This articel purpose to explain the concept of moral education with today’s education is inseparable from each other. Morality is very important in the study of Islam. Morality is a psychological condition that causes people to act impulsively and without careful planning, or consideration. The aim of this study is to determine whether Ibn Miskawaih’s moral education is still valid in today’s education. The data sources used are books, scientific journals, and records. The method used is qualitative with the type of research (kepustakaan). The findings of this study show that education is a process of forming human character towards a virtue, a correction of evil, and the process of improving. Ibn ‘Abbas emphasized more on moral education for human development, that is, the development of the soul with priorities comparable to the physics of pleasure, wealth, and power. Thus Ibn Miskawaih’s thought, he stated that if a person’s education is higher then his character will also be better. Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan Konsep Pendidikan akhlak dengan pendidikan masa kini tidak dapat dipisahkan satu sama lain. Akhlak sangat penting dalam kajian islam. Moralitas adalah kondisi psikologis yang menyebabkan orang bertindak secara impulsif dan tanpa perencanaan, atau pertimbangan yang hati-hati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan apakah pendidikan moral Ibnu Miskawaih masih berlaku dalam pendidikan saat ini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitataif dengan penelitian library research dengan sumber data berdasarkan studi literatur. Sumber utama yang digunakan dalam hal ini penelitiannya adalah buku Pendidikan Etika Ibnu Miskawaih. Sedangkan sumber sementara yang sekunder adalah jurnal, berita sumber-sumber yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan yang akan terjadi dibahas. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan, pendidikan adalah suatu proses pembentukan karakter manusia menuju suatu kebajikan, suatu koreksi keburukan, dan proses perbaikan menjadi lebih baik. Ibnu miskawaih lebih menekankan pendidikan moral untuk pembangunan manusia, yaitu pengembangan jiwa dengan keutamaan sebanding dengan jasmani kesenangan, kekayaan, dan kekuasaan. Dengan demikian pemikiran Ibnu Miskawaih, ia menyatakan jika pendidikan seseorang lebih tinggi maka karakternya juga akan lebih baik. A coursebook is one of the essential learning resources. However, limited research has highlighted the evaluation of English coursebooks for the high school level. This research intends to assess the efficacy of three high school English coursebooks under the Merdeka Curriculum to determine their strengths and weaknesses in meeting curriculum expectations and enhancing student learning. While the coursebooks are designed to aid English teaching and integrate reform, many reports have emerged regarding their usability, content relevance, and alignment with the local context. In evaluating these coursebooks with SQRAR, this research aims to analyze the suitability of these materials for the target students, the variety of exercises proposed, and the balance achieved between theoretical instruction and practical language use. The findings highlight the challenges educators and learners face regarding these materials and articulate suggestions for future coursebook revisions, such as adding more explicit teaching strategies, giving greater attention to pluralistic approaches, increasing engagement with authentic materials, and more modern technology-oriented tasks. The evaluation seeks to support ongoing efforts in developing curricula to ensure that English coursebooks can effectively foster students' learning.

This research aims to determine the effect of basic literacy on the reading ability of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 065011 Medan Selayang, district for the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research is quantitative using the expost-facto method. The population of this study was all fourth grade students at SD Negeri 065011 Medan Selayang District, totaling 77 students. Sampling was taken using a purposive sampling technique and 28 students were obtained. The results of this study show that students' reading ability is in the very good category with an average of 82.46. The results of this research show that the results of the correlation test can be seen that the correlation coefficient is 0.687, meaning that r_count (0,687) ≥ r_tabel (0.374) then is accepted. So there is a very strong influence between basic literacy on the reading ability of students in class IV of SD Negeri 065011 Medan Selayang District. It can also be seen from the t-test where t_count > t_table, namely 4,817 ≥ 2,056, thus stating that h_a is accepted. This shows that there is a significant positive influence from the use of basic literacy on the reading ability of students in class IV of SD Negeri 065011, Medan Selayang District, Academic Year 2023/2024.

