Awareness and Usage of Environmental Waste Management Practices (EWMP) of Contractors on construction sites.
O. J. Oladiran, A. A. Bayewun, A. M. Aderogba
Construction wastes pose challenges to contractors and clients of construction projects globally, with significant negative consequences on the environment. This study investigates the environmental waste management practices (EWMPs) of contractors on construction sites. The objectives are to determine the level of awareness and adoption of EWMPs. The population of the study was construction professionals on sites in Lagos State, Nigeria. Random sampling technique was used to select 63 companies out of the 126 construction companies in categories C, D and E of firms registered with Lagos State Public Procurement Agency. The targeted respondents were construction professionals in the selected companies. Questionnaires were used to collect data from respondents. Descriptive statistics tools, including mean, percentage and frequency were used for analysis. The study's findings reveal that contractors are aware of about 28 out of the 47 EWMPs identified from literature. These include good site materials storage, ordering exact amount of materials and checking deliveries properly. It also reveals the strategies that are not used as belonging to material exchange/recyclers' association, polluter pays principle, usage of self-contained mini or mobile concrete crusher. It is concluded that although contractors are aware of 28 EWMPs, 26 EWMPs are used on construction sites which are 60% and 55%, respectively. It implies that awareness determines the usage of the EWMPs. The implication is that if the awareness of EWMPs is increased, the implementation among construction contractors will be improved. It is therefore recommended that professionals should increase their awareness and usage of neglected EWMPs. This can be achieved through construction firms, governments and institutions sponsoring training of professionals on EWMPs. Additionally, polluter pays principle and recyclers’ association should be enforced in project implementations. This can be achieved through government legislation and government regulatory policies for project procurements.

The role of commercial advertisements directed to children influencing on parents’ purchasing decision
Sima Ghaleb Magatef , Raed Ahmad Momani
A study was conducted on the role of commercial advertisement directed to children for influencing parents’ purchasing decision. The study targeted parents, taking into account all demographic factors. The main objec-tive of the study was to determine the extent of commercial ads influencing on parents' decision either directly without children’s effect or with children effect. To achieve this, a random sample was selected from parents of children aged 2-14 years. 530 copies of the questionnaire were distributed, and 474 valid ones were retrieved, which represented for 89.43% of the sample size. After the collection of the questionnaires, the data were recorded and analyzed. The results show that there was an effect of independent variables (advertising campaigns) on the intermediary variable (children), as well as the effect on the dependent variable (parents’ purchasing decision). The results also show that the entry of the intermediary variable (children) on the model had a direct and indirect effect, but its effect was relative rather than total. So, there is an effect of the independent variables (commercial ads) on the dependent variable (parents’ purchasing decision) with or without the existence of intermediary. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended that organizations should design advertisements that target parents directly to convince them to make purchasing decision without their children mediation, and design other advertisements to target children because they can have influence over parents and can convince them to make purchasing decision. In addition, it is necessary for organizations to focus on the content of advertising messages, and to repeat them periodically, taking into account the renewal of content from time to time. They should also select effective ways to post their advertisements, especially on social media platforms in different times.

Does trust in leader mediate the servant leadership style – job satisfaction relationship?
Pouya Zargar, Arman Sousan, Panteha Farmanesh
The huge growth in economies of Dubai during the past few decades requires a high level of leadership and management. Leaders who act as a mere management representative and are not able to perform in various styles cannot be effective. For a leader to show ineffectiveness means distrust, which lowers the satisfaction of a population in different aspects. Hence leadership and trust are topics that require further examination. This study tries to determine the interaction among servant leadership (SL) and job satisfaction (JS) while utilizing the trust degree in leader (TIL) as a mediator factor between leadership approach and level of satisfaction in job. The research was conducted on 260 employees in four different hotels in Dubai (Jood Plaza, Sadaf Delmon, Ibis International and Address hotel). Correlation analyses have shown a positive and significant relationship between (SI), (JS) and trust. There is a large gap in the literature when it comes to the direct relationship of (SL) and (JS) in general, and this research hopes to fill the gap and enhance the achievement process for managerial level.

