This paper aims to discuss Technology and Educational Innovation in Islam. The research conducted is a library-based study. Its objective is to seek evidence of the Qur’anic perspective on technology found within the Qur’an itself. This topic is particularly engaging as an academic study within the framework of tafsir ilmi (scientific exegesis), using a thematic exegesis approach (tafsir maudu’i). The study concludes that the Qur’an does, in fact, address technology in several surahs and verses, including: first, Surah Hud verse 37; second, Surah An-Nahl verse 14; and third, Surah Al-Kahf verse 96. The interpretation of these verses was carried out through contextual and historical approaches, while also considering the views of scholars and experts. The findings of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the Qur’anic perspective on technology and innovation, as well as how these views can be applied in the context of modern science.

Purpose – This study is aimed at exploring how the topic of functions was organised into knowledge to be delivered in textbooks based on the Malaysian and Indonesian mathematics curriculum, and how the topic reconstruction in both countries differed.
Methodology – A documentary research method was used in this study. Study data were collected through the examination of school mathematics textbooks, specifically Grade 8 textbooks in Malaysia and in Indonesia. The data used was the sequence of tasks presented in the chapter on functions in each country’s mathematics textbooks. This study analysed data by identifying the learning objectives of functions in both countries' curricula; categorizing task sequences in textbooks using the didactic co-determinacy framework—from domain level to sector level, theme level, and task level; and examining the similarities and differences on the topic of functions and the categorized task sequences in textbooks following the Malaysian and Indonesian mathematics curricula respectively.
Findings – The findings indicated that the presentation of functions in Malaysian and Indonesian textbooks followed a similar sequence, beginning with an introduction to functions, progressing to their representation, and concluding with their application in solving real-world problems. Malaysian and Indonesian textbooks both introduced functions as a subset of relations and demonstrate various representations, including arrow diagrams, ordered pairs, tables, formulas, and graphs. While both curricula shared a common foundation in the set-theoretical definition of functions, they differed in their approach to problem-solving. Malaysian textbooks emphasized the use of function graphs more extensively, whereas Indonesian textbooks frequently utilized function formulas as problem-solving tools.
Significance – This comparative study provides a practical application of the didactic transposition process of knowledge organised in the mathematics curriculum of two different countries. The results also contribute to the potential pathway for learning functions by drawing lessons from two different systems of education.

Purpose – This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the effectiveness and reformulation of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in the modern era.
Design/methods/approach – The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources and data collection techniques used were obtained from books, journals, or scientific articles, and the analysis technique used was content analysis.
Findings – The results of the study show that, first, changes to Islamic Religious Education in the modern era are very complex, because the elements of modernity continue to undergo changes in terms of teaching, material, methods, and approaches. The effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in the modern era requires a reformulation of learning that is contextual and adaptive. Therefore, the differences that arise due to the development of science and technology need to be seen as a gift that enriches comprehensive and holistic understanding; second, learning is directed at solving the problems of modernity faced by Muslims through scientific, social, and religious approaches; third, the delivery of Islamic knowledge is not dogmatic, but emphasizes historical analysis so that students are able to understand the dynamics of the development of Islamic teachings; fourth, text-based learning methods must be balanced with critical analysis of social realities to make them more applicable; fifth, strengthening the spiritual dimension through Sufism is a fundamental requirement in shaping religious character; sixth, the effectiveness of Islamic Education is not only measured by individual piety, but also by its contribution to building social piety.
Research implications/limitations – Data sources are limited to online and offline scientific literature based on literature reviews as the primary source. Future researchers can use more in-depth techniques and methods such as research and development or case studies.
Originality/value – The results of this study provide knowledge and implications for IRE teaching models and their reformulation to contribute to the challenges and progress of the times, so that synergy between various transformations can be achieved.

Academic services are an important element in education, as they provide students with access to information and support. At Telkom University Purwokerto, there are obstacles to the efficiency of academic services, especially due to information delays and the high burden of onsite services. To overcome this challenge, a Telegram-based chatbot, "SiAkif," was developed using the Large Language Model (LLM) model from Gemini AI. Gemini AI's selection is based on its ability to understand complex conversational contexts and generate accurate and relevant responses. This research aims to implement the Telegram chatbot that utilizes Gemini AI for Indonesian-language academic services. The implementation showed satisfactory results, with the chatbot "SiAkif" recording an average BLEU score of 0.88, which reflects good performance and response. This chatbot effectively reduces information delays, expands service accessibility, and improves student experience in interacting with institutions. Through "SiAkif," the institution is expected to strengthen the interaction between students and academic services, making it a potential solution for digital transformation in education.
