The Apophatics of Alexey Vitakov’s Artistic Thinking: Meeting with the Other

The relevance of this study is due to the growing interest in the ontological issues of art and literature, which today allows us to resist the global processes of digitalization of society. The poetry of the famous bard Alexey Vitakov, namely his poem from the winter cycle "Lose me in a birch grove ...", served as material for studying this issue. The purpose of the study is to show the phenomenon of apophatic culture, manifested in Russian artistic verbal culture, in poetry, at the ontological (thanatological) level of the text. To achieve this goal, theoretical works devoted to the apophatic paradigm in world culture were analyzed, opening up opportunities for onto-hermeneutic analysis of the artistic text. In modern cultural studies, the phenomenon of apophatic artistic culture is considered through the manifestation of the thanatological code. Within the framework of the onto-hermeneutic, cultural approach to the text, figurative implementations of this phenomenon in modern poetry, namely in the work of A. Vitakov, associated with the thanatological code, were studied. Additionally, the analysis extends to the typological level of the texts of Russian classics, the poem by A. S. Pushkin “Winter Road” and the poem by A. A. Blok "Russia", in which apophatics is expressed as a cultural phenomenon. A cultural examination of the concept of apophatics in its artistic cross-section requires research attention to the figure of the Other, a figure endowed with apophatic qualities and inscribed in the "text of fate", whom the lyrical hero of the poem meets in the conditions of a winter plain. . The ontological significance of the figure of the Other for me (the lyrical Me) is determined: to what extent is the Other important for me, how ready am I to approach him. A. Vitakov presents an artistic formula for meeting the Other in a threshold situation, in which his lyrical hero is on the verge of life and death. The results of the study consist in identifying the cultural and philosophical potential of modern poetry for further study of the problem of apophatics as a phenomenon of Russian artistic culture, a manifestation of national existence in Russian literature. The analysis of poetry makes it possible not only to outline new approaches to works of art in literary criticism, but also to treat differently the issue of studying apophaticism as a phenomenon of Russian literary culture. The results of the work may be of interest to philologists who include literature in the space of the great Bakhtinian dialogue of cultures, and can also be used in teaching courses on cultural studies and philosophy.

النظرية المقاصدية ومنهجية تدبُّر القرآن الكريم عند طه جابر العلواني

تتحدد النظرية المقاصدية في نوعين: نوع أول غائي يتضمن ثلاثة مستويات، ونوع آخر خطابي يتمثَّل في الدلالات المقصودة من خطاب القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية. والحجة الرئيسة التي يسوقها هذا البحث هي أنَّ النظرية بصفة عامَّة، النظرية المقاصدية بصفة خاصة، يجب أنْ تظلَّ دائماً مَحلَّ فحص ونقد؛ لأنَّ الاعتقاد بكمال النظرية المقاصدية من زاوية بنائها المنهجي وزاوية محتواها العِلْمي، والتوقُّف عن تحقيقها عِلْمياً؛ سيُحوِّلها إلى مذهب أو عقيدة، وهو ما يتناقض مع خصيصة العِلْم التي تتمثَّل في قابليته للتصحيح والتسديد والمراجعة والتقويم والتقييم. ولتعضيد هذه الحجة، يتناول هذا البحث منهجية التدبُّر في مفهوم العلواني لتفسير القرآن بالقرآن، ويوضح أنه صياغة منهجية وتدبُّر تطبيقي قائم على عمادي المبادئ والأدوات؛ ما يعني أنَّه يُمثِّل ممارسة اجتهادية، وهو ما يتطلَّب مزيداً من البحث المستفيض عند النظر في جهود مُفسِّري القرآن الكريم قديماً وحديثاً.

El capellán: paradigma de la atención pastoral específica

Según el derecho universal de la Iglesia, el “capellán” puede atender a tres posibles grupos de fieles: a los miembros de un instituto religioso laical, a los integrantes de las asociaciones de fieles y a quienes, por su género de vida o situación actual, no pueden gozar de la atención parroquial ordinaria. Sin duda alguna, este tercer grupo es el más amplio y variado debido a múltiples factores entre los que destaca la creciente movilidad humana. Por consiguiente, la pluralidad de destinatarios de la asistencia espiritual específica del capellán obliga a que este oficio se provea de todas las facultades necesarias para su correcto ejercicio. “Revalorizar” la figura del capellán y posicionarla como modelo de la atención pastoral extraordinaria es el propósito de este artículo.

