I denne artikkelen setter vi søkelyset på hvordan et utvalg kvinnelige førsteamanuenser tenker om og reorienterer sitt arbeid etter en eller flere perioder med sykmelding. Problemstillingen i artikkelen er den følgende: Hva slags forhandlinger gjør kvinnelige førsteamanuenser i relasjon til eget arbeid i og etter en periode med sykmelding? Studien er basert på intervjuer med syv førsteamanuenser ved et ungt norsk universitet, og vi benytter Lauren Berlants teori om «ond optimisme» som sensitiverende begrep for å forstå førsteamanuensenes erfaringer. Vi viser at sykmelding oppleves som en eksistensiell erfaring som tvinger informantene til å finne nye måter å balansere arbeid og helse på, og vi kaller denne prosessen en «reorientering». Etter en slik opplevelse prioriterer deltagerne i studien verdier som de selv mener er viktige i arbeidet, og søker støtte fra kollegaer gjennom å vise ekthet og sårbarhet. Reorienteringen innebærer også en økt vektlegging av undervisning og studentkontakt samt en kritisk holdning til publisering og forskningssynlighet. Dette er verdier som noen av informantene ikke opplever at vektlegges i universitetets målesystemer. En reforhandling av slike verdier blir beskrevet av informantene som tungt og som et til tider eksistensielt arbeid som også kan trues av manglende lederstøtte og moralske anfektelser. Studien bidrar til synliggjøring av reorientering som en del av relasjonen til arbeidet i det neoliberale akademia etter sykmelding. Forskningen vi presenterer her, gir også innsikt i betydningen av kjønn i akademia og bidrar til en diskusjon om hvorvidt kvinner ofte må forhandle om sitt arbeidsforhold på måter som menn ikke må i samme grad.

In Morocco, the legislation of cannabis marks a significant political shift that warrants thorough analysis. This study aims to identify the attitudes of young Moroccans towards the new cannabis regulations and their perceptions of its future consequences. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 4040 participants, including high school and university students in southern Morocco. The results revealed that females were significantly more likely to be opposed to medical cannabis use (MCU) compared to males and believed more strongly that the law would discourage users from abstaining. Additionally, females were significantly more likely to be against the recreational use of cannabis (RCU). In contrast, tobacco smokers, cannabis users, and participants with depression were more favourable towards MCU legislation. Further studies on young people’s perceptions of cannabis and its effects remain crucial for public health and prevention policy-makers.

El artículo aborda una experiencia concreta de activismo lésbico en la ciudad de Mendoza: la colectiva Ultravioletas. A partir de ese caso, se presentan reflexiones teóricas acerca de las genealogías lésbicas en el activismo en Argentina, la agenda política lesbiana en los años previos a la aprobación del matrimonio igualitario y las redes de activismo federal. El estudio de la experiencia, a partir de las teorías feministas, ha demostrado ser una fuente muy poderosa de información no sólo subjetiva, sino también social e histórica. Por lo que, en este artículo, a través de la experiencia elegida, presento un panorama cultural más amplio que podríamos denominar como una estructura de sentimiento, entendida como una matriz política y afectiva de la primera década del siglo XXI.