Relationship Marketing By Energy Companies
Felicetta IOVINO
New two hour schedule tariffs were introduced on 1st July 2010 by AEEG. They distinguish use of electric energy between night and daylight hours and Sundays and public holidays, creating three different price bands (F1, F2, F3), thus eliminating one hour schedule tariff for the vulnerable customers. This study is proposed to understand the basic research problem “How much Italian energy companies have implemented relationship marketing and what are the characteristics of their marketing policies”. We suggest this approach increases competition which is the aim of liberalization processes. In fact, according to the principle of the “conservation of relationship energy”, an Uppsala model, relationship energy cannot be destroyed and it can only be transformed and transferred to other relationships, manifesting itself in a variety of ways. So if relationship marketing is better implemented switching increases but trade relationships can be reactivated at a later time by social links which continue during the time. To answer that question we compare the data of three recent researches that analyze switching energy supplier in Italy, the UK and State of Victoria in Australia.

Enterprise architecture evaluation using architecture framework and UML stereotypes
Narges Shahi, Ali Haroun Abadi, Hadi abooei mehrizi
There is an increasing need for enterprise architecture in numerous organizations with complicated systems with various processes. Support for information technology, organizational units whose elements maintain complex relationships increases. Enterprise architecture is so effective that its non-use in organizations is regarded as their institutional inability in efficient information technology management. The enterprise architecture process generally consists of three phases including strategic programing of information technology, enterprise architecture programing and enterprise architecture implementation. Each phase must be implemented sequentially and one single flaw in each phase may result in a flaw in the whole architecture and, consequently, in extra costs and time. If a model is mapped for the issue and then it is evaluated before enterprise architecture implementation in the second phase, the possible flaws in implementation process are prevented. In this study, the processes of enterprise architecture are illustrated through UML diagrams, and the architecture is evaluated in programming phase through transforming the UML diagrams to Petri nets. The results indicate that the high costs of the implementation phase will be reduced.

A comparative study of student-teacher cognitive abilities and skills on evaluation of academic achievement practices
Shirindokht habibzadeh, Sofia heidari kamroudi, Asieh Ramezany
et al.
During the past few years, there have been some changes on traditional training methodologies in the world, specially, in elementary schools. Many schools have decided to perform their assessments in elementary schools based on qualitative methods compared with traditional quantitative techniques. This paper performs an empirical investigation to find out whether the new evaluation technique has been able to improve student teacher’s cognitive abilities and skills on evaluation of academic achievement practices. These student-teacher people taught at elementary schools while they also were studying at university. There are two types of questionnaires: The first one measures cognitive capabilities in four categories including levels of learning and educational objectives, designing paper and pencil test, functional test design and analysis and interpretation of results. The second test is associated with measuring functional skills in the evaluation of academic progress. The information were analyzed based on t-student test as well as two-way analysis of variance. The result of t-statistics was significant only for the last item, analysis and interpretation. In addition, the results of ANOVA test have indicated that there were some differences on cognitive capabilities between two methods of assessments but gender did not make any meaningful difference on functional skills.

Ali Akbar Aminbeidokhti, Seyyed Abdollah Heydariyeh, Jalil Abedini
Structure analysis plays an important role on increasing the efficiency of banking industry. A change in structure of business in this industry could change the profitability, significantly. The proposed study of this paper aims at structural analysis and comparative advantages for a governmental bank in a province of Semnan, Iran called Melli bank. The proposed study considers the effectiveness of four saving plans including current, loaned with no interest, short and long term based in three periods. It applies the change of location-share model, which includes provincial growth influence, structural growth and competitive growth as the determinant variables in saving rate. Findings indicate the disproportionate growth of saving rate in the Melli bank toward the other banks of the province in every 3 terms of the study. The research results show that short time saving in 2001 and 2004, loaned without interest and short term savings in 2001 and 2008, loaned without interest and long term savings in 2004 and 2008 had negative structural changes which indicate that the combination of discussed saving wasn’t desirable, but other savings benefits of desirable combination.
