Geometric wavefront sets of genuine Iwahori-spherical representations
Fan Gao, Runze Wang
For Iwahori-spherical genuine representations of central covers with positive real Satake parameters, we prove the upper bound inequality for their geometric wavefront sets, formulated for general genuine representations in an earlier work by Gao--Liu--Lo--Shahidi. Meanwhile, we show the equality is attained for covers of type A groups and for some representations of covers of the exceptional groups. We also verify the equality for certain Iwahori-spherical representations occurring in regular unramified principal series; this uses and generalizes the earlier work of Karasiewicz--Okada--Wang on theta representations. Lastly, we determine the leading coefficients in the Harish-Chandra character expansion of a theta representation when its geometric wavefront set is of a special type.
Improving physiology with improv
Mary Lemmer
A growing body of research suggests that improvisational theatre can have a positive impact on individuals’ well-being by promoting emotional expression, social connection and personal insight. Similarly, exposure to humour has been shown to confer some benefits to mental and physical health. Most studies have focused on passive exposure to humour or the induction of laughter. Improvisational comedy, which involves active group participation in humour creation, offers a unique opportunity to combine some of the therapeutic elements of both improvisational theatre and humour. Twenty-eight adults participated in a weekly improv comedy course delivered via Zoom and had their physiology and emotional states monitored. Participants wore Oura rings designed to measure physiological states continuously starting two weeks before the onset of improv classes to establish a baseline and throughout the six-week duration of the course. Emotional states were measured using self-report questionnaires. The study utilized a single-group design, so comparisons were within-subject. Participants self-reported increased feelings of creativity, connectedness, energy and empowerment after each class and a decrease in feeling tired and lonely. Oura rings’ data showed improvement in sleep quality and physical activity levels. Improvements in sleep quality were greater for older adults.

Formaty performatywne site-specific w spektaklach "D’ARC" i "Still Standing"
Danuta Kuźnicka
Celem artykułu jest pokazanie wielowymiarowych formatów performatywnych site-specific, tworzonych przy realizacji spektakli D’ARC (2024) i Still Standing (2023), zapewniających ich powstanie, przebieg i odbiór. Autorka identyfikuje formaty performatywne w obszarach, które Miwon Kwon w książce One Place After Another: Site Specific Art and Locational Identity (2002) nazwała paradygmatami: fenomenologicznym, socjologicznym i dyskursywnym. Opisując aspekty doświadczeniowe i interpretacyjne odbioru, korzysta z ustaleń Mateusza Chaberskiego zawartych w pracy Doświadczenie (syn)estetyczne: Performatywne aspekty przedstawień site-specific (2015). O wyborze D’ARC i Still Standing zadecydowała nie tylko ich ranga artystyczna, ale także dwa typy pracy z przestrzenią: site-specific i site-generic, które reprezentują. W omówieniach spektakli zostało podkreślone przenikanie się paradygmatów Kwon, a wskazanie czynników formatotwórczych pozwala zauważyć wielość możliwości kreacyjnych i potencjał oddziaływania społecznego.

O Pavão:
Fabio Dal Gallo, Cristina Alves de Macedo
This article aims to discuss the creation of narratives in fire juggling spectacles, based on the case study of the work O Pavão (The Peacock). The importance of the limit variable of the logic of the risk of the instrument at the moments of conception, building and manipulating fire instruments and props is highlighted, so that the risk factors are controlled for the artists and the audience. As a result, it was identified that the circus spectacle, which featured juggling acts together with fire props, followed a line of tension and relaxation, building a narrative that dialogued with the theme of the event.

Presentations of representations
Daniel Minahan, Andrew Putman
We give a new technique for constructing presentations by generators and relations for representations of groups like $SL_n(\mathbb{Z})$ and $Sp_{2g}(\mathbb{Z})$. Our results play an important role in recent work of the authors calculating the second homology group of the Torelli group.
Edoardo Ferravilla
Emanuela Agostini
Actor, playwright and capocomico, Edoardo Ferravilla is the most original personality of Milanese dialect theatre and, in the comic repertoire, one of the greatest exponents of Italian scene between 19th and 20th centuries. Creator of a series of lucky characters, such as Sûr Pedrin and Tecoppa, between 1872 and 1880 is a very prolific author.

