The effect of green recruitment and selection, green training, and green intellectual capital on employee performance in Indonesia

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of green recruitment and selection, green training, and green intellectual capital on employee performance in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data collection method used in this research is to look for observation, interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling is used to be an analysis method with SmartPLS assistance. Within the SEM model, this research predominantly employs the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique, a component-based or variance-based structural equation modeling approach. PLS enables the testing of theories or theory development for predictive purposes based on experimental results. Based on the results of this study, green recruitment and selection have a significant and positive impact on employee performance. However, green training does not have any statistically significant positive effect on employee performance in the same region. On the other hand, green intellectual capital shows a significant and positive influence on employee performance. These results contribute to understanding the relationship between green human resource practices and employee performance.

Особливості реалізації процесу автоматизації діловодства на підприємствах України

Автоматизація діловодства на підприємствах України є актуальною через зростаючий обсяг документації та необхідність підвищення ефективності управлінських процесів. Використання сучасних цифрових технологій дозволяє оптимізувати роботу з документами, скоротити витрати часу та зменшити ризики помилок. Впровадження автоматизованих систем сприяє підвищенню прозорості, прискоренню ухвалення рішень та покращенню контролю за документообігом. Метою дослідження є визначення особливостей впровадження автоматизованих систем діловодства на українських підприємствах, виявлення їхніх переваг і викликів, а також розробка рекомендацій щодо ефективної реалізації цих процесів. Дослідження ґрунтується на аналізі нормативно-правових документів, огляді сучасних автоматизованих систем та вивченні практичного досвіду українських підприємств. Застосовано емпіричні методи для оцінки ефективності впровадження таких систем. Основною гіпотезою є те, що впровадження автоматизації діловодства значно підвищує ефективність документообігу, сприяє зниженню адміністративних витрат та покращенню комунікації всередині організації. Методика дослідження включає аналіз законів, аналіз практичного впровадження автоматизованих систем на підприємствах України. У результаті дослідження систематизовано методичні підходи до впровадження електронного діловодства на підприємствах, проведений детальний аналіз систем електронного документообігу, які використовуються в нашій країні. Визначено від чого в першу чергу залежить вибір системи електронного документообігу. Теоретичне значення полягає у визначенні факторів успішного впровадження автоматизованих систем документообігу та їх впливу на організаційні процеси. Практичне значення дослідження полягає у можливості застосування отриманих результатів для підвищення ефективності управління документацією на підприємствах, оптимізації витрат і зниження ризиків втрати інформації. Наукова новизна дослідження полягає у комплексному аналізі впровадження автоматизації діловодства в Україні, виявленні проблем та розробці подальших напрямків роботи для їхнього подолання. Перспективи подальших досліджень включають оцінку впливу цифровізації діловодства на різні галузі економіки, визначення оптимальних рішень для підприємств різного масштабу, а також дослідження безпекових аспектів автоматизації документообігу.

Український ринок праці в умовах глобальних зовнішньоекономічних зрушень: уроки та адаптаційні пріоритети

