Interact-Custom: Customized Human Object Interaction Image Generation
Zhu Xu, Zhaowen Wang, Yuxin Peng
et al.
Compositional Customized Image Generation aims to customize multiple target concepts within generation content, which has gained attention for its wild application. Existing approaches mainly concentrate on the target entity's appearance preservation, while neglecting the fine-grained interaction control among target entities. To enable the model of such interaction control capability, we focus on human object interaction scenario and propose the task of Customized Human Object Interaction Image Generation(CHOI), which simultaneously requires identity preservation for target human object and the interaction semantic control between them. Two primary challenges exist for CHOI:(1)simultaneous identity preservation and interaction control demands require the model to decompose the human object into self-contained identity features and pose-oriented interaction features, while the current HOI image datasets fail to provide ideal samples for such feature-decomposed learning.(2)inappropriate spatial configuration between human and object may lead to the lack of desired interaction semantics. To tackle it, we first process a large-scale dataset, where each sample encompasses the same pair of human object involving different interactive poses. Then we design a two-stage model Interact-Custom, which firstly explicitly models the spatial configuration by generating a foreground mask depicting the interaction behavior, then under the guidance of this mask, we generate the target human object interacting while preserving their identities features. Furthermore, if the background image and the union location of where the target human object should appear are provided by users, Interact-Custom also provides the optional functionality to specify them, offering high content controllability. Extensive experiments on our tailored metrics for CHOI task demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.

Testing General Relativity with Gravitational Waves: An Overview
N. V. Krishnendu, Frank Ohme
The detections of gravitational-wave (GW) signals from compact binary coalescence by ground-based detectors have opened up the era of GW astronomy. These observations provide opportunities to test Einstein's general theory of relativity at the strong-field regime. Here we give a brief overview of the various GW-based tests of General Relativity (GR) performed by the LIGO-Virgo collaboration on the detected GW events to date. After providing details for the tests performed in four categories, we discuss the prospects for each test in the context of future GW detectors. The four categories of tests include the consistency tests, parametrized tests for GW generation and propagation, tests for the merger remnant properties, and GW polarization tests.

Electromagnetic wave propagation in general Kasner-like metrics
Brett Bochner
The curved spacetime Maxwell equations are applied to the anisotropically expanding Kasner metrics. Using the application of vector identities we derive 2$^\textrm{nd}$-order differential wave equations for the electromagnetic field components; through this explicit derivation, we find that the 2$^\textrm{nd}$-order wave equations are not uncoupled for the various components (as previously assumed), but that gravitationally-induced coupling between the electric and magnetic field components is generated directly by the anisotropy of the expansion. The lack of such coupling terms in the wave equations from several prior studies may indicate a generally incomplete understanding of the evolution of electromagnetic energy in anisotropic cosmologies. Uncoupling the field components requires the derivation of a 4$^\textrm{th}$-order wave equation, which we obtain for Kasner-like metrics with generalized expansion/contraction rate indices. For the axisymmetric Kasner case, $(p_{1}, p_{2}, p_{3}) = (1,0,0)$, we obtain exact field solutions (for general propagation wavevectors), half of which appear not to have been found before in previous studies. For the other axisymmetric Kasner case, $\{p_{1}, p_{2}, p_{3}\} = \{(-1/3),(2/3),(2/3)\}$, we use numerical methods to demonstrate the explicit violation of the geometric optics approximation at early times, showing the physical phase velocity of the wave to be inhibited towards the initial singularity, with $v \rightarrow 0$ as $t \rightarrow 0$.

Thermodynamics of Reissner-Nordström Black Holes in Higher Dimensions: Rainbow Gravity Background With General Uncertainty Principle
Amritendu Haldar, Ritabrata Biswas
In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of Reissner-Nordström black holes embedded in higher $(d)$ dimensions in the framework of rainbow gravity incorporating the effects of the generalized uncertainty principle. We also examine all the properties graphically by varying the rainbow gravity parameter $η$ and the generalized uncertainty principle parameter $α$. We find the existence of remnant and critical mass of the concerned black hole. We calculate the local temperature, local internal energy and hence we analyse the thermal stability of the black hole by computing the local heat capacity. Further, we study the phase transitions of the aforesaid black hole solution under the effects of generalized uncertainty principle. From the analysis of the specific heat at the horizon, we observe that there are phase transitions for all dimensions but when we analyze the same, measured by the local observer, we find that there exist only two phase transitions.
The Sheltered Life
E. Glasgow
"The Sheltered Life, " writes Carol S. Manning in her Afterword to this new paperback edition, is "a jewel of American literature and deserves recognition as a masterpiece of the Southern Renaissance." It is a remarkably unsentimental look at the old South, a society that blindly holds to past values enforced by a strict code of conduct, being overtaken by the new age of industrialization. We see in the families of the Archibalds and the Birdsongs - especially in the character of General Archibald, the quintessential Southern gentleman, and of the celebrated beauty Mrs. Eva Birdsong - how upholding these old Southern ideals denies any opportunity for growth and fulfillment. The only hope is in the General's impetuous young granddaughter, Jenny. By the end of the novel, however, she too has learned that beauty is to be most admired and that deception is moral and civilized - that it is good to tell lies if they make others feel better. Ellen Glasgow's career-long attempt to expose the cruelty of the "cult of beauty worship" and the "philosophy of evasive idealism" that she saw as prevalent in the South's conversations, manners, customs, and literature reaches its zenith in The Sheltered Life. First published in 1932, it was hailed by Alfred Kazin as Ellen Glasgow's "most moving and penetrating novel. Like Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, which it closely resembles in spirit, The Sheltered Life became a haunting study in social decomposition."