Christianity on display: a semiotic study of two museums of world religions (Glasgow, Taipei)

This article regards museums of world religions as intersemiotic sites where the knowledge of individual religions as well as religion as a broad concept is socially constructed. It examines the role of verbal interpretations in co-constructing knowledge of religion with other visual and spatial semiotics. The case study is based on a comparison of the text panels and the display cases on Christianity in two museums: St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art (SMM) in Glasgow, and Museum of World Religions (MWR) in Taipei. The methodology combines the micro-level analysis of theme-rheme pattern in information progression, logical-semantic relations in verbal-visual interaction, and a pragmatic account of the two epistemic communities in which the museums are situated. The results suggest that through the interaction between the text panels, labels, and individual objects, each museum has construed its own material definition of religion. Specifically, Christianity is construed as a phenomenon perceived by Christians in SMM, whereas in MWR, the knowledge of Christianity develops from the holy scriptures.

REPRESENTASI LIQUID RELIGION KELAS MENENGAH MUSLIM DALAM FILM ISLAMI PASCA ORDE BARU

The main focus of this article is the construction of the middle class Muslims through representation and images in the form of Islamic films. Representations and simulations are used to maintain and strengthen the position of the middle class in Muslim societies. In the era of liberal capitalism, spectacle media is the most popular medium of society. The image is the main value in the media, which disturbs the society of capitalism to smooth the agenda of capitalism and consumerism. The main question in this article is how the representation and simulation of Islam is from the middle class Muslims in Indonesian Islamic films in post-new Order era? This article reveals the position of Islamic films as a medium of preservation of the religious values of the middle class that are displayed through film framing such as economic ability, education qualifications and political choice. The identity of the middle class is a value that is not only illustrated without ideological battles and the struggle for space in films, but at the same time becomes a religious ideological medium, especially the closed middle class Muslims ideology.

Türkiye’de Kamu Hizmeti Yayıncılığı Açısından Dinî Temalı TV Programları ve Diyanet TV Program Türleri Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı televizyon yayınları üretmeye/ürettirmeye 1987 yılında başlamıştır. 1990’lı yıllarda tecimsel televizyonların ortaya çıkmasıyla birlikte Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığının örgütlenmesi, tekniği, yayın içeriği, planlama ve denetimlerinin bizatihi kendi eliyle yürütüleceği, müstakil televizyon yayıncılığı yapması talebi, bizatihi kurum tarafından gündeme getirilmiştir. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmanın konusunu, kamu hizmeti anlayışı bakımından dinî temalı programlar oluşturmaktadır. Bu çerçevede çalışmada kamu hizmeti yayıncılığını yerine getiren TRT’deki dinî temalı programların tarihçesine ve söz konusu programlarla ilgili tartışmalara yer verilecek ve kamu hizmeti yayıncılığında yeni bir dönemi başlatan Diyanet TV’nin yayın içerikleri ile program türleri ele alınacaktır. Bu bakımdan araştırmanın temel problemini, kamu hizmeti yayıncılığı açısından Diyanet TV’nin program türleri oluşturmaktadır. Buna bağlı olarak çalışmanın evreni Diyanet TV’de yayınlanan programlardır. Çalışmanın kapsamı 2019 yılının ilk 6 ayı ile sınırlandırılmış ve 1 Temmuz 2019 tarihinden sonra yayınlanan programlar kapsam dışında bırakılmıştır. Çalışma evreninden sistematik rastlantısal örneklem yoluyla seçilen 15-31 Ocak 2019, 15-31 Mart 2019 ve 15-30 Haziran 2019 tarihleri arasındaki programlar analiz edilmiştir. Bu programlar öncelikle Radyo ve Televizyon Üst Kurulu (RTÜK) tarafından hazırlanan “Yayınlarda Program Türleri Kod, Tanım ve Sınıflandırmaları Rehberi” esas alınarak incelenmiş; ardından Diyanet TV’nin hangi tanımlamalarla programları türlere ayırdığı betimsel analizle değerlendirilmiştir.

A Review of the Relationship between Knowledge (theory) and Practice in Sohrevardi's Illuminationist Philosophy, based on Pierre Hadot's model of Philosophy as a Way of Life

Pierre Hadot (1922-2010), a contemporary French philosopher, illustrated the dynamics and essence of philosophy in a philosopher's everyday life by offering the model of philosophy as a way of life, which was the result of many years of research on ancient philosophy. Using this philosophical model (philosophy as a way of life), the present paper studies the relationship between knowledge (theory) and practice in Illuminationist Philosophy. Philosophical discourse is one of the important components of this model. According to Hadot, the value of discourse (theoretical philosophy) in philosophical schools lies in the service it provides to improve the quality of life and man's function and behaviour. Sohrevardi also puts emphasis on the importance of theoretical (discussive) philosophy as the prelude and guide in choosing the Illuminationist way of life. Thus, the paper first studies the status of discourse (philosophical theories) in ancient philosophical schools to provide a clear picture of the relationship between discourse (theory) and practice in philosophical schools  using the model of philosophy as a way of life, and then addresses Hodot's view about this relationship. Finally, it studies the importance of discourse (theory - -discussive philosophy) in Sohrevardi's Illuminationist Philosophy and its application as a necessary prelude to enter into and choose an illuminationist life; to lead the Illuminationist wayfarer in the way of life; and to understand and acquire practical reason.