This article investigates the quality of Islamic education in the practice of dualism in Indonesia. This dichotomy is related to differences in the quality of Islamic education, as well as its implications for graduates of Islamic education institutions in the field. Through literature research, it shows that dualism in the management and implementation of Islamic education in Indonesia creates significant challenges, including non-uniformity in educational standards, an imbalance between religious education and general knowledge, as well as gaps in the quality of education between institutions. However, this article also identifies efforts to overcome this dualism, such as curriculum integration programs and capacity building for education managers. By analyzing quality in the dualistic dynamics of Islamic education management, this article provides valuable insight for education stakeholders, including the government, educational institutions, and the wider community, to develop a more holistic and integrated strategy in improving the quality and relevance of Islamic education in Indonesia

Extrinsic motivation is an important factor in learning. However, many teachers have not been able to provide proper motivation by giving negative labeling to students. This happens because the teacher does not yet have the proper axiological foundation in viewing students as the image and likeness of God. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the axiological study of the teacher's role as a role model in providing motivation for students. The method used is a literature study. The result of the study showed that the Christian teacher needs to live up to the values in the Bible so that the teacher has the basic values of correct behaviour, namely the Word of God. Teachers must also imitate Christ because He is the perfect role model for humans.

Purpose – This research aims to determine the impact of Camtasia-based learning videos on vocabulary mastery among eighth-grade students at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman Design/methods/approach – This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of 168 eighth-grade students from MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman, with a sample of 56 students selected non-randomly. Class VIII.6 (28 students) was the experimental group, while Class VIII.5 (28 students) was the control group. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and documentation. Analysis included descriptive statistics, normality testing (Shapiro-Wilk), and homogeneity testing (Levene’s test). A paired-sample t-test in SPSS version 29 was used to assess the significance of vocabulary mastery differences. Findings – Findings show significant improvement in the experimental group's vocabulary mastery, with pre-test scores averaging 60.178 and post-test scores increasing to 83.035. The t-test analysis revealed a calculated "T" value of 13.487, exceeding the table "T" value of 1.70329, with a Sig. (2-tailed) result of 0.00, confirming statistical significance. These results indicate a substantial positive effect of Camtasia-based learning videos on students' vocabulary mastery. Research implications/limitations – The research's implications suggest the potential of such technological approaches in enhancing language education outcomes. Limitations include the focus on a single grade level and institution. Future research could explore long-term vocabulary retention and application to other language skills. Originality/value – This research contributes to technology-assisted language learning by providing empirical evidence on the effectiveness of Camtasia-based videos for vocabulary mastery. It offers insights for educators and curriculum developers in language education, potentially informing local educational strategies and broader technological applications in language learning. Abstrak Tujuan – Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh video pembelajaran berbasis Camtasia terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa kelas VIII di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman. Desain/metode/pendekatan – Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen dan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi terdiri dari 168 siswa kelas VIII di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman, dengan sampel sebanyak 56 siswa yang dipilih secara non-acak. Kelas VIII.6 (28 siswa) menjadi kelompok eksperimen, sedangkan Kelas VIII.5 (28 siswa) menjadi kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, post-test, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Temuan – Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penguasaan kosakata kelompok eksperimen, dengan skor rata-rata pre-test sebesar 60,178 dan meningkat menjadi 83,035 pada post-test. Analisis uji t mengungkapkan nilai "T" hitung sebesar 13,487, melebihi nilai "T" tabel sebesar 1,70329, dengan hasil Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00, yang mengonfirmasi signifikansi statistik. Hasil ini menunjukkan dampak positif yang substansial dari video pembelajaran berbasis Camtasia terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa. Implikasi/batasan penelitian – Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi pendekatan berbasis teknologi dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran bahasa. Keterbatasan penelitian meliputi fokus pada satu tingkat kelas dan institusi. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengeksplorasi retensi kosakata jangka panjang dan penerapannya pada keterampilan bahasa lainnya. Orisinalitas/nilai – Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pembelajaran bahasa berbantuan teknologi dengan menyediakan bukti empiris tentang efektivitas video berbasis Camtasia untuk penguasaan kosakata. Penelitian ini menawarkan wawasan bagi pendidik dan pengembang kurikulum dalam pendidikan bahasa, serta berpotensi menginformasikan strategi pendidikan lokal dan aplikasi teknologi yang lebih luas dalam pembelajaran bahasa.

