This article examines one of the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for including peer-reviewed journals in the List of scientific and professional publications of Ukraine in which the results of dissertations for the degrees of Doctor of Sciences, Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy may be published. And such a requirement is the inclusion of the journal and the deposit of its articles in the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine (VNLU). So, in this editorial we will highlight the experience of the Journal of Diagnostics and Treatment of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology of including it in the VNLU. The VNLU is a leading cultural, educational, scientific, and informational state institution that performs the functions of a research, methodological, and coordination center on issues of book studies, library science, bibliography, and document studies, and participates in the development of state policy in the field of library science and its implementation. All details about the Library's day-to-day operations and functioning can be found in its Bylaws, which is publicly available. What is important to know is that the VNLU has the right to receive a mandatory free copy of documents in accordance with the legislation. The deposit of peer-reviewed journal articles in the VNLU is one of the extremely important stages in the evolution of each peer-reviewed journal originating from Ukraine. And the deposit process itself is quite simple and does not require a significant amount of editorial and publisher resources. In summary, the VNLU is another highly respected state database that contains our journal and its articles, along with the National Repository of Academic Texts and ResearchGate.

[Purpose/Significance] In the era of mobile Internet, mobile phones are the most important information access tools. From the perspective of mobile phone use, this paper examines and reveals the information acquisition behavior of farmers, explores the information gap in rural areas, analyzes the characteristics of the information acquisition behavior of key groups, and provide insights into how to improve the information acquisition behavior and narrowing the information gap. The significance of the research is that, with a focus on digital inclusion, we start from the inclusive feature of the Internet and modern information technology, find out the key groups to pay attention to in the information gap, and put forward ideas on how to realize digital inclusion from the perspective of farmers' information acquisition and needs. [Method/Process] Based on the rural sample survey at the national level, principal component analysis and RIF regression analysis were used to measure farmers' information acquisition behavior and identify the role of key influencing factors in improving information acquisition behavior. This study analyzes farmers' information acquisition behavior from the perspective of mobile phone use, describes the micro characteristics of the information gap in rural areas, and makes the conclusion more scientific and generalizable based on the sample survey of farmers at the national level. [Results/Conclusions] The low "long tail" group in the evaluation results of farmers' information acquisition behavior exists in the aged people groups and the groups with the education level below junior middle school, which highlights the phenomenon of information gap in rural areas. Key explanatory variables have a more pronounced marginal effect on groups with low evaluation results of information acquisition behavior (below the median). Improving the impact of mobile phone use among key groups such as the elderly and the undereducated makes an important contribution to narrowing the information gap, which reflects the inevitable requirement of the concept of digital inclusion. Based on the improvement of network facilities, it is also necessary to pay attention to the use of mobile phone functions and information content acquisition of key groups, strengthen the accuracy of information supply, activate the information needs of key groups, and improve the adaptability of such groups in the digital environment. There are still more relatively poor and aging groups in rural areas, which need to be included in the digital inclusion path, improve the situation of vulnerable groups in the digital age, and provide the means to realize people's needs. Future research will pay more attention to promoting the provision of high-quality public service resources through digital tools, realizing the continuous empowerment of digital technology for rural development, and improving the digital literacy of citizens, especially rural residents.

[Purpose/Significance] To explore in depth the acceptance and usage habits of AIGC tools by graduate students in the process of academic research, and to promote the positive attention and application of emerging technologies by graduate students is one of the goals of library knowledge service and information literacy education. This paper aims to reveal the influence mechanism of internal and external factors on the use of AIGC tools by graduate students at the user level, clarify the behavioral motivation of graduate students to use AIGC tools to support learning and research, help libraries to design and promote AIGC services according to the actual situation, and promote the implementation of AIGC technology in knowledge services. [Method/Process] Based on the UTAUT2 model, considering related theories such as perceived value and the characteristics of AIGC tool and graduate student group, this study constructed the influencing factor model of graduate students' AIGC tool use behavior, and provided empirical evidence through questionnaire survey and structural equation model analysis. The survey respondents are graduate students in universities or research institutes. In this study, questionnaires were distributed to graduate students through social media platforms, enterprise Wechat contacts, email, etc., and the survey period was from July to August 2024. After the data collection, statistical software such as SPSS and SmartPLS was used to analyze all the valid data obtained, including descriptive statistics, reliability and validity test and structural equation model analysis. [Results/ [Conclusions] Functional value, use value and emotional value in the tool aspect, individual innovation in individual aspect and social influence in environmental aspect have significant positive effects on graduate students' willingness to use AIGC tools, and indirectly affect their use behavior. Facilitating conditions, such as network equipment, as supporting factors, also have a significant positive impact on graduate students' usage. It is suggested that AIGC tool developers and library service designers consider the functional advantages and convenience. On the one hand, it is suggested that they pay attention to the functional value of the tool, that is, the auxiliary role to the graduate study and scientific research; on the other hand, they consider whether the tool is design-friendly, easy to operate, with low technical threshold and easy to use on an ongoing basis. From a graduate education perspective, it is important to promote the deep integration of the tool use with one's own professional learning and research in order to realize the improvement of other qualities through information literacy. Meanwhile, strengthening students' innovative thinking and comprehensive ability training, and guiding AIGC tool application ability and scientific research thinking to promote each other are conducive to new technologies to truly support learning and scientific research, and ultimately achieve the goal of developing high-level innovative talents.