Türkiye düşünce hayatının en kadim konularından birisi “Doğu-Batı” meselesidir. Osmanlı modernleşmesinin başlangıcından günümüze kadar bu mesele bir şekilde akademi dünyasının gündemini meşgul etmektedir. Konuyla ilgili hiç azımsanmayacak bir literatürün ortaya çıktığını söylemek mümkündür. Bundan sonraki süreçte de farklı bağlamlarda ve zeminlerde bu konu tartışılmaya devam edecektir. Çünkü doğu-batı meselesi her şeyden önce modernleşme hikayemizin temel belirleyenlerinden birisi olarak karşımızda durmaktadır. Fakat doğu-batı dikotomisini aşmaya yönelik çabalarında var olduğunu ifade etmek gerekir. İbrahim Kalın’ın 2016 yılında yayımlanan Ben, Öteki ve Ötesi adlı eseri, böyle bir çabayı yansıtmaktadır. Uzun süredir İslam ve Batı ilişkisinin farklı boyutlarına yönelik çalışmalar yapan Kalın Ben Öteki ve Ötesi adlı eseri ile “Doğu-Batı” meselesini analiz etmek için kullanılan kavram setlerini yeniden düşünmeyi ve bu meseleye dair daha özgün bir bakış açısı getirmeyi önermektedir. Bu anlamda eser eleştirilmeye, tartışılmaya ve geliştirilmeye müsait bir şekilde Türkiye’de sosyal bilim ile uğraşanların ilgisine sunulmaktadır.

Dostoevsky and the religious experience. An analysis of The Possessed

This paper is a theological approach to the religious world of Dostoevsky. One of the most important themes for theology in the twentieth century – and indeed at all times – is the connection between anthropology and theology. In the past, this connection was formulated from the perspective of metaphysics and ethics, using knowledge as a guiding principle. In Dostoevsky, the thread that connects the anthropological with the theological is the religious dimension, which is not limited simply to man the creature’s relationship with God the Creator, but involves the totality of existence. We will present the great models of religious existence that appear in Dostoevsky's work and his vision of paganism, focusing on the analysis of The Possessed. It is a theological re-reading of Dostoevsky from the prism of the relationship between religion and revelation, using elements of the phenomenology of religion. Dostoevsky's perspective is particularly related to contemporary theology, because it emphasizes the experiential-existential dimension of religion, and highlights the impossibility of a supposedly areligious Christian existence.

Felsefede ‘kişi olmak’ deyimi kişiliğe çok önem veren bir düşünce hareketinin temel kavramı olarak belirlenir. Felsefe tarihinde ilk dönemlerden beri çeşitli biçimlerde karşımıza çıkan ‘kişi olmak’ kavramının içeriği tahlil edildiğinde insan olmaktan ayrı ve farklı bir duruma işaret edildiği görülür. İnsanı insan yapan temel özellikler bütün insanlarda ortaktır. Bu özelliklere sahip olmak bakımından insanlar arasında fark da yoktur. ‘Kişi olmak’ ise sahip olunan bu ortak ve temel özelliklerin kullanılmasına dayalı bir boyut olarak önemli ve değerlidir. Dolayısıyla ‘kişi olmak’ bir değer olarak konulmaktadır. Gerçek ve yüksek bir değer olarak ‘kişi olmak’ insan hayatı için bir önemli bir amaç olmaktadır. Öte yandan ‘kişi olmak’ sürecinde bireysel ve toplumsal değerlerin de önemli katkısı vardır. Bireysel ve toplumsal değerlerin insanın kişileşmesi sürecinde zorunlu ve önemli bir rolü bulunmaktadır. Bireyin değerleri kazanması ve onların kendini biçimlendirmesi ve kişiliğini oluşturması ile ilişkili bu süreç kişi olma sürecidir. Dolayısıyla değer ‘kişi olma’da bir değer olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Buna bağlı olarak değer kazanımı ve eğitimi konusu oldukça önemlidir.

The theme of old age is presented only occasionally by Latin authors who wrote their works in Gallia in the 5th and 6th centuries after Christ. The term „old man” is first and fore­most a man of advanced age. Nowhere, however, a limit of old age is defined. Usually one can find a reference to a man still vital, though bearing the hallmarks of loss of strength and fitness. Old age is sometimes linked up with infirmity. Nowhere, however, one talks about any special care that these old people or the old with symptoms of old age need. In a positive sense old age means a person who has experience and authority. People of the Church who enjoy respect are often described in this way. Reaching old age under­stood in this sense was seen as an expression of God`s blessing.
