The aim of this article is to evaluate the implications of Turkey’s decision to convert the Hagia Sophia from a museum into a mosque, taking into account security issues and the impact of this decision on the stability of the region. The research includes an analysis of the Turkish authorities’ actions and the reception of this change by both Turks and the international community. The research conducted falls within the framework of security studies. The work is based on press sources published in Turkish. In addition, field research and unstructured interviews were conducted with Turkish and Greek scholars between 2020 and 2024. The results of the research indicate that the decision to transform Hagia Sophia did not have a significant impact on improving the security of the site. However, it has led to an exacerbation of tensions between Turkey and Greece and other NATO members, which could have serious implications for the functioning of the alliance.
У статті розповідається як музейники Західної України з перемінним успіхом виконували свої професійні обов’язки в умовах антирелігійної політики СРСР. Одним з головних напрямків їх роботи був пошук пов’язаних з Церквою артефактів для поповнення колекції музеїв та виявлення, взяття на облік і охорона архітектурних пам’яток – в т. ч. церковних приміщень. Попри те, що хронологічні рамки публікації лежать у минулому часі автор також актуалізує і намагається знайти шлях до розв’язання низки проблем сучасності. Вони лежать у площині стосунків Церкви і держави. Після здобуття Україною у 1991 р. незалежності і зміни суспільно-політичного ладу ці проблеми нікуди не зникли, а радше змінили характер. Наприклад, тотальний державний контроль над Церквою змінився на нерідко фактичну безконтрольність. Музейники в силу специфіки своєї роботи співпрацювали і з представниками Церкви, і з репрезентами влади СРСР. У результаті вони отримували складний, але унікальний досвід. Звертатися до нього зараз було би виправдано і доречно. Тому за мету статті взято проведення дослідження збиральницької і пам’яткоохоронної роботи музеїв Західної України у контексті антирелігійної політики СРСР. Методи дослідження використано відповідні поставленій меті і наявному масиву інформації й характеру джерел у яких вона міститься. Було використано загальнонаукові методи аналізу та синтезу і узагальнення. Також використовувався історико-генетичний метод. Результати дослідження показали, що збиральницька і пам’яткоохоронна робота музейників Західної України зазнала шкоди від антирелігійної політики СРСР. Це підтверджує низка наведених у статті прикладів. Вони були знайдені як у літературі, так і в архівних джерелах. У них містяться вірогідні і репрезентативні докази того, як дії або пасивність влади СРСР утруднювала роботу музейників. Попри ці перепони вони змогли досить результативно поповнювати колекції своїх музеїв, а також охороняти пам’ятки. Отримані результати дозволяють також підняти декілька дискусійних питань. Зокрема, такими є проблема пасивності священнослужителів у співпраці з музейниками і недоліки у врегулюванні Церковно-музейних стосунків після 1991 р. Вони перспективні для подальших досліджень.

Resumo: Este estudo buscou discutir a perspectiva de serviços para as bibliotecas e indicar as competências dos profissionais para atuar diante desse cenário. Relativamente à natureza da pesquisa, caracteriza-se em pesquisa básica, que utiliza a abordagem exploratória e característica bibliográfica e documental. As buscas foram realizadas nas seguintes bases de dados: Web of Science, Scopus (Elsevier), SciELO. O total de documentos recuperados foram 2.030 e foram explorados por meio da leitura dos títulos, das palavras-chave e do resumo do documento. Dessa forma avaliou-se quais dos artigos respondiam à questão de pesquisa. Entre os documentos verificados, 55 documentos foram selecionados. Os resultados identificaram serviços na esfera tecnológica: a Inteligência Artificial (IA), a Internet das coisas, os Drones, as Assistentes Virtuais e Blockchain. Na esfera de sociedade, o Co-working. Na categoria Educação, o Badging, e, na categoria meio ambiente, a resiliência. Diante do que foi proposto, a percepção do profissional bibliotecário para estas mudanças torna-se fundamental enquanto atuantes e ofertadores desses serviços.