У статті досліджено вплив зовнішньоекономічних чинників на ринок праці України в умовах глобалізаційних змін та післявоєнного відновлення. Обґрунтовано тісний зв’язок між рівнем експорту товарів і послуг та зайнятістю населення. Проведено аналіз динаміки і структури експорту, яка впливає на структуру зайнятості населення та стримує розвиток високотехнологічної праці. Метою дослідження є обґрунтування теоретико-методологічних та прикладних засад формування сучасної парадигми розвитку ринку праці України, визначення відповідних пріоритетів в умовах новітніх глобальних зовнішньоекономічних зрушень, фундаментальних змін у техніці й технологіях, подолання наслідків російсько-української війни. Розглянуто міграційні тенденції, що посилюють дефіцит кваліфікованої робочої сили. На основі статистичних даних Державної служби статистики України, Міжнародної організації праці та Світового банку виявлено тісний кореляційний зв’язок між динамікою експорту та рівнем зайнятості населення. Показано, що експортноорієнтована модель економічного розвитку сприяла збереженню робочих місць, однак водночас законсервувала низькотехнологічну структуру праці та посилила залежність від сировинних галузей. Визначено напрями державної політики розвитку ринку праці, що мають включати, зокрема, стимулювання інноваційного експорту, модернізацію виробництва, впровадження цифрових технологій, удосконалення освіти і професійного навчання, підвищення кваліфікації працівників. Окреслено роль зовнішньоекономічної діяльності як важливого інструменту зростання зайнятості, підвищення якості робочої сили. Проведено також аналіз минулого досвіду організації та змісту зовнішньоекономічних процесів як важливого чинника функціонування ринку праці, розроблено парадигму його розвитку в умовах новітніх глобальних соціоекономічних зрушень та фундаментальних змін у техніці й технологіях. Обґрунтовано необхідність модернізації українського ринку праці на інноваційних засадах шляхом підтримки наукоємних виробництв, розвитку людського капіталу та стимулювання цифрової трансформації. Стаття має прикладне значення для формування стратегії реконструктивної відбудови економіки та соціальної сфери в умовах повоєнного відновлення України і глобальних трансформацій.

THE IMPACT OF LEARNING ORGANIZATION PRINCIPLES IN ENHANCING ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY

This study investigates the impact of learning organization principles on the performance and quality of business operations within organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The research aims to identify key principles of learning organizations that significantly influence perceived business performance and quality of organizational operations, and to evaluate the extent to which organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina can be considered learning organizations. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing a survey method to collect data from 154 employees who are representatives of Bosnian and Herzegovinian companies across various industries. The survey, distributed via Google Forms, measured six dimensions of learning organizations—systems thinking, shared vision, team learning and collaboration, leadership and employee empowerment, organizational culture, and learning environment—alongside four dimensions of business performance and quality—financial performance, internal processes, customer service, and learning, growth, and innovation. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results revealed that shared vision, leadership and empowerment, organizational culture, and learning environment significantly and positively influence business performance and quality. However, systems thinking and team collaboration did not show statistically significant effects. The findings suggest that fostering a shared vision, empowering leadership, a supportive organizational culture, and a conducive learning environment are critical for enhancing organizational performance and quality. These insights provide valuable implications for organizations aiming to adopt learning organization principles to improve their business outcomes.

Working capital management and performance of small medium scale enterprises (SMEs) in Kwara state of Nigeria

This study evaluated the impact of working capital management on the performance of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) in Kwara State of Nigeria. The study adopted the use of primary data obtained from administrating of questionnaires to owners and management staff of SMEs in Kwara state. Using descriptive statistics, a structural equation model and ordered logit regression to analyze the data, the study found that cash management practices significantly impact SMEs’ performance in Kwara state at 1% significant level. Similarly, account receivables practices significantly impact SMEs’ performance in Kwara state at 5% significant level. It also showed that inventory management practices significantly determine SMEs’ performance at 5% significant level. Lastly, account payable practices significantly determine SMEs’ performance in Kwara state at 5% significant level. Conclusively, working capital management significantly influences SMEs’ performance in Kwara state. Therefore, it is recommended that SMEs should give attentive concern to reducing the days for accounts receivable as well as inventories to a reasonable limit in order to generate sufficient profitability for SMEs’ owners.

Student Insights into Learning Experiences Study case: USAMV Bucharest

This article analyses the perceptions of students and graduates regarding the quality of learning experiences within the undergraduate programs at USAMV Bucharest. The study focuses on nine key factors integrated into the educational journey, including course content and structure, teaching quality, the university's reputation to employers, practical orientation of courses, knowledge acquisition levels, skill development, usefulness of career counseling services, available employment opportunities during studies, and the quality of university facilities. Through the analysis of responses from 582 students and graduates, the research reveals a comprehensive overview of their satisfaction levels which underlines valuable insights into the multifaceted aspects of student satisfaction and provides a foundation for further enhancements in the educational landscape of USAMV Bucharest.