Serials are important sources of information to library users. This study examines the serials management in a Law library, the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS). Diverse resources aid research, learning and teaching, among these are serials. They feature as inaugural lectures, public briefings, reports, white papers, gazettes and other government publications, hazards, panels/commissions of inquiry, memoirs, findings, treaties, field trip’ reports, television or film series, body corporate statements of accounts, newspapers, conference proceedings. The role of UNESCO coupons in paying for foreign journals was briefly mentioned-though these are no longer sent to many Nigeria libraries. The compulsion for all serials editors to write to NLN for an ISSN to enhance the compilation of National Bibliographic Control, like the British Union Catalogue of Periodicals, and collective aim at ensuring a knowledge output consortia among all libraries to ‘save the bucks’ was also mentioned, this, so many of the knowledge industries do not comply with this statute, unfortunately. The paper discussed the management of serials which include: acquisitions, classification, storage and preservation. The study recommends the need for acquisitions policy reviews, staff skills, suggesting the employment of only possessors of library and information science qualifications in the libraries, preservation and conservation of serials via binding and pre-purchase quality assurance.

ABSTRACT This research explores the potential for AUSTLANG – a database of Australian Indigenous languages – to enhance the identification of Australian Indigenous languages in MAchine Readable Cataloguing (MARC) bibliographic records. At present, it is acknowledged in the discipline of Library and Information Sciences (LIS) that material relating to Indigenous peoples are improperly and/or insensitively classified using mainstream library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification. AUSTLANG was approved as a MARC language source code in November 2018 and has given libraries the ability to identify Australian Indigenous languages with standardised, culturally sensitive identifiers. The following research considers the variety of orthographies, codes and synonyms available for a sample of four Australian Indigenous languages as listed in AUSLANG and contrasts these with the single, authoritative AIATSIS reference names and codes contributed by the database. This research also considers how AUSTLANG can contribute to the classification of Indigenous Knowledge resources. Currently there is only a small body of technical information available on AUSTLANG and little focussed academic research, making it difficult to ascertain the success and characteristics of its implementation. This research represents an exploratory academic contribution and calls for a wider research effort.

Purpose The subject of the paper is innovative information services. The purpose of this paper is to identify the potential sources of innovation in library information services and point out how they can be used to improve the overall service quality. Design/methodology/approach In the first stage, literature analysis and critique was used to establish the state of research in the field of innovative solutions and select the main sources of innovation in services. Next, a systematic search of the subject literature and network resources was carried out according to the selected criteria to find the examples of innovative commercial services, particularly in the information sector. Findings Libraries, like all customer-oriented service organizations, must innovate and continually evolve to better meet the needs of their audience. It seems that in libraries, the basis of innovation and building a competitive advantage over other institutions may primarily be the thoughtful design of services in the spirit of the assumptions of the experience economy. Innovative ideas based on in-depth knowledge of user needs are less dependent on financial conditions and more on the creativity and enthusiasm of library staff. Research limitations/implications This paper is a conceptual work presenting the issue of innovation from the perspective adopted by the author. The paper does not aim to fulfill the subject but to show some interesting aspects of this issue and help initiate discussions on innovation in libraries from the perspective of phenomena present on the commercial information services market. This approach, which has not yet been adapted in library science, may show some new aspects and lead to new conclusions. This is a literature review type of paper that is not based on empirical research and it has not yet been tested in practice; however, the author believes that it can provide a valuable framework for designing and implementing innovative services in libraries. The presented process is a preliminary proposal that can and should be modified in the future based on further scientific reflection and examples of implementations in libraries. Practical implications The results can be widely used in practice as a framework for designing innovative services in libraries. The paper, based on subject literature, proposes a process of designing innovative information services that can and should be tested in practice. Social implications The paper can help initiate the debate on the need to implement innovative solutions in library services. Originality/value The issue of innovation in library services has not yet been widely discussed in library and information science journals from the perspective proposed by the author. This paper presents a specific approach to library innovation based on the observation of the certain phenomena on the commercial market, which opens the door to new reflections.

Organizations nowadays focus on, not implementing ERP systems, but also leveraging ERP systems as part of their digital strategy. They holistically address people, processes, and technology for a digital transformation. Meanwhile, higher education institutions (HEIs) are also facing an imperative need for the implementation of modern technologies to stay competitive and differentiate them as an innovation leader. Higher education management is challenged with maintaining high-level information systems. These systems can generate complex real-time reports for effective resource allocation and better decision making. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems can help HEIs manage their resources and operations effectively. A study of ERP among 112 HEIs in Egypt was conducted. This study originally investigates the Egyptian HEIs’ perception of the ERP system as a new integrating tool for its value. The results showed that Egyptian HEIs are still at the embryonic level as the majority have not adopted these systems yet. However, ERP value has been undoubtedly perceived by HEIs’ managers. Therefore, the present study fruitfully reflected HEIs’ understanding of the imperative need of ERP systems as strategic systems for their competitiveness. Consequently, the study suggests that Egyptian HEIs and ERP vendors take steps to remove any barriers and accelerate the ERP adoption process. Also, this research contributes to the advancement of ERP concepts and characteristics from HEIs' standpoint and a grants practical verification to the higher education context. Overall, the study advances existing knowledge and research on ERP, strategic management systems, and HEIs.