This study examines the relationship between intellectual capital, core competencies, and competitive advantage within higher education institutions in Indonesia. These institutions are pivotal in adapting to globalization and enhancing educational competitiveness. Despite existing research, there remains a gap in understanding how these elements interact dynamically within the Indonesian context, particularly how intellectual capital directly and indirectly influences competitive advantage through core competencies. Our population includes all universities listed in the 2023 Webometrics world university rankings, focusing on lecturers involved in planning and administrative tasks. A simple random sampling method was employed to select the sample. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via Partial Least Square (PLS) 3.0 software. The findings reveal that intellectual capital significantly influences competitive advantage, mediated by core competencies unique to Indonesian higher education. This research offers insights for stakeholders, including education managers, policymakers, and academics, to develop strategies that enhance competitive positioning by optimizing intellectual capital and evolving core competencies aligned with industry needs and societal demands in the digital era. This study fills the identified research gap by providing empirical evidence and strategic insights into the interplay of these critical factors.

Extensive reading (ER) should be implemented properly based on ER principles. The most known ER principles is ten ER principles proposed by Bamford and Day that are widely referred by ER practitioners around the globe. Unfortunately, these principles are not always implemented in ER classes, even in ELT study program in university. Related to it, ER classes in a university in Indonesia were reported to not conducted ER enthusiastically. It was suspected that it occurred because of lecturers’ confusion on what to do in their ER classes due to their insufficient comprehension of ER and its principles which eventually reduce pleasure which supposed to be existing in ER classes. Based on that suspicion, this study focused on investigating the lecturers’ familiarity on ER principles and the implementation of ER principles regarding the expectation to conduct pleasurable ER classes. The data were collected through in-dept interviews to lecturers and questionnaire to students. This study found that not all of the lecturers have adequate knowledge on ER principles which eventually hindered them to teach ER properly and pleasurably. It was also revealed that pressure was felt by both students and lecturers. The pressure increased when the ER involved rigid assignment and assessment.

Pendidikan nasional adalah bagian penting dari pembangunan suatu negara, dan nilai-nilai keagamaan seringkali memegang peran yang signifikan dalam masyarakat. Dalam konteks negara-negara dengan mayoritas muslim, seperti Indonesia, penting untuk memahami bagaimana tujuan pendidikan nasional berhubungan dengan prinsip-prinsip dan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis relevansi pendidikan nasional dan pendidikan Islam, pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pengintegrasiannya dan kendala dalam pelaksanaanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian kepustakaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui buku, artikel, laporan pemerintah, kebijakan pendidikan, dan karya-karya ilmiah lainnya yang relevan dengan relevansi pendidikan nasional dan pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1. Terdapat kompleksitas hubungan antara tujuan pendidikan nasional dan pandangan Islam tentang pendidikan 2. Ada empat pendekatan dalam pelaksanaan integrasi yakni; pendekatan kurikulum terpadu, pendekatan pembelajaran yang holistik, pendekatan dialog antar agama dan pendekatan keterlibatan masyarakat 3. Terdapat kendala dalam pelaksanaanya yakni; perbedaan interpretasi agama, persaingan dengan kurikulum sekuler, isu-isu politik dan kekurangan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam mengidentifikasi tren, tantangan, dan peluang dalam mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip Islam dalam pendidikan nasional, serta bagaimana pendidikan dapat berperan dalam membentuk masyarakat yang lebih baik sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam.
Penelitian ini membahas pengelolaan pondok pesantren dalam pengembangan pendidikan agama islam dengan locus pondok pesantren Baitul Quran Kabupaten Lingga. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan dan mengklasifikasikan temuan lapangan sesuai dengan kondisi dan tujuan penelitian. Dalam hasil kajian bahwa Pondok Pesantren Baitul Quran memiliki Visi, Misi dan Program yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan fungsi-fungsi strategis Pendidikan Agama Islam agar potensi PAI dapat bersaing antar Ponpes secara nasional dan global. Hal ini dilakukan dengan melakukan inovasi dan kerjasama dalam berbagai strategi dan evaluasi sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Disamping itu, juga mengupayakan pengembangan PAI berwawasan global dalam masyarakat.
Mathematics is constantly evolving in accordance with the human need for technology. Therefore, mathematics is a subject that is taught at each level of education, according to the needs of all levels of education. In Indonesia, mathematics is one of the major subjects in primary up to secondary school. It aims to provide learners the ability of higher order thinking skills (HOTS). In order to measure the achievement of the objectives of mathematics learning, the government annually conducts the national examination for mathematics courses. It causes mathematics became one of subjects that is feared by most students and consequently make some teachers and students changed mathematics course “learning objectives†from reaching HOTS to just passing the national examinations. So, many unreliable quick ways emerge to solve the math problems. Some of the ways sometimes led to misconceptions in mathematics, which would obstruct the ability of the students’ HOTS. This article aims to show some of the misconceptions that are often encountered in solving mathematics problems. By recognizing the misconceptions, teachers are expected to avoid them and optimally anticipate the achievement of the “true†objectives of learning mathematics.
