Rationale of the study - The study evaluated the awareness of the legal framework in records management to enhance records management practices in Local Government Authorities in Tanzania. Specifically, it aimed to assess how aware records management staff and action officers are of the legal framework, identify key factors influencing their awareness, and explore the strategies Local Government Authorities use to promote awareness of their legal obligations in records management. Methodology - A survey or census sampling approach was employed to select 240 respondents from a population of 168 Action Officers (AOs), 60 records management staff (RMS), and 12 key informants. Findings - The study revealed that 60.0% of records management staff were familiar with the legal framework governing records management. It also showed that only 24.35% of the action officers were aware of it. Generally, all respondents reported a positive link between awareness of the legal framework and records management practices. Implications - This study's results confirm the validity of the conceptual framework and theory used. The results address established research objectives and constructs derived from and modified within the existing framework and theory. The focus on creating, raising, and enhancing awareness acts as a call to action for public organisations and policymakers to establish the awareness pillars and guidelines needed for effective records management, leading to better service delivery. Furthermore, the study adds to existing theories of records management and the records management cadre in both public and non-public organisations, highlighting the importance of awareness creation for successful operations in LGAs. Originality - In addition to employing a mixed-methods research approach, this study will enhance awareness of the legal framework for records management in LGAs in Tanzania, thereby improving records management practices in local government authorities, where such studies have been scarce.
Purpose This study aims to investigate the compliance of Kuwait’s College of Basic Education (CBE) with records management standards (RMS), legislation and regulations. Design/methodology/approach This case study collects data from semi-structured interviews and a thorough internet search of relevant records management (RM) policies and procedures. Findings The findings reveal the shortcomings of the bottom-up approach to RM, which poses significant risks due to inadequate management and monitoring; lack of compliance with local or national records and archives regulations; and a general unawareness of RMS and best practices among interviewees. Research limitations/implications This study focuses on CBE, potentially limiting generalizability to other academic institutions in Kuwait, but offers valuable insights for polities that similarly lack records legislation and wish to improve their RM practices and comply with international standards. Practical implications This study proposes a more top-down approach to RM with the adoption of international RMS to improve practices, minimize risks and reduce legal liabilities. Positive outcomes will support the case for records and archives legislation (RAL) in Kuwait and provide the framework for its establishment. Social implications The study argues that the passage of RAL and the subsequent implementation of RMS will improve citizens’ Right to Access Information. Originality/value This study initiates a pioneering effort in understanding Public Authority for Applied Education and Training and CBE’s level of compliance with RMS, legislation and regulations and their challenges.

This study empirically examined the effect of Green Human Resource Management (HRM) on corporate sustainability in the Nigerian insurance industry. The study employed a survey technique through the administration of a structured questionnaire on employees of insurance companies in Nigeria. The population of this study comprised 20,000 employees and agents of insurance firms in Nigeria, which constituted the element of observation of this study. The sample size of the study was determined using Taro Yamane sample size determination formula, at 95% confidence level and 5% confidence interval, which gave a sample size of 377. A non-response rate of 40% was assumed, which increased the sample size to 527 (377+150). The findings reveal that Green HRM has a positive and significant effect on corporate sustainability, with coefficients and probability values of β1 =0.656, P-value < 0.05. This implies that Green HRM has a significant affect on corporate sustainability, The F-stat (52.673), P-value < 0.05 shows the fitness and overall significance of the regression model. The coefficient of determination (R2) suggested that 33.1% variation in corporate sustainability is accounted for by Green HRM. However, the model did not explain 66.9% of the variation in corporate sustainability, implying that there are other elements or factors associated with corporate sustainability, which were not captured in the current model. The study concludes that Green HRM is an important driver of corporate sustainability in the Nigerian insurance industry. Therefore, it is recommended that Nigerian insurance companies should utilize Green HRM towards enhancing their corporate sustainability

The purpose of the current research is to investigate the effect of the Covid-19 (Corona) epidemic on production inflation (as a pressure on business). For this purpose, the data of the years 1360-1400 and autoregression models with distribution breaks (ARDL) and error correction (ECM) have been used. Based on the obtained results, Corona and economic sanctions have led to an increase in production inflation (as an obstacle for business) in the investigated period. Also, for each unit increase in liquidity and real exchange rate, production inflation (as an obstacle to business) will increase by 1.9 and 0.7 units, respectively. According to the findings of the research, the anti-inflationary effect related to the educational expenses of businesses has been effective in reducing the pressure on businesses simultaneously and intermittently. In addition, for every one unit increase in per capita income, the pressure on businesses decreased by 0.8 units. According to the findings, the speed of reaching the balance will be 51%, which shows that 51% of the short-term imbalance error is adjusted convergently in each period.