Діяльність і звітування учасників ринку небанківських фінансових послуг регулятору під час дії воєнного стану

У статті досліджено, що ринок небанківських фінансових послуг – ще один важливий фронт, де Національний банк України (далі - НБУ) надійно тримає фінансову оборону. Обґрунтовано, надавачі небанківських фінансових послуг за можливості повинні подавати та оприлюднювати звітність у звичайні строки відповідно до Правил складання та подання звітності учасниками ринку небанківських фінансових послуг до НБУ. Визначено, що не зважаючи на зазначені фактори та продовження дії воєнного стану, для забезпечення стійкості і прозорості ринку, а також захисту прав споживачів регулятор актуалізує наглядові підходи. Зокрема, за результатами аналізу звітності учасників ринку небанківських фінансових послуг є ознаки порушення деякими компаніями критичних фінансових нормативів та здійснення ризикової діяльності. Доведено - сьогодні дії регулятора здебільшого спрямовані на дерегуляцію ринку, мета якої – підтримання учасників ринку і надання можливості зосередитися на професійній діяльності і попри воєнний стан в Україні, регулятору важливо отримувати оперативну інформацію про фінансовий стан та показники діяльності ринку небанківських фінансових послуг.

The effect of university organizational culture on organizational silence and faculty–student interaction

Colleges/universities outside the Seoul metropolitan area (hereafter “non-Seoul universities”) are in a crisis of existence due to a decline in the school-aged population in South Korea. Most non-Seoul universities are making efforts to implement self-rescue measures for survival. This study examines the relationships among different types of organizational culture (innovative, collective, rational, and hierarchical), organizational silence (acquiescent, prosocial, and defensive), and faculty–student interaction as perceived by non-Seoul university professors to provide useful implications for effective human resource management plans for the professors, who are responsible for entrance examinations and education at non-Seoul universities in crisis. An online survey was employed to collect data from professors at private community colleges/universities outside the Seoul metropolitan area. Responses from 421 professors were used for data analysis. Results are as follows. First, when professors perceived innovative and collective cultures, their defensive silence decreased while prosocial silence increased. Second, when rational culture was perceived, defensive silence increased while prosocial silence decreased. Third, acquiescent silence increased while prosocial silence decreased when hierarchical culture was perceived. Fourth, faculty–student interaction was enhanced when innovative and collective cultures were prevalent. Finally, prosocial silence had a positive effect on faculty–student interaction. The findings imply that if university managers change policy to encourage professors to perceive the university culture as innovative and collective, prosocial silence, which is positive from the organization’s perspective, will increase, facilitating interactions between professors and students.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THREE CONSTRUCTS OF EMPLOYEE ATTITUDES TOWARDS ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE

The Relationship between Three Constructs of Employee Attitudes towards Organizational Change. This research examines three constructs that represent employee attitudes towards organizational change; commitment to change, readiness for change, and openness to change. This research analyzed the influence of readiness for change and openness to change on employee commitment to change in public sector organization in West Sumatra. It would help the public organization to understand their employee attitudes during change. This research is a quantitative research. Respondents are 100 employees in public sector organization in West Sumatra Province. Data was collected using questionnaire. The result shows both independent variables; openness to change and readiness to change have positive and significant effect on commitment to change. Employee commitment to changes in this research is influenced by the readiness for change and openness to change. These results show that employees in public organization in West Sumatra Province felt that if they would benefit from change, then they would do what was needed to make the change successful. Investigating the impact of public and private ownership on corporate governance (Case study: Iran Telecommunication Company, Zahedan Branch)