This note examines the question whether an estate agent collecting or receiving monies in the course of his or her business as an estate agent is also a “debt collector” as defined in the Debt Collectors Act 114 of 1998. The matter is of some importance: if the answer is in the affirmative it would mean that estate agents mandated to collect rentals, levies or other monies payable in terms of sale or lease transactions must register with both the Estate Agency Affairs Board (“the Board”) in terms of the Estate Agency Affairs Act 112 of 1976 and the Debt Collectors Council (“the Council”) in terms of the Debt Collectors Act. They will have to pay levies to both the Board and the Council and comply with the codes of conduct published by both statutory bodies. Improper professional conduct may lead to disciplinary action instituted by either the Board or the Council, or both. They will have to open and keep two trust accounts (one in terms of s 32 of the Estate Agency Affairs Act and the other in terms of s 20 of the Debt Collectors Act) and will often be confused as to which monies must be paid into which of these accounts.
Com o surgimento de novas cidades inteligentes empresas evoluem seus processos, produtos e posicionamento de mercado com o intuito de aumentar vendas ou buscar parcerias que propiciem o desenvolvimento de seus negócios, porém quais serão as características desse novo mercado? Qual o perfil do novo consumidor? Será que prefeituras estão preparadas para auxiliar empresas a captarem a demanda gerada no processo de construção de uma cidade inteligente? Visando responder esses questionamentos conduzimos essa pesquisa exploratória com auxílio de dados abertos para nos mostrar quais as contribuições ou oportunidades que a inteligência de mercado poderá proporcionar ao cenário empreendedor de uma cidade inteligente.

Spergularia iraqensis sp. nov. is described as a new species from Iraq. This species has been collected from Diyala Province in the central east of Iraq; it is closely related to Spergularia rubra (L.) J. Presl & C. Presl, 1819 and Spergularia bocconei (Scheele) Graebn., 1919.
The distinguishing of the morphological characteristics of the new species alongside the two similar species are discussed with photographs, and an identification key is given for Spergularia iraqensis and other closely related species.

The aim of this study is to outline the process of the extinction of Ukrainian culture in south-eastern
Poland as a result of Polish resettlement actions and the activities of the Ukrainian underground
movement (i.e., the Ukrainian Insurgent Army) in the post-war period (1944–1947). Concurrently, the
study offers an analysis of the image of the “Ukrainian Banderite”, created by propaganda in Polish
and Czechoslovak literature, journalism, and cinematography in the period from the mid-1940s to the
end of the 1980s. The authors state that both in Poland and in Czechoslovakia the analysed topic has
been subject to certain cyclical waves of interest, or current political demand or usefulness, but always
according to an established and politically accepted template. The black-and-white reception of the
issue, propaganda fictions, the concealment of facts, and the disproportionate highlighting of others,
which were applied in the literary and film production of the real-socialist period, only distorted the
historical objectivity of the issue and created a complicated stereotype in the collective memory.
This short article focuses on two heritage sites (the International Bomber Command Centre and Creswell Crags) and reflects on the ways in which such medium-size institutions are trying to find ways of maintaining offsite engagement with young audiences while at the same time generating revenues.

W 1995 roku sekcja GLAMA (Gay and Lesbian Alliance of Museums Australia) przygotowała ‘Zalecenia Dotyczące Społeczności LGBTQIA w Programach i Praktyce Muzealnej’, w celu zachęcenia większej ilości muzeów tego kraju do włączenia tematyki LGBTQIA do swoich programów. Artykuł przedstawia główne założenia tego dokumentu.</p>
Visitors to the museum should get an impression of Viking life in Haithabu as vivid as possible – that is why from time to time we heat the clay ovens for baking or cooking (See Figure 1). We noticed that quite high temperatures are reached, but these will decrease again quickly if there is no more fire inside the oven, although it tangibly keeps the warmth for a very long time. The question we wanted to answer was: how does the temperature change proceed in concrete terms, and what conclusions can be drawn for the plausible use of ovens in the Viking era? During this experiment data concerning the efficiency of the ovens for the time frame of a daily cycle (24 hours) was evaluated.
Se presenta un colgante de bronce calado con la representación esquemática y casi simétrica de una figura antropomorfa, que suele interpretarse como una divinidad relacionada con los animales. Este fue hallado en algún punto desconocido del entorno del municipio conquense de Puebla del Salvador y se trata de un modelo del que se conocen otros ejemplares en dos yacimientos ibéricos levantinos de Valencia y Alicante: La Bastida de les Alcusses y El Puntal de Salinas, y en uno céltico vettón de Ávila: La Osera. El colgante de la provincia de Cuenca puede ser la confirmación de una vía de comunicación septentrional hacia el interior de la península ibérica desde la costa mediterránea.

The article is devoted to an overview and analysis of Museum projects dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Russian revolution. Preparing for the anniversary initiated a return to the difficult topic, the desire to relate modern historical knowledge of the Museum and of a concept of Russian history on the whole space of the country. The author selects two main groups of Museum projects with meta-and microhistory, which are disclosed through the regional aspects of the event, the individual aspects, the monologue of a single event or a single artifact, cultural theoretical reflection, personal understanding of our contemporaries.
This study aims to explain the plot of the miniseries Bolívar (1983) by Venezuelan-American director, Betty Kaplan, from its beginning when Simón Bolívar is depicted in Paris, France in 1804, until the creation of Colombia in the Venezuelan city of Angostura in 1819. Fragmenting the scenes and the events related to the life and achievements of Simón Bolívar between 1804 and 1819, this article narrates all the matters proposed through the image of the Liberator and its context contrasting the plot with Bolivarian iconography, biography and literature in order to describe the events in which Bolívar is portrayed by Betty Kaplan. Furthermore, this article shares a series of original photographs from Betty Kaplan’s personal archive in order to illustrate the reader in a visual way.