It is critical to identify the impact factors of physical restraints on critically ill patients. The present study investigated the prevalence of physical restraints and impact factors associated with their use in a large cohort of critically ill patients over one year.Patients and Methods: A retrospective cohort study was performed in multiple ICUs at a tertiary hospital in China in 2019 using observational data from electronic medical records. The data consisted of demographics and clinical variables. Logistic regression was used to assess the independent impact factors for the use of physical restraint. Results: The analysis consisted of 3776 critically ill patients with a prevalence of physical restraint use of 48.8%. The logistic regression analysis indicated that physical restraint use was associated with independent risk factors, including surgical ICU admission, pain, tracheal tube placement, and abdominal drainage tube placement. Physical restraint use was associated with independent protective factors, including male sex, light sedation, muscle strength, and ICU length of stay. Conclusion: The prevalence of physical restraint use in critically ill patients was high. Tracheal tubes, surgical ICU, pain, abdominal drainage tubes, light sedation, and muscle strength were independent variables associated with the use of physical restraint. These results will assist health professionals in identifying high-risk physical restraint patients based on their impact factors. Early removal of the tracheal tube and abdominal drainage tube, pain relief, light sedation, and improvements in muscle strength may help reduce the use of physical restraints. Keywords: critical care, restraints, physical, epidemiology, nursing
The author identified the main problems and challenges of regional development that occurred in Ukraine due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. The theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of the institutional support for the modernization of the productive forces of the region and the main aspects of the post-war reconstruction of the regional space are indicated. Today, the Ukrainian economy is experiencing an unprecedented shock in history. The massive military invasion of the northern neighbors dealt a heavy blow to all links of the economic system of our country. The production of the main types of products has decreased, in particular those that constitute the export potential of Ukraine. In addition, the ports are blockaded, making them the largest share of foreign trade. The transport and logistics, social, marketing and engineering infrastructure of the entire region is collapsing. Labor outflow and partial displacement temporarily displace hundreds of thousands or even millions of people from active economic life. The development of Ukraine depends on various factors, but the key ones are the sovereignty of the territory, the size and structure of the population, the presence and power of the national economy, and the infrastructure connecting the countries. Based on an objective analysis of the situation, determination of internal strengths and limitations, taking into account possible external risks/threats, the competent authorities of the country formulate and implement policies. Therefore, the development of a new regional development policy requires a comprehensive analysis and assessment of the current situation related to the war and the situation in Ukraine as a whole, regions and territorial communities. Military victory is very difficult, and sustained post-war growth is virtually impossible without a stable economy. Thus, today the domestic economy is increasingly becoming one of the priority fronts that determine the further course of military operations and their ability to successfully rebuild after the end. Ukraine's post-war economic boom is possible only if the country's economic policy measures are implemented in accordance with a clear and consistent strategy aimed at deregulation of the economy and creation of a favorable investment environment.

Every company strives to achieve competitive advantage, which is why managers constantly seek new ways of reaching that goal. One of the best ways to gain competitive advantage is through innovation. In theory, innovation can be classified in numerous ways. Some of them include management innovation, which can simply be defined as the process of innovating what managers do. Despite the power of management innovation to propel a company to the level of excellence no other company can compete with, this research has showed that managers in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) are not fully aware of its importance.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of climate change on South Africa’s Mpumalanga Provincial Archives (MPA) and related records management activities. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative research approach/method was used to collect data from the source, including purposive sampling and expert knowledge solicited through semi-structured interviews. A review was undertaken to source climate data and related archival sector literature. Findings Recent extreme weather events in Mpumalanga seem to bear out climate change projections. The current absence of relevant strategies and plans implies that the MPA and provincial departments are not yet prepared for emergencies. The lack of a plan, an implementation strategy and related training may increase the impact of disasters on the provincial archives’ environment. Without disaster plans and robust preparedness, the question of how the MPA is going to preserve archives for future generations is raised. In addition, due to a lack of guidance for registry staff, appraisal is not allowing for identification and processing of archival materials, so combined with a lack of disaster management strategies and plans contributes to the loss of archives. Research limitations/implications This research is limited to the MPA; however, the findings may be extended to other South Africa provincial archives and parts of the world experiencing similar issues. There is a need to conduct similar research on a larger scale so as to explore the impact of climate change in other provincial archives to provide a wider context of the problem within South Africa. Practical implications When archivists accept holdings into their repositories, they take the responsibility for their archival custody. But, these efforts may come to nothing if the archives are lost. Disaster management is the key to the protection of the archives. Originality/value This paper contributes to the literature on the impact of climate change on archives. The results achieved should be seen as a first step towards identification of the issue.