Continuous professional development (CPD) is critical for college tutors to maintain their effectiveness as educators and keep their teaching practices up-to-date. By investing time and effort in CPD, tutors can provide a better learning experience for their students and ensure that they are well-equipped to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing educational landscape. In this regard, the study examined how the CPD impacted the student’s Satisfaction, Academic Achievement, and Classroom Engagement. The study further assessed the moderating role of the tutor’s teaching strategies and the student’s learning strategies. A quantitative study and a quasi-experimental design were used to demonstrate links between the study variables. A sample of 346 students was taken from a total population of 3200 students, and a sample of 191 teachers was taken from a population of 380 teachers using Krejcie and Morgan (1970). The data was coded with SPSS version 23 and transferred to SmartPLS4 for a partial least square regression analysis. The study found that the teacher’s continuous capacity development was the important factor influencing students’ academic performance. Besides, their teaching and the student’s learning strategies. For policy recommendations in resources allocation to improve student’s academic achievement, management should first focus on assisting teachers with better classroom management, and career development and improve their teaching skills through the CPD programs. Abstrak Pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan (CPD) sangat penting bagi pengajar perguruan tinggi untuk mempertahankan efektivitas mereka sebagai pendidik dan menjaga praktik pengajaran mereka tetap mutakhir. Dengan menginvestasikan waktu dan tenaga dalam CPD, tutor dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih baik bagi siswanya dan memastikan bahwa mereka diperlengkapi dengan baik untuk menghadapi tantangan lanskap pendidikan yang berubah dengan cepat. Dalam hal ini, penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana CPD berdampak pada Kepuasan siswa, Prestasi Akademik, dan Keterlibatan Kelas. Penelitian ini lebih lanjut menilai peran moderasi dari strategi pengajaran tutor dan strategi pembelajaran siswa. Penelitian kuantitatif dan desain eksperimen semu digunakan untuk menunjukkan hubungan antar variabel penelitian. Sampel diambil sebanyak 346 siswa dari total populasi 3200 siswa, dan sampel guru diambil sebanyak 191 siswa dari populasi 380 guru dengan menggunakan Krejcie dan Morgan (1970). Data diberi kode dengan SPSS versi 23 dan ditransfer ke SmartPLS4 untuk analisis regresi kuadrat terkecil parsial. Studi ini menemukan bahwa pengembangan kapasitas guru yang berkelanjutan merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi kinerja akademik siswa. Selain itu, pengajaran mereka dan strategi belajar siswa. Untuk rekomendasi kebijakan dalam alokasi sumber daya untuk meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa, manajemen pertama-tama harus fokus pada membantu guru dalam pengelolaan kelas yang lebih baik, dan pengembangan karir serta meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar mereka melalui program CPD.

