point between grammar and rhetoric, from the conception of recte dicendi, characteristic of grammar, and the one of the bene dicendi, which defines rhetoric. Hyperbaton can be placed in these two lines of the studies of Latin antiquity, with proper and distinctive, though also convergent features, due to the fact that it constitutes a figure registered in the order of words, in a language with a natural word order without major restrictions, and, on the other hand, because the disquisitions about style in which it is framed, the demarcations and constraints from both virtutes and vitia are important; in a last stage, the analysis aims to spot the conception of the hyperbaton in regard to the effects that are expected to be exerted on the audience. In other words, we will try to contribute our own observations about how the theoreticians of the rhetoric —in our particular case, Quintilian and some references to Cicero—,analyzed the hyperbaton, how did they include it, which role was assigned to it, how did they state the relations with the grammar properly said. Such are the questions leading us.Therefore, the course of the present work sets off from the issues related to ordo, both from the grammatical perspective as well as from the conception and definition of the hyperbaton that we specifically trace in Quintilian; the restrictions acting upon and delimitating it, and, lastly, in which point is liable to associate hyperbaton with persuasion.

The essay analyzes the work of Paul de Man (1919-1983), in particular Allegories of Reading. Even though his posthumously revealed ties with Nazism reduced his academic influence, de Man is still considered the leader of Deconstruction in America, and his favorite metaphor of 'seduction' summarizes his Nietzschean theory of rhetoric as illusionism, i.e. a strategy that provoke an affective reaction, independent from logic or facts. Yet, this metaphor seems to be in contrast with other tendencies of Deconstruction, namely the self-referential, non-voluntary, autonomous status of writing, the absence of critical meta-language, the reduction of psychology in criticism.