Customer behavior of environmentally friendly products becomes marketing attention by implementing a green marketing strategy to improve customer’ green trust. The study concentrates on the correlation of eco-label attribute, perceived innovation, perceived quality, and green trust of a customer. The study was conducted in 2020 with a survey of supermarket’s customers who were familiar with green products. There were 200 customers who were selected randomly; data from a customer was taken by questionnaire. Then, data from the questionnaire was processed by using SEM approach through SmartPLS. The research finding determined that the implementation of an eco-label attribute may influence on customer’ green trust directly through customer perceived quality. Furthermore, it was determined that customer perceived quality could play the mediation role between eco-label attributes and green trust. Besides, it has known that the value of innovation of green products could not be affected by eco-label attributes and it could not affect customer’s green trust. The study provides a recommendation from the model of green customer behavior with mediation focuses on customer perceived quality. The finding can provide important information for marketers and producers who use the environmental issue, and it is implemented to green marketing strategy.
The arrival of the IoT era has been revolutionizing various fields of our current world. Precision agriculture is recognized as one sustainable, eco-friendly, and profitable mode to improve agriculture yields and quality, and will ultimately come true with the further implementation of IoT techniques in agriculture. To facilitate the implementation, we make a visualization review of the agriculture IoT literature in the last decade, using records of 3168 documents and their 100,205 references in Web of Science. The dynamics of research fronts and intellectual bases bring out emerging trends in both applied IoT techniques and topics of concern in agriculture. Based on the quantity of contributions in the cooperation networks, outstanding countries, institutions, and authors are detected. Moreover, influential studies and scholars are recognized from the citation networks, indicating hot research and trends in the agriculture IoT literature from 2009 to 2018. Through the review, we also propose future recommendations including construction of agriculture IoT infrastructures, data security and data sharing, sustainable energy solutions, economic analysis and operation management in agriculture IoT, and IoT-based agriculture financing and e-business modes. These results are helpful for scholars and practitioners to make further efforts on achieving IoT-based precision agriculture.
PurposeThis study investigates the characteristics of business and management consulting firms (firm size, international affiliation and scope of operation) affecting the adoption rate (i.e. recency of adopting big data analytics (BDA) as a new idea) and usage level of BDA. Ten critical areas of BDA application to business and management consulting were investigated, (1) Human Resource Management; (2) Risk Management; (3) Financial Advisory Services; (4) Innovation and Strategy; (5) Brand Building and Product Positioning; (6) Market Research/Diagnostic Studies; (7) Scenario-Based Planning/Business Simulation; (8) Information Technology; (9) Internal Control/Internal Audit; and (10) Taxation and Tax Management.Design/methodology/approachSurvey data was obtained through a structured questionnaire from one hundred and eighteen (118) consultants in Nigeria from diverse consulting firm settings in terms of size, international affiliation and scope of operation (Big 4/non-Big 4 firms). Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, cluster analysis, multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), multivariate discriminant analysis and multivariable logistic regression.FindingsWhereas organizational characteristics such as firm size, international affiliation and scope of operation significantly determine the adoption rate of BDA, two attributes (international affiliation and scope of operation) significantly explain BDA usage level. Internationally affiliated consulting firms are more likely to record higher usage level of BDA than local firms. Also, the usage level of BDA by the Big 4 accounting/consulting firms is expected to be higher in comparison to non-Big 4 firms.Practical implicationsContrary to common knowledge that firm size is positively associated with the adoption of an innovation, the study found no evidence to support this claim in respect of the diffusion of BDA. Overall, it appears that the scope of operation is the strongest organizational factor affecting the diffusion of BDA among consulting firms.Originality/valueThe study contributes to knowledge by exposing the factors promoting the uptake of BDA in a developing country. The originality of the current study stems from the consideration that it is the first, to the researchers' knowledge, to investigate the application of BDA by consulting firms in the Nigerian context. The study adds to literature on management accounting in the digital economy.

Entrepreneurship is currently a popular topic for research due to the influence it brings to bear on multiple areas of life. Consequently, it is necessary to recognize the behaviors that boost the chances of entrepreneurs and their startups achieving success. This research primarily seeks to investigate the extent to which networking behaviors can influence the success of en-trepreneurial startups in Jordan. For this purpose, the authors propose and study six network-ing behaviors as independent variables, namely cultivating internal contacts, cultivating ex-ternal contacts, socialization, getting involved in professional activities, taking part in community activities, and raising one’s profile within the company. The dependent variable is the success of entrepreneurial startups. A quantitative analysis was conducted by distributing a questionnaire to startup companies in Amman, Jordan. The results confirm that the better entrepreneurs are at practicing these networking behaviors, the more influence they have on the success of their startups. Those behaviors that carry most influence are cultivating internal contacts, cultivating external contacts, and getting involved in professional activities. Finally, the research recommends further study should be carried out to make known the full impact of these six networking behaviors, in addition to encouraging more wholesale adoption of entrepreneurial networking behaviors to increase the probability of success for entrepreneurial startups.

The research aims to empirically verify the role of adaptive capability in its contribution to marketing performance, with product innovation as a mediating variable. This research was conducted in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) located in Central Java, Indonesia. A number of 253 questionnaires were distributed and adequately filled. Statistical analysis was conducted by using structural equation modeling with Smart-Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results show that the adaptive capability was positively related to product innovation, but not significant to marketing performance. Furthermore, our findings show that product innovation had a significant effect on marketing performance and it fully mediated the relationship between adaptive capability and marketing performance. These findings offer implications regarding how adaptive capability enhance marketing performance through product innovation in SMEs.