A government centric corporate governance system can potentially influence the government’s industrial policies. The existence of shareholders is realized through the transfer of ownership and management of state-owned enterprises to the non-governmental sector. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of public and private ownership on corporate governance in Zahedan Telecommunication Company. This research is empirical in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey research. The statistical population of this study were the managers and employees of Zahedan Telecommunication Company in 2019 and 58 of them were considered for the final sample, using Cochran's formula. The data was analysed by SPSS software. The results of the hypothesis test showed that public and private ownership has a significant effect on corporate governance. On the other hand, the findings indicate that there is a significant relationship between government ownership and the reduction of bank delinquencies, there is also a meaningful relationship between private ownership and an increase in the profits of the telecommunications company.

The problem of this research is “whether service quality effect on passenger satisfaction of public transport services route 120 at PT. Rahayu Medan Ceria Medan, whether the pricing strategy of passenger satisfaction influence on public transport services route 120 at PT. Rahayu Medan Ceria Medan and whether the quality of service and pricing strategies simultaneously affect the satisfaction of the public passenger transport services on the route 120 PT. Rahayu Medan Ceria Medan. After collecting data on the samples filed, as well as data analysis, it is known that from the research that has been described in previous chapters, it can be concluded that the quality of service and pricing strategy has simultaneous effect on passenger satisfaction public transportation services route 120 at PT. Rahayu Medan Ceria Medan. In other words, the variability of passenger satisfaction which can be explained by using the variable quality of service and pricing strategy. Based on this it can be concluded that the quality of service and pricing strategy implemented in public transport services route 120 at PT. Rahayu Medan Ceria Medan has been running well and is able to give effect to passenger satisfaction. CONSULTANCY SERVICES MARKET FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES IN CROATIA

Business advisors and their impact on the performance of micro, small and medium-sized companies (MSMEs) have been in the focus of many researchers for a long time. MSMEs are reporting increasing interest in professional business advice, but only a small share of MSME owners is using consultancy services. This paper analyzes the consultancy market sector for MSMEs in Croatia, with a special focus on differences in the perspectives -gaps and overlaps of the supply (consultancy companies) and the demand side (MSME owners) of the market. The main objectives of the study are to identify and analyze determinants that influence consultancy market for MSMEs in Croatia, through opinions and views of the owners of MSMEs, on the one side, and consultants as service providers, on the other side (mirroring perspective). The empirical evidence in this paper is provided through secondary research and primary research – a survey conducted among 303 MSME owners and 60 providers of consultancy services for MSMEs. The main findings of this study enable segmentation of the users of consultancy services for MSMEs and identification of market niche for MSME consultants. Based on the research results, recommendations for better understanding of MSME owners as clients of consultancy services are created, especially those related to improving marketing and service development strategies. The results of this study and the recommendations can be used by a wide network of advisory service providers for MSMEs (e.g. accountants, lawyers, IT consultants) for improving the quality of service and identification of market niches.

THE EFFECT OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION TOWARDS RESISTANCE TO CHANGE: A CASE STUDY IN BANKING SECTOR

Resistance to change is a significant factor that has a direct effect on change efforts. If the employees are well-informed about the organizational change process, and if their opinions are asked regarding the decisions to be taken in explanation of the change process, the employees would adopt the change process and it would help breaking their resistance to change. Accordingly, it is aimed in this study to analyze the influence of organizational communication on resistance to change. Recent studies may accept that effective organizational communication is one of the primary determinants of resistance to change. In line with the purpose of the study, data have been collected through questionnaire method from 406 state and private bank employees in Marmara Region (Turkey). The data obtained have been analyzed through exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis and Mann-Whitney U difference test. Multiple regression analysis has also been made in order to explain the characteristics of the relations, which have been determined through correlation analysis. According to the results of the research, a positive, but insignificant relationship has been observed between goal setting and critical communication, which are the two sub-dimensions of resistance to change and organizational communication. It has been observed that a very insignificant part of the variability in employees’ resistance to change levels has been explained through goal-setting and critical communication. In has also been observed that private bank employees resist more to change than state bank employees.