Buku ini ditulis dengan baik oleh Junihot Simanjuntak. Beliau memaparkan filsafat pendidikan dan pendidikan Kristen sebagai hal yang penting khususnya pendidikan dalam kalangan gereja. Buku ini di awali dengan penjelasan mengenai filsafat dan berbagai alirannya hingga lanjut kepada pendidikan Kristen dan urgensinya bagi tanggung jawab orang percaya pada masa kini. Dalam buku ini, Simanjuntak menekankan perlunya bagi gereja untuk memperhatikan pengajaran dalam setiap ibadah atau kegiatan gereja. Dengan adanya pengajaran tersebut diharapkan jemaat dapat semakin bertumbuh secara kualitas iman.
Keterbatasan pemahaman guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran saat daring serta belum adanya penanaman konsep pada muatan IPA menyebabkan siswa kurang dapat berpikir kritis sehingga tujuan pembelajaran belum tercapai sepenuhnya. Maka, dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut agar kegiatan pembelajaran dapat optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran berupa flipbook berbasis kasus untuk siswa kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian adalah pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 2 ahli materi, 2 ahli media, 2 praktisi, 6 orang uji coba kelompok kecil, dan 3 orang siswa uji coba individu. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan angkat/kuesioner untuk pengumpulan data. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu ahli materi mendapatkan rata-rata 4,3 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik, ahli media memperoleh rata-rata skor 4,6 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik, praktisi memperoleh rata-rata skor 4,8 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh rata-rata skor 4,4 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik, uji coba individu dengan rata-rata skor 4,5 dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Jadi, disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran flipbook layak dan valid untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.
The purpose of this development is to produce a mobile-based interactive multimedia application program product that is eligible for use in high school English learning class XI. Mobile-based interactive multimedia products can be used as complementary supplements in the English learning process. Interactive multimedia application program is packaged into the form of mobile learning with the use of mobile devices or smartphones. The details of the material content and interface design are designed with a user friendly system to be easily understood and used by the user. There are interesting self-contained exercises. The advantages of mobile-based interactive multimedia can be used independently without limited time and space. Can be used clasikall with teacher's guide. Mobile-free interactive multimedia development procedure using Lee &Owens model, 2004. Responses from media experts and material experts to interactive multimedia products received a positive response. Product utilization trials were conducted on grade XI high school students. Tujuan pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk program aplikasi multimedia interaktif berbasis mobile yang layak digunakan pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris SMA kelas XI. Produk multimedia interaktif berbasis mobile dapat digunakan sebagai suplemen pelengkap dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Program aplikasi multimedia interaktif dikemas kedalam bentuk mobile learning dengan pemanfaatan menggunakan mobile device atau smartphone. Rincian konten materi dan desain interface dirancang dengan sistem user friendly agar mudah dipahami dan digunakan oleh pengguna. Terdapat latihan - latihan soal mandiri yang menarik. Keunggulan multimedia interaktif berbasis mobile dapat digunakan secara mandiri tanpa terbatas waktu dan ruang. Dapat digunakan secara clasikall dengan panduan guru. Prosedur pengembangan multimedia interaktif bebasis mobile menggunakan model Lee & Owens, 2004. Salah satu diantara nilai pendidikan Islam yang universal adalah menubuhkan perilaku manusia eksistensi lingkungan yang ramah belajar khususnya di kampus, melalui upaya menjaga dan memelihara lingkungan bebas dari sampah plasik, salah satunya melalui mendesain nilai profetik pada “lingkungan fisik” dan “lingkungan sosial” yang ada di kampus, kedua unsur lingkungan tersebut merupakan satu kesatuan yang harus didesain agar ramah untuk belajar.
Menubuhkan perilaku individu dan kelompok menjaga lingkungan yang ramah bebas plastik masih sedikit yang membahas, khususnya dari sudut pandang keagamaan, sedangkan yang ada kebanyakan meninjau dari sudut pandang keterampilan motorik mengelola plasstik.
Penelitian ini mengungkap perilaku sivitas akademika fakultas tarbiyah lingkungan bebas plastic, menggunakan ancangan desain partisipatoris pendampingan membangun program yang bersumber dari potensi sumberdaya manusia dan sumberdaya lainnya di lingkungan fakultas sehingga membntuk perilaku sivitas akademika memiliki “nir sadar”terhadap lingkungan fisik dan sosial di fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Madura.
Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu: a) menubuhkan kesadaran perilaku sivitas akademika fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Madura melalui; program tarbiyah berseri terintegrasi pemeliharaan lingkungan zero plastik, melakukan habituasi zero plastik oleh pimpinan kepada sicitas akademika di tarbiyah, penyiapan sarana sampah yang cukup, b) Implementasi penataan lingkungan zero plastik di fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Madura dengan pendampingan keterampilan mengolah sampah dan bahan plastik, penyiapan regulasi untuk mengurangi dan menggati bahan plastik, memasukkan nilai zero plastic dalam kurikulum pembelajaran
Saran yang diberikan adalah a) kepada pimpinan fakultas hendaknya pendampingan kearah perubahan perilaku sadar bebas dari bahan dan sampah plastic dilakukan secara serius dan berkelanjutan, b) kepada sivitas akademika fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Madura mendukung usaha nir sadar agar menjaga lingkungan terbebas dari bahan dan sampah plastik.
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online mathematics subject learning during covid-19. This study used a mixed method with the fifth-graders of SD Muhammadiyah 49 Jakarta Pusat as the study's subjects. This study used observation, questionnaires via a Google form, and interviews as the data collection technique. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The study's results showed that online learning had been effective as seen from the learning process, and the learning objectives that have been achieved. The learning process was running effectively, as seen from several aspects, including the learning process using learning media and seeing interactions between students and teachers. Then, from the outcome aspects, including the achievements made after the learning process, such as the level of student's comprehension.
This article describes the role of an Islamic boarding school in character education in the era of globalization. This article used a literature research approach. In this research, Islamic boarding school had been able to have a role in the students’ character building supported by the main figure who is a Kiai. It can not be separated from the role of a teacher/Kiai in producing students who have noble character. The role of Islamic boarding school in character education is Islamic boarding school as guardian and preserver of religious values; Islamic boarding school as the innovator of religious understanding; and as inspirer, motivator, and dynamist of development implementation at the local and regional levels.
The study aims to explore the paradigm of Islamic education, democratic education to face the globalization challenges in Indonesia. This research method was a qualitative approach with type of literature study. Paradigmatically, democratic education is the process to develop all human potentials that values of plurarity and heterogeneity as a consequence of cultural, ethnic, ethnic, and religious diversity. The emphasized main values in democratic education are equality and tolerance. Whereas in Islamic education, the values of transcendence taught in the curriculum must be practiced in daily life in order to achieve the pious charity conference. The challenges of globalization that have penetrated into the world of education have become a driving force for inclusive and sustainable educational innovation.This study is expected to provide contributions for academician, education practical, and teacher in Indonesia as an actualization of Islamic education and democratic education to confront globalization challenges in Indonesia. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi paradigma pendidikan Islam, pendidikan demokratis untuk menghadapi tantangan globalisasi di Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi literatur. Paradigmatically, pendidikan demokratis adalah proses untuk mengembangkan semua potensi manusia yang menghargai pluralitas dan heterogenitas sebagai konsekuensi dari keragaman budaya, etnis, etnis, dan agama. Nilai-nilai utama yang ditekankan dalam pendidikan demokratis adalah kesetaraan dan toleransi. Sedangkan dalam pendidikan Islam, nilai-nilai transendensi yang diajarkan dalam kurikulum harus dipraktikkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk mencapai konferensi amal saleh. Tantangan globalisasi yang telah merambah ke dunia pendidikan telah menjadi kekuatan pendorong bagi inovasi pendidikan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Studi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi akademisi, praktik pendidikan, dan guru di Indonesia sebagai aktualisasi pendidikan Islam dan pendidikan demokrasi untuk menghadapi tantangan globalisasi di Indonesia. Based on phenomena At present, children experience an exemplary crisis. This happened because, at least the mass media raised the theme of exemplary figures for children. Television shows, for example, are dominated by entertainment programs in various variations, soap operas, or celebrity gossip shows that cannot be expected to provide examples of Islamic life as a whole. In this exemplary crisis, educators are an important base. Therefore, educators must have high awareness, to be role models in the process of forming Islamic moral character of children. The results of this study prove that: exemplary in education is an effective method / way of preparing children in terms of morals, mental and social. Psychologically exemplary as a method of Islamic education because it sees basically human beings from a young age already have a sense of wanting to imitate the movements or behavior of parents, teachers, and the environment. In this regard parents are required, the teacher has qualities that are exemplary as practiced by the Prophet. like the nature of patience, affection, morality, tawadhu ', zuhud and just.