Reproductive autonomy necessitates that women have access to high quality family planning information and services. Additionally, closely spaced pregnancies increase maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. Although integrating family planning into child immunization services may increase access to information and services and postpartum contraceptive use, evidence on how integration affects service delivery and health outcomes is scarce. One limitation of previous studies is the use of binary integration measures. To address this limitation, this study applied Provider and Facility Integration Index scores to estimate associations between integration and contraceptive use, receipt of family planning information, and knowledge of family planning services availability. This study leveraged pooled cross-sectional health facility client exit interview data collected from 2,535 women in Nigeria. Provider and Facility Integration Index scores were calculated (0–10, 0 = low, 10 = high) for each facility (N = 94). The Provider Integration Index score measures provider skills and practices that support integrated service delivery; the Facility Integration Index score measures facility norms that support integrated service delivery. Logistic regression models identified associations between Provider and Facility Integration Index scores and (a) contraceptive use among postpartum women, (b) receipt of family planning information during immunization visits, and (c) correct identification of family planning service availability. Overall, 46% of women were using any method of contraception, 51% received family planning information during the immunization appointment, and 83% correctly identified family planning service availability at the facility. Mean Provider and Facility Integration Index scores were 6.46 (SD = 0.21) and 7.27 (SD = 0.18), respectively. Provider and Facility Integration Index scores were not significantly associated with postpartum contraceptive use. Facility Integration Index scores were negatively associated with receipt of family planning information. Provider Integration Index scores were positively associated with correct identification of family planning service availability. Our results challenge the position that integration provides a clear path to improved outcomes. The presence of facility and provider attributes that support integration may not result in the delivery of integrated care.

This article was conducted with the purpose of the archetype analysis of the "Red Ribbon" film directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia, focusing on the female character of the film. The story is about a woman named Mahboobeh, who returns to her father's home in another city after the war. She encounters two men, Davoud and Jomeh, the first of whom is in charge of destroying landmine and the second o lives in a land full of tanks left by the war, and there are incidents and clashes between them. The theoretical framework of the article is based on the viewpoint of Jean Shinoda Bolen, who achieved new ideas by combining Jung's psychological and mythological achievements. She analyzed the personality of individuals based on ancient features inspired by Greek myths such as Zeus, Demeter, Hephaestus and Athena. Bolen believes that each of these archetypes possesses characteristics such as power loving, seclusion, eloquence and order that overlap with their performance in Greek mythology. These characteristics also exist in humans in different proportions and make the individuals have their own personality, character and choices in life. This research was conducted by descriptive-analytical method as well as the library and field surveys to show that Aphrodite, Hephaestus and Hermes archetypes are dominant in Mahboobeh, Davoud and Jomeh, respectively. Both men were trapped in the past, ignoring the present and the future. In fact, the one-dimensional and extreme life of Davoud and Jomeh attracts them to Mahboobeh. Eventually, however, a new development takes place following his interest in Mahboobeh and his aphroditic energy.

Der Beitrag zeigt, dass der Habitus von KünstlerInnen impliziert, Individualität als künstlerische Selbstbekräftigung zu inszenieren, wobei Kleidung eine wichtige Rolle spielt. Eine These lautet, dass sich dies bei Künstlerinnen zunächst anders ausnimmt als bei Künstlern, weil die Tradition schöpferischer Hervorbringung männlich dominiert ist. An Beispielen wird verdeutlicht, dass von Künstlerinnenkleidern wichtige Impulse für die Mode ausgehen können. Gegenstand der Recherche und Analyse sind Selbstzeugnisse und Werke von Künstlerinnen, Fotografien, Modekollektionen und Sekundärliteratur. Aussagekräftige Einzelfälle werden beleuchtet, wobei der systematische Aspekt gegenüber dem historischen im Vordergrund steht. Es stellt sich heraus, dass die vestimentären Inszenierungen von KünstlerInnen der professionellen Selbstermächtigung dienen. Da diese Selbstermächtigung den Künstlerinnen lange Zeit verwehrt war, wurden spezielle Formen der Appropriation entwickelt. In der Gegenwart lassen sich allerdings vielfältige Nachwirkungen von KünstlerInnenkleidern auf die Mode erkennen.