The Manager and the Managerial Tools: Job Description

The management specialists and the management literature often mention the decisive role played by the methodological component of management (i.e. the managerial tools, the design methodologies, reengineering and support of a functional management systems) in the scientism of manager's, work. In the context of professionalization of both managers and management, treating scientifically, the management processes, becomes a major subject with impact on both quality and efficiency of management. This paper is going to approach one of the apparently common managerial tool, many times overlooked, known mostly as just an organisational document: job description. How many managers consider it important? How many managers do really know what is its content? How many managers know how to write one? How many know when a job description should be updated and how to do that? These are some of the questions we aim to answer next and at the same time pinpoint the need of turning this organisational and legal document into a real managerial tool.

Examining the role of export competitive advantages on export performance

This paper investigates the role of export competitive advantage on export performance in food industry. The proposed study designs a questionnaire in Likert scale and distributes it among 280 randomly selected experts in food industry and Cronbach alpha has been calculated as 0.827. The study has applied factor analysis to find important factors influencing export performance. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy and Bartlett's Test of Sphericity have been performed to validate the results and they both validated the questionnaire. The results of the survey have determined six effective groups including product development, e-commerce, marketing planning, organizational performance, competitiveness and supply chain management.

An investigation on the effect of advertising corporate social responsibility on building corporate reputation and brand equity

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) plays an important role on creating a good image for business owners especially in banking industry. In this paper, we present an empirical survey to measure the impact of CSR on increasing reputation as well as creating brand equity through customer satisfaction. There are five hypotheses in our survey where we examine whether positive perception on bank’s customers on CSR activities influences customer satisfaction, brand equity and firm’s reputation. In addition, we examine whether customer satisfaction, as in intermediate variable, influences the relationship between CSR and bank’s reputation as well as CSR and firm’s brand equity. The proposed study of this paper designs a questionnaire and distributes it among 384 experts who work for an Iranian bank located in city of Tehran, Iran. According to our results, there is a positive impact of CSR on customer satisfaction (β=0.84). In addition, there is a positive relationship between customer satisfaction and firm reputation (β=0.70), and between customer satisfaction and brand equity (β=0.98). However, our survey did not confirm that CSR had any positive impact on corporate reputation or brand equity.

An application of DEMATEL technique to find the effect of different factors influencing outsourcing activities in water and switch organization

Outsourcing plays an important role on reducing unnecessary activities in any organization and helps focus only on value added activities. Water resource organization in each city is responsible to supply fresh and clean water and dispose switch as efficiently as possible and all citizens normally benefit from these organizations. The proposed model of this paper uses DEMATEL to prioritize 14 different factors influencing on outsourcing activities. The survey was performed from October, 2011 to May, 2012 among employees on work for water resource organization in city of Semnan, Iran. The survey chooses a sample of 92 employees out of 120 people who worked for this organization. Cronbach alpha is calculated as 90%, which is well above the minimum acceptable level. The results of the survey indicate that expediting work process is the most important factor while reducing the cost is considered as the least important factors among 14 different items.

A robust AHP-DEA method for measuring the relative efficiency: An application of airport industry

Measuring the relative efficiency of similar units has been an important topic of research among many researchers. Data envelopment analysis has been one of the most important techniques for measuring the efficiency of different units. However, there are some limitations on using such technique and some people prefer to use other methods such as analytical hierarchy process to measure the relative efficiencies. Besides, uncertainty in the input data is another issue, which makes some misleading results. In this paper, we present an integrated robust DEA-AHP to measure the relative efficiency of similar units. The proposed model of this is believed to capable of presenting better results in terms of efficiency compared with exclusive usage of DEA or AHP. The implementation of the proposed model is demonstrated for a real-world case study of Airport industry and the results are analyzed.