SCSP: Spectral Clustering Filter Pruning with Soft Self-adaption Manners
Huiyuan Zhuo, Xuelin Qian, Yanwei Fu
et al.
Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) has achieved significant success in computer vision field. However, the high computational cost of the deep complex models prevents the deployment on edge devices with limited memory and computational resource. In this paper, we proposed a novel filter pruning for convolutional neural networks compression, namely spectral clustering filter pruning with soft self-adaption manners (SCSP). We first apply spectral clustering on filters layer by layer to explore their intrinsic connections and only count on efficient groups. By self-adaption manners, the pruning operations can be done in few epochs to let the network gradually choose meaningful groups. According to this strategy, we not only achieve model compression while keeping considerable performance, but also find a novel angle to interpret the model compression process.
General Relativistic Razor-Thin Disks with Magnetically Polarized Matter
Anamaría Navarro-Noguera, F. D. Lora-Clavijo, Guillermo A. González
The origin of magnetic fields in the universe still remains unknown and constitutes one of the most intriguing questions in astronomy and astrophysics. Their significance is enormous since they have a strong influence on many astrophysical phenomena. In regards of this motivation, theoretical models of galactic disks with sources of magnetic field may contribute to understand the physics behind them. Inspired by this, we present a new family of analytical models for thin disks composed by magnetized material. The solutions are axially symmetric, conformastatic and are obtained by solving the Einstein-Maxwell Field Equations for continuum media without the test field approximation, and assuming that the sources are razor-thin disk of magnetically polarized matter. We find analytical expressions for the surface energy density, the pressure, the polarization vector, the electromagnetic fields, the mass and the rotational velocity for circular orbits, for two particular solutions. In each case, the energy-momentum tensor agrees with the energy conditions and also the convergence of the mass for all the solutions is proved. Since the solutions are well-behaved, they may be used to model astrophysical thin disks, and also may contribute as initial data in numerical simulations. In addition, the process to obtain the solutions is described in detail, which may be used as a guide to find solutions with magnetized material in General Relativity.
MAKNA RITUAL MULUD DALAM MEWUJUDKAN POPULARITAS GOLOK CIOMAS
Risa Nopianti
The study focuses on the Mulud ritual of Ciomas machete held annually on 12 of Mulud. This ritual serves as a gathering place of Ciomas machete owners, and then Ciomas machete finally can be popular and becomes the icon of the Ciomas. Ritual procession of ngoles or ngulas of finished Ciomas machete, and wrought iron of Ciomas machete designate, become a meeting philosophy between teachers and students that only happens once in a year, i.e. in Mulud. The question is then how the ritual is held to attract people, and then what factors are presented in the system of Mulud ritual which makes Ciomas machete, becomes so popular. This research is conducted by applying a qualitative method with ethnographic approach. The data is obtained through interviews, observation, and literature study. Finally, it is found that the Ciomas machete achieved popularity for the efforts and close cooperation between multiple stakeholders in the circle of Ciomas. It is Pande, a leader of the ritual, and the holder of the heritage sledgehammer, Si Denok.

Generalized Group Profiling for Content Customization
Mostafa Dehghani, Hosein Azarbonyad, Jaap Kamps
et al.
There is an ongoing debate on personalization, adapting results to the unique user exploiting a user's personal history, versus customization, adapting results to a group profile sharing one or more characteristics with the user at hand. Personal profiles are often sparse, due to cold start problems and the fact that users typically search for new items or information, necessitating to back-off to customization, but group profiles often suffer from accidental features brought in by the unique individual contributing to the group. In this paper we propose a generalized group profiling approach that teases apart the exact contribution of the individual user level and the "abstract" group level by extracting a latent model that captures all, and only, the essential features of the whole group. Our main findings are the followings. First, we propose an efficient way of group profiling which implicitly eliminates the general and specific features from users' models in a group and takes out the abstract model representing the whole group. Second, we employ the resulting models in the task of contextual suggestion. We analyse different grouping criteria and we find that group-based suggestions improve the customization. Third, we see that the granularity of groups affects the quality of group profiling. We observe that grouping approach should compromise between the level of customization and groups' size.
A boosted Kerr black hole solution and the structure of a general astrophysical black hole
Ivano Damião Soares
A solution of Einstein's vacuum field equations that describes a boosted Kerr black hole relative to an asymptotic Lorentz frame at the future null infinity is derived. The solution has three parameters (mass, rotation and boost) and corresponds to the most general configuration that an astrophysical black hole must have; it reduces to the Kerr solution when the boost parameter is zero. In this solution the ergosphere is north-south asymmetric, with dominant lobes in the direction opposite to the boost. However the event horizon, the Cauchy horizon and the ring singularity, which are the core of the black hole structure, do not alter, being independent of the boost parameter. Possible consequences for astrophysical processes connected with Penrose processes in the asymmetric ergosphere are discussed.