How to assess quality has become one of the central concerns for contemporary research, not least because of the proliferation of research assessment systems around the globe. Concomitant with this has been the growing attention to factors that compromise the credibility of assessment, especially gender, ethnic, racial and geopolitical bias. In this paper I analyse how lab leaders and research managers in the natural sciences specifically construct excellence and relatedly the demands of the research profession, and how gender bias plays out in these imaginaries. The material for the study comes primarily from two highly successful public research institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences and specifically from individual and group interviews with lab leaders and research managers on topics of research governance, assessment, and quality. The focus is on the natural sciences because the discipline has driven the introduction of research assessment in the country as well as research and innovation reforms more broadly since the new millennium. Building on the distinction between the logic of choice and the logic of care developed by Annemarie Mol (2008), I explore the limits of individual choice for conceiving excellence and the gendered outcomes it produces.

Nos proponemos interpretar la escritura híbrida literario-filosófica de Simone de Beauvoir como parte de su estrategia feminista de (auto)constitución del estilo de sujeto-mujer esbozada en El segundo sexo, lo que demuestra su compromiso social y político. Sugerimos que mediante ese estilo de escritura que la vincula a una línea de filósofos moralistas no sistemáticos, la autora francesa reconceptualiza lo que tradicionalmente una comunidad académica, hegemónicamente masculina, comprendió por “filosofía” y por “literatura”. Abstract Our aim is to provide an interpretation based on Simone de Beauvoir´s hybrid literay-philosophical writing as part of her strategy feminist of the (self)constitution of the subject-woman style outlined in The Second Sex, which demonstrates her social and political commitment. We suggest that through this writing style that connects Beauvoir to a line of non-systematic moral philosophers, the French author reconceptualizes what traditionally an academic community, hegemonically circumscribed to males, understood by “philosophy” and by “literature.”

RESUMEN España y Portugal son países vecinos, han compartido similares trayectorias históricas y han vivido en el siglo XX bajo sendas dictaduras que concluyeron casi a la par. Ambos países también se han caracterizado por su catolicismo, siempre contrario a las Reformas acaecidas en Europa y que claramente influyó en su concepción tradicional de la mujer y de la familia. Pese a su cercanía en muchos aspectos, en lo que respecta a la situación laboral de las mujeres se observan unas diferencias importantes. El objetivo de este artículo es mostrar las diferentes trayectorias laborales y familiares de las mujeres españolas y portuguesas, tratando de explicar los condicionantes que han conducido en los últimos tiempos a esta divergencia de comportamientos, produciendo un cambio anterior y más rápido en las mujeres portuguesas en lo que respecta a su incorporación al mercado laboral remunerado. Palabras clave: Empleo, tiempo, trabajos, sistema de géneros, rol de género, estrategias. ABSTRACT Spain and Portugal are neighbouring countries which have shared similar historical traditions. In the 20th century, they have lived under dictatorships that ended almost at the same time. Both countries have also been characterised by Catholicism, a religion that has always been against the reforms taking place in Europe and that clearly influenced its traditional conception of woman and family. Despite the many common points that both countries share, important differences are noticed regarding the female labour situation. The aim of this article is to show the different labour and family traditions of Spanish and Portuguese women. To achieve this, the determining factors that have recently led to this divergence of behaviour are explained. The conclusion is that the incorporation of Portuguese women into the paid labour market took place earlier and more quickly. El presente trabajo analiza el universo de las mujeres y sus representaciones de la lectura y la escritura en un magazine paradigmático de comienzos del siglo XX en la Argentina: Fray Mocho. En el artículo se presentan, entre otros tópicos, los tipos de lectura femeninos, las propagandas discursivas, la actitud masculina ante la participación de la mujer en la civilización impresa de la época y el horizonte textual en la esfera doméstica y social. Se señala, finalmente, la gestación creciente de una variedad de usos y prácticas de las mujeres para acceder al mundo tipográfico.<br>The present work analyses women's universe and the representations of women's reading and writing in Fray Mocho, a prototypical magazine of early twentieth century in Argentina. Among other topics, types of women's readings, advertising discourse, men's attitudes towards women's participation in the print culture of the time, textual horizon in the social and domestic spheres are presented in the article. Finally, the growing appearance and development of a variety of women's uses and practices to gain access to the print world is discussed.