The COVID-19 pandemic leaves various problems in life, especially the problem of children's education. Children who should be able to experience school, meet friends and teachers during the learning process, are forced to learn from home using technology media, namely gadgets or cellphones or smartphones. The PSBB to PPKM policies have the impact of banning offline learning for students. So the selection of online learning must be done. So, it is inevitable that students must use gadgets to meet their needs in education. Students who in fact sit in elementary school every day have to look at their cellphones to find out the progress of learning given by their teachers at school. The problem of online learning creates nomophobia for children. Anxiety and fear when away from gadgets overshadows the psychology of children during the Covid 19 pandemic. From this problem, this article aims to provide an analysis of the assistance provided to mothers in Pasirian District, Lumajang Regency. This article describes the service activities carried out in Pasirian District in order to assist mothers to always be able to accompany their children in the learning process and be wise in using gadgets. This service uses the PAR technique, namely by using a ranking matrix of problems that will later be revealed from community activities. So it was agreed that the urgent problem to be solved was the existence of nomophobia. The results of this analysis stated that nomophobia can be solved by optimizing parental involvement in children's activities. Nomophobia can lead to mental disorders, so that the stages of completion are by first conducting parenting activities for mothers, then providing assistance to children in using gadgets and education in the wise use of gadgets. Pandemi covid 19 menyisakan berbagai persoalan dalam kehidupan, terutama masalah pendidikan anak. Anak-anak yang seharusnya bisa merasakan bangku sekolah, bertemu dengan teman dan gurunya pada saat proses pembelajaran, terpaksa harus belajar dari rumah dengan menggunakan media tekhnologi yaitu gadget atau handphone atau smartphone. Kebijakan PSBB sampai PPKM membawa dampak larangan pembelajaran secara luring bagi siswa. Sehingga pemilihan pembelajaran daring harus dilakukan. Sehingga, tak bisa dielakkan lagi siswa harus menggunakan gadget dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya dalam pendidikan. Siswa yang notabene duduk di bangku sekolah dasar setiap hari harus melihat handphonenya untuk mengetahui progress pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh gurunya di sekolah. Persoalan dari pembelajaran daring menciptakan nomophobia bagi anak-anak. Kecemasan dan ketakutan ketika berjauhan dari gadget membayangi psikologi anak-anak di masa pandemic Covid 19. Dari problem tersebut artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan analisis pada pendampingan yang dilakukan pada kaum ibu di Kecamatan Pasirian Kabupaten Lumajang. Artikel ini memaparkan kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan di Kecamatan Pasirian dalam rangka pendampingan kepada kaum ibu untuk selalu bisa mendampingi putera puterinya dalam proses pembelajaran serta bijak dalam penggunaan gadget. Pengabdian ini menggunakan teknik PAR, yaitu dengan menggunakan matrik ranking permasalahan yang nanti diungkap dari aktivitas masyarakat. Sehingga diperoleh kesepakatan bahwa masalah urgen yang harus dipecahkan adalah keberadaan nomophobia. Hasil dari analisis ini dinyatakan bahwa nomophobia bisa diselesaikan dengan cara optimalisasi keterlibatan orang tua dalam kegiatan anak. Nomophobia bisa mengakibatkan mental disorder, sehingga tahapan penyelesaiannya dengan melakukan kegiatan parenting terlebih dahulu kepada para ibu, kemudian dilakukan pendampingan pada anak-anak dalam penggunaan gadget serta edukasi dalam penggunaan gadget yang bijak.

The 21st-century skills are critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills. These skills are needed by someone to be successful in facing challenges, an increasingly complex and uncertain life, and to be successful in life and career in the world of work. This study aims to analyze critical and creative thinking skills in terms of the inquiry component in science learning in elementary schools. The research sample is elementary school students, with a total of 31 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The experimental research method used in this research is quasi-experimental. Quasi-experimental is used so that researchers can analyze the differences between the two treatments in the control class and the experimental class. The research design used was a non-equivalent control group design. The results of the analysis of critical and creative thinking skills for the control class inquiry model were 45.3% and 54.7%. In comparison, the experimental class obtained 65.5%, so the influence of the inquiry model on experimental class students is greater than the control class. The inquiry model has a positive effect on critical and creative thinking skills. With this research, the inquiry model can improve the critical thinking skills and creative thinking of fifth-grade elementary school students in science learning.