El Museo Arqueológico de Córdoba cumple 150 años ligados de forma activa a la investigación arqueológica y a un singular recorrido museológico. Desde un principio, la trayectoria de esta institución ha estado condicionada por un constante crecimiento de sus colecciones y la persistente demanda de un espacio físico adecuado como sede. Y esas características y factores condicionantes continúan hoy día, con el Proyecto de Ampliación y Reforma de la institución, inacabado y demorado desde hace siete años. El Museo une en un mismo espacio excepcionales colecciones, un palacio del siglo XVI, un extenso yacimiento arqueológico, un edificio expresión de arquitectura contemporánea que conserva patrimonio, y el vasto bagaje histórico de la propia institución. El programa actual pone de manifiesto que este centro es muestra única y reflejo del carácter de la propia Córdoba, por su mestizaje y encuentro de culturas.

The development of open-air cultural heritage and archaeological areas is based upon their optimal safeguarding and management, and through the public awareness they generate. In this paper, considering different management issues and end goals, we will demonstrate how, through cooperation among specialized professionals, local authorities and the public, it is possible to revitalize public areas with distinct cultural heritage features. Case studies of two sites are considered, both managed by our volunteer archaeological group: the first is the site of Luceria, a Roman vicus located in a hilly rural area, while the second is the St. Paul Garden, an urban green space connected with indoor classical and medieval archaeological excavations. Our current effort is to create a broad range of activities in order to take advantage of the full potential of these areas. The activities are centred on public awareness, and include educational initiatives, experimental reconstructions, safeguarding the historical and archaeological heritage, and informing the public about it. The network of small archaeological sites we are working on is a self-sustainable approach in order to overcoming each area’s weak points.

El Museo de la Ciudad de Antequera, que celebró su cincuenta aniversario en 2016, ha sido objeto de una profunda renovación museológica y museográfica en los últimos años. Su colección arqueológica y la exposición permanente se han enriquecido notablemente con los fondos procedentes de las intervenciones arqueológicas desarrolladas desde 1985 en su término municipal. Presentamos aquí un esbozo de su historia, de su situación actual y de la incorporación de nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a la museografía que convertirán esta institución en un Museo del siglo XXI.

El Museu de Sabadell fue inaugurado el mes de agosto de 1931; sus orígenes, sin embargo, se remontan a 1912, cuando Joan Vila Cinca realizó las primeras excavaciones arqueológicas en la ciudad, concretamente junto al santuario de la Salut, donde localizó una villa romana. Este mismo año el Ayuntamiento creó la Junta de Museus i Excavacions, con el objetivo de continuar las excavaciones y crear un Museo. A partir de aquí, se desplegó una importante una actividad arqueológica que aún no ha cesado y que ha permitido que en la actualidad el Museo disponga de unas importantes colecciones arqueológicas, representativas del pasado de la ciudad y sus alrededores, que en muchos casos son un referente en el conocimiento de la prehistoria europea, como son la Bòbila Madurell o la necrópolis de campos de urnas del Bronce final y Primera Edad del Hierro de Can Piteu.

Aborda sobre o endomarketing aplicado às bibliotecas universitárias. Discorre sobre o surgimento do marketing. Fala da importância da utilização do endomarketing nas bibliotecas. Acredita que a aplicação do endomarketing traz um tríplice resultado com valores positivos ao quadro de funcionários e consequentemente trará satisfação ao usuário final. Nesse sentido, o objetivo geral da pesquisa é apresentar a aplicabilidade do endomarketing em bibliotecas universitárias e os objetivos específicos são: conceituar endomarketing; demonstrar suas ações e instrumentos; e delimitar as competências do bibliotecário quanto à sua aplicabilidade. Referencia uma gama de autores para galgar o êxito da presente pesquisa, as quais foram realizadas por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica em suportes impressos e digitais com a finalidade de obter embasamento teórico-metodológico. Constatou-se que a adoção do endomarketing propicia a melhoria na comunicação interna, qualidade dos produtos e serviços, satisfação da organização e funcionários. Conclui que as bibliotecas universitárias devem aplicar de forma estratégica o endomarketing a fim de otimizar seus serviços e produtos e proporcionar um melhor relacionamento entre a instituição, funcionário e consequentemente o público-alvo.
