This study aims to analyze the effects of capital intensity, audit quality, thin capitalization, and gender diversity on tax aggressiveness in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2023. This research adopts a quantitative approach with an associative method, and the sample is selected using purposive sampling based on criteria such as SOEs listed on IDX, financial reports expressed in Indonesian Rupiah, and excluding the banking sector. The dependent variable is tax aggressiveness, measured using the Effective Tax Rate (ETR), while the independent variables are capital intensity, audit quality, thin capitalization, and gender diversity. Data analysis is performed using multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the regression model. The findings indicate that capital intensity, audit quality, thin capitalization, and gender diversity significantly affect tax aggressiveness. This research has limitations, such as the restriction to SOEs and a three-year observation period. Future research is suggested to expand the scope by using the IDX-IC classification and extending the study period, as well as considering additional variables such as firm size and ownership structure.

This article tends to analyze how Muslim women's activists, who are the members of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah and Fatayat NU in Kediri and Yogyakarta, build their digital literacy to prevent violence in social media. Mainly due to the digital divide between men and women, which causes imbalance and injustice when they access digital media. The method used in data collection was semi-ethnographic, in which the researcher participated in observing research objects when carrying out activities using digital technology, interviews, and documentation on 3 members of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah and Fatayat NU, both in Jogja and Kediri. The research findings show that what has been stigmatized to women so far is that they are powerless to master information and communication technology, which does not apply to members of Fatayat NU and Nasyiatul Aisyiyah. This research shows that women are also reliable in accessing the internet for the benefit of empowering women, especially KBGO issues. This research has provided a different understanding of the phenomenon of the massive use of internet-based technology by female activists

User experience can be a measure of acceptance of an application. The user experience measurement aims to provide input in evaluating the development, improvement and maintenance of the UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) application based on the level of user experience using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). 6 aspects of UEQ were chosen because they have advantages over the others. User trust can decrease, even lead to frustration when a user experiences a failure in the user experience. It is feared that the data entered into the SPMI application is inaccurate or seems perfunctory. This has the potential to affect the evaluation and improvement of each study program. This research was conducted to SPMI admins from each study program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The results of measuring user experience from the SPMI application of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang showed positive evaluation results with categories above the average, namely in the aspects of perspicuity (1.712), dependability (1.470), and stimulation (1.167), novelty (0.917). Meanwhile, in terms of attractiveness (1.626) and efficiency (1.864). The results are included in the good category, but efforts still need to be made to improve the quality of the novelty to be more innovative in its development.

Who speaks for Islam? To whom do Muslims turn when they look for guidance? To what extent do individual scholars and preachers exert religious authority, and how can it be assessed? The upsurge of Islamism has lent new urgency to these questions, but they have deeper roots and a much longer history, and they certainly should not be considered in the light of present concerns only. The present volume – grown out of an international symposium at the Free University, Berlin in 2002 – is not so much concerned with religious authority, but with religious authorities, men and women claiming, projecting and exerting religious authority within a given context. It addresses issues such as the relationship of knowledge, conduct and charisma, the social functions of the schools of law and theology, and the efforts on the part of governments and rulers to organize religious scholars and to implement state-centred hierarchies. The volume focuses on Middle Eastern Muslim majority societies in the period from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries, and the individual papers offer case studies elucidating important aspects of the wider phenomenon. Individually and collectively, they highlight the scope and variety of religious authorities in past and present Muslim societies.

Islamic Teaching is also an instrument of learning in the formation of moderate attitudes and behavior in religion. The content of teachings on tolerance, multiculturalism, and differences in understanding in a religious context is an important instrument in the content of Islamic Teaching. Ideally, the learning of Islamic Teaching is closely related to the internalization of this religious moderation. Mainstreaming religious moderation in Islamic Teaching can be done through several strategies, namely strengthening the paradigm of moderation, curriculum, and learning. These three strategies are related to each other in the development of policies for the application of strengthening moderation in the context of Islamic Teaching. The policy of the Directorate of Islamic Teaching at the Ministry of Religion Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in the realization of this moderation is considered important to lead to the mainstreaming of the formation of moderate attitudes and behavior supported by moderate religious understanding. In addition, religious moderation can be implemented in religious extracurricular activities.

Education in Indonesia is faced with the problem of low morals, in particular among teenagers, such as brawls between students, promiscuity, drugs, and a lack of respect for teachers. In the field of education, the cultivation of students’ character needs to receive great attention. Strengthening character education in the present context is very relevant to overcome the moral crisis that is happening in this country. This condition of moral decadence indicates that the inculcation of religious teachings and character values obtained in school has not been entirely successful because they have not shown significant results on changes in student behavior in their lives. Character education in Islam is in principle based on two main sources of Islamic teachings, namely the Qur'an and Hadith. Thus the parameter of good and bad in a person's character has a certain standard according to the Qur'an and Hadith. As the basis of Islamic education, the Qur'an and Al-Hadith are references to seek, create, and develop paradigms, concepts, principles, theories, and techniques of Islamic education, even in every educational effort. Because it is sourced from the two main teachings of Islam, Islamic education is called the foundation for character education.

ABSTRACT In Indonesia, Islamic ‘counter-terror culture’ contests Islamic ‘radicalization’. Indonesia’s largest Muslim organization, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), takes a leading role in initiating counter-terror culture. Central to their initiatives are ideas about ‘Islam Nusantara’ (Islam of the Archipelago). This article analyzes two NU initiatives: (1) the documentary Rahmat Islam Nusantara (2015), which challenges how ‘radical’ groups interpret the Quran, and (2) the ‘cyber warrior initiative’ in which volunteers contest ‘radicalism’ on social media. The article explores how these initiatives construct ‘counternarratives’ that frame Islam Nusantara as antidote against ‘radicalism’ and analyzes how, in doing so, these initiatives negotiate the binary frame between ‘moderate’ and ‘radical’ Islam. The article proposes that Rahmat Islam Nusantara and the cyber warriors uphold this binary frame and that meanwhile, these initiatives are marked by an aesthetics of authority, which constructs traditional figures of Islamic authority as role models who can help protect the country against radicalism.

Community empowerment is one of the solutions to overcome the problem of poverty in an area. Community empowerment can be carried out by utilizing local potential and developing aspects and social capital. Based on the theory of the poverty circle, several factors cause poverty, including income levels, education levels, and the amount of consumption. Ponorogo Regency is one of the top 10 food support districts in East Java, with progress in the agricultural sector capable of supporting regional food security. However, many underprivileged residents have a poverty rate 2022 of 9.32% of the total population. Based on these facts, this study aims to reveal the relationship between social capital, education level, and income level in Ponorogo Regency. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with independent variables (Xn), including the level of public education (X1) and human capital (X2), as well as the dependent variable (Y), namely the level of welfare of the people of Ponorogo Regency. The analysis results show that in Ponorogo Regency, there is a correlation between social capital and the level of education and community welfare. The level of social welfare is influenced by education and human capital. The higher the education level and human capital, the higher the social welfare and social capital formed. The development of social capital in networks at the educational level of Ponorogo Regency is very closely related, especially to participation in the religious field. Likewise, the relationship with norms on social capital in which the community has no tendency for a certain level of education related to the desire to implement applicable norms. However, participation in traditional activities has a closer relationship only at the elementary to secondary education level. The analysis results also show that the people of Ponorogo Regency with any income level have a close relationship with all elements of social capital, namely trust, social networks, and norms. Low-income people are associated with an increase in social class.