Abstract Intolerance and extremism have recently increased in the academic atmosphere or among students. The purpose of this study was to discover the origins of intolerance and radicalism among students, identify the core cause of educational problems, and examine the role of cultural education in building the character of Indonesian students. The Delphi approach was used to assess data gathered from a variety of expert informants. The study's findings revealed four significant causes of intolerance and radicalization: personal factors, education, economic-social-political-cultural issues, and a lack of religious comprehension. The study also found that religious education is less in-depth, with less reading, weak persuasive logic, and a focus on binary truth. Cultural education begins with establishing superior national identity through the Pancasila character ("gotong-royong" or cooperation, empathy, and good critical-thinking abilities); fosters the habit of reading texts critically and comprehensively. Both serve as the foundation for pupils' capacity to solve complex challenges. This study makes recommendations for promoting pupils' religious belief in God and tolerance values. Intoleransi dan ekstremisme akhir-akhir ini meningkat di lingkungan akademik atau di kalangan mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui asal mula intoleransi dan radikalisme di kalangan siswa, mengidentifikasi inti penyebab masalah pendidikan, dan mengkaji peran pendidikan budaya dalam membangun karakter siswa Indonesia. Pendekatan Delphi digunakan untuk menilai data yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai informan ahli. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan empat penyebab signifikan intoleransi dan radikalisasi: faktor pribadi, pendidikan, masalah ekonomi-sosial-politik-budaya, dan kurangnya pemahaman agama. Studi tersebut juga menemukan bahwa pendidikan agama kurang mendalam, dengan bacaan yang kurang, logika persuasif yang lemah, dan fokus pada kebenaran biner. Pendidikan budaya diawali dengan pembentukan jati diri bangsa yang unggul melalui karakter Pancasila (“gotong-royong” atau kerjasama, empati, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang baik); menumbuhkan kebiasaan membaca teks secara kritis dan komprehensif. Keduanya berfungsi sebagai dasar bagi kapasitas siswa untuk memecahkan tantangan yang kompleks. The purpose of this study was to analyze accidents due to road conditions based on the perspective of the Civil Code and Law Number 22 of 2009 and analyze the government's responsibility for accidents due to road conditions. This study used a normative juridical method, a statutory approach, a historical approach, and a case approach. The data sources were obtained from primary and secondary legal materials, which were analyzed using deductive logic techniques. Based on the Civil Code and Law Number 22 of 2009, accidents due to road conditions were unlawful acts committed by the government. The government's responsibility for accidents due to road conditions was not only carried out by repairing damaged roads but must be responsible to victims by providing compensation either materially or immaterially. The government did not enforce its obligation to repair damaged roads, resulting in a traffic law incident.

The equality of the rights of men and women is not only in a career in the world of work during, but more importantly in the review of Islamic philosophy is the equal right to education both religious and general education. The purpose of this article is to examine how the resilience of women's education in the philosophy of Islamic education. This study uses a literature review approach, first the author examines how the resilience of women's education then views of some Muslim philosophers on women's education. Furthermore, it examines the role and position of women, the verses of the Koran that deal with the role of women, children's education and women's education and women's public space in the perspective of Islamic education philosophy. This article concludes that in Islam every Muslim male and female are required to know about aqeedah, halal and haram and other legal issues, so that the position of women is equal to men in obtaining teaching with the provisions that they must be able to maintain their nature as Muslim women and there are no restrictions in getting more knowledge for women than that Islam gave them the right to learn in the same opportunities as men, even the Prophet Muhammad gave permission for them to go out to prepare their future on condition that they should cover their genitals.

Pendidikan abstinensi (absen seks) pada pelajar remaja belum umum dilaksanakan di institusi pendidikan Indonesia. Berbagai negara lain di dunia memiliki variasi dalam penerapannya, namun semua sepakat bahwa pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi, seksualitas, dan kependudukan sangat penting bagi masyarakat, terutama remaja. Studi ini bertujuan membandingkan penerapan pendidikan abstinensi serta dampaknya di Indonesia dan beberapa negara di dunia. Kajian dilakukan pada tiga puluh artikel terkait abstinensi dan pendidikan abstinensi yang dipublikasi baik di Indonesia maupun dunia serta analisis kompetensi inti dan kompetensi dasar Kurikulum 2013 jenjang sekolah dasar. Beberapa artikel mengklaim bahwa pendidikan hanya-abstinensi tidak berdampak pada penurunan kasus kehamilan remaja/sebelum menikah. Artikel lain membuktikan bahwa pendidikan abstinensi yang dilengkapi materi tertentu yang sejalan dengan nilai yang dianut masyarakat berdampak pada pengetahuan dan perilaku sehat dan bertanggung jawab. Namun demikian, orang tua dan guru sebagai pendidik masih merasakan tantangan dan hambatan dalam pelaksanaannya. Implementasi kebijakan yang mendesak dan dibutuhkan saat ini berupa identifikasi materi pendidikan, penggunaan media baik sebagai alat bantu maupun bahan ajar, serta pengembangan buku pedoman untuk guru.