Minimal representations of the metaplectic Lie supergroup and the super Segal-Bargmann transform
Sam Claerebout
We construct a Schrödinger model and a Fock model of a minimal representation of the metaplectic Lie supergroup $\mathrm{Mp}(2m|2n,2n)$. Then, we show that the Schrödinger model of the minimal representation leads to an already known Schrödinger model of the metaplectic representation of $\mathrm{Mp}(2m|2n,2n)$. Therefore, the Fock model of the minimal representation allows us to construct a Fock model of this metaplectic representation. We then construct an intertwining super Segal-Bargmann transform which extends the classical Segal-Bargmann transform.

Artists play games
Andrzej Pitrus
Andrzej Pitrus discusses complex relationships between the two worlds – art and computer/ games. Numerous artists are looking for inspirations in the world of an interactive entertainment, yet some of them are creating new paths of its development. Some of the artists focus on new and unique interfaces. Others refer to the mechanics of games to create their own interactive works. Bill Viola’s The Night Journey is an excellent example of such project. The author also reviews critical games, which are based on the mechanisms easily found in commercial games. Yet, their goal is to deconstruct them, rather than followig well known tracks. Pitrus examines this strategy in the works of a famous studio “Tale of Tales”.

Mitologías de la antropología teatral
Valeria Folini

Hybrid Nativism and Postcolonial Subjectivity in the Work of Hong Kong Choreographer Helen Lai
Chen Ya-Ping
The article looks at two dances by Hong Kong choreographer Helen Lai, HerStory and Tales of Two Cities, within the theoretic framework of hybrid nativism and postcolonial subjectivity, which constitute the essence of Hong Kong identity and cultural vitality. Lai’s choreographic strategies, through the tactics of intertexuality, polyphonic narrative lines and fluid subjectivities, vividly echo such postcolonial sensibility and cosmopolitan sophistication. Yet, the harsh political measures exercised by Beijing and the Hong Kong SAR government since the Anti-Extradition Movement in 2019 not only jeopardize the future of this cosmopolis of world finance, but would also mutilate its cultural vitality and artistic freedom.

The Representation Theory of Neural Networks
Marco Antonio Armenta, Pierre-Marc Jodoin
In this work, we show that neural networks can be represented via the mathematical theory of quiver representations. More specifically, we prove that a neural network is a quiver representation with activation functions, a mathematical object that we represent using a network quiver. Also, we show that network quivers gently adapt to common neural network concepts such as fully-connected layers, convolution operations, residual connections, batch normalization, pooling operations and even randomly wired neural networks. We show that this mathematical representation is by no means an approximation of what neural networks are as it exactly matches reality. This interpretation is algebraic and can be studied with algebraic methods. We also provide a quiver representation model to understand how a neural network creates representations from the data. We show that a neural network saves the data as quiver representations, and maps it to a geometrical space called the moduli space, which is given in terms of the underlying oriented graph of the network, i.e., its quiver. This results as a consequence of our defined objects and of understanding how the neural network computes a prediction in a combinatorial and algebraic way. Overall, representing neural networks through the quiver representation theory leads to 9 consequences and 4 inquiries for future research that we believe are of great interest to better understand what neural networks are and how they work.

Symmetrization of representations of $GL_N$
Taiwang Deng
In this article, we develop a process to symmetrize the irreducible admissible representation of $GL_N(\mathbb{Q}_p)$, as a consequence we obtain a more geometric understanding of the coefficient $m(\mathbf{b}, \mathbf{a})$ appearing in the decomposition of parabolic inductions, which allows us to prove a conjecture posed by Zelevinsky.
Alvis-Curtis Duality for Representations of Reductive Groups with Frobenius Maps
Junbin Dong
We generalize the Alvis-Curtis duality to the abstract representations of reductive groups with Frobenius maps. Similar to the case of representations of finite reductive groups, we show that the Alvis-Curtis duality of infinite type which we define in this paper also interchanges the irreducible representations in the principal representation category.
