Background and Purpose
This study explores the combined impact of traditional training and post-training mindfulness on shooting accuracy and anxiety among football players. While the benefits of traditional training are well-documented, the role of mindfulness in athletic performance remains short in studies. This study aims to address this gap by examining whether mindfulness can improve shooting consistency by reduce anxiety under pressure.
Materials and Methods
A total of 60 male football players (ages 18-23, mean age: 20.55 ± 1.69 years; Height 174.1 ± 7.14; Wight 69.98 ± 6.30) were enlisted and randomly assigned to one of three groups: Experimental Group I, which received traditional football training followed by a mindfulness session; Experimental Group II, which underwent traditional training alone; and a Control Group, which did not receive any intervention. Both experimental groups underwent a structured 16-week training program focused on developing technical, tactical awareness, and fitness. In addition, Experimental Group I engaged in a 20 minute mindfulness session at the end of each training day. Shooting accuracy was assessed using the Mor Christian Shooting Test, while anxiety levels were measured using the Sports Anxiety Scale-2. To find out the effect of intervention paired sample t test was applied and Analyses of Covariance was used to find out the significant difference between the groups. In all case the level of significance was fixed at 0.05.
Results
The Traditional Training with Meditation group showed significant improvements in shooting performance, with an 8.47% increase (p = 0.000*) and 4.07% reduction in anxiety (p = 0.003*). The Traditional Training group also improved, increasing by 3.97% (p = 0.001*) in shooting performance, but had negligible changes in anxiety 0.31%, (p = 0.803). The Control Group showed minimal changes in both measures.
Conclusion
The findings suggest that combining mindfulness with traditional football training is an effective strategy for improving shooting accuracy and mental well-being among football players. The reduction in anxiety observed in the group I highlights the role of mindfulness practices in enhancing mental resilience, focus, and consistency during high-pressure situations.

Background and Purpose
Fibromyalgia is characterized by idiopathic long-lasting pain that negatively impacts patients’ quality of life. Although many therapeutic interventions are available; treatment is still challenging due to the condition’s complexity. Therefore, comparative researches are required to decide which treatment is better to produce the best clinical decision for fibromyalgia. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of ‘muscle energy technique and myofascial release’ on fibromyalgia patients.
Materials and Methods
In this randomized controlled trial, seventy-four women aged 30 to 45, with a body mass index ranging from 25 - 34.9 kg/m², were participated. They were assigned to either the ‘muscle energy technique or myofascial release’ group. Each treatment was conducted over four weeks, with three weekly sessions lasting 25 minutes each. Meanwhile, the ‘myofascial release’ group received treatment for 20 minutes, three times per week for the same duration. Outcome measures included ‘pain levels assessed via a visual analog scale, range of motion evaluated with a universal goniometer, and quality of life determined through the fibromyalgia impact questionnaire’.
Results
‘Muscle energy technique and myofascial release’ showed a significant decrease (p<0.001) in cervical pain, low back pain, and fibromyalgia impact questionnaire score, and a significant increase (p<0.001) in cervical and trunk range of motion after treatment. The myofascial release group showed more significant decrease in cervical pain (p=0.002), low back pain (p=0.003), fibromyalgia impact questionnaire score (p=0.001), cervical left bending (p=0.007), and trunk extension (p=0.003), right bending (p=0.014), left bending (p=0.007), right rotation (p=0.009), and left rotation (p=0.007) than muscle energy technique group.
Conclusion
‘Muscle energy technique and myofascial release’ is beneficial methods for fibromyalgia patients. However, myofascial release was more effective than muscle energy technique in improving pain, quality of life, and trunk range of motion.

This research is a qualitative study based on the focus group technique and examines the opinion of business
students, as a niche of Generation Z, in relation to organizational culture and its role in choosing and keeping a
job. For this purpose, 3 focus groups were conducted with students from the Faculty of Business and Tourism of
the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. The first focus group had only 3 participants and served more to
test the discussion guide. The next two focus groups had 10 and 12 participants respectively, boys and girls, with
the difference that the second group consisted of undergraduate students and the third of students in a master's
program. A surprising finding was that none of the 25 student participants in the 3 focus groups were familiar
with the concept of organizational culture. However, after some brief explanations, they understood what the
concept referred to and were able to participate in in-depth discussions. The key findings made it clear that Gen
Z students are looking for companies with a positive culture and a workplace that allows them to have a good
work- life balance. These aspects become even more important than a higher salary if it is to be achieved in a
company with a toxic culture.

Prior research on organizational misconduct within intercollegiate athletics focuses on the penalties administered by the NCAA and types of violations committed by member institutions, rather than the engagement of misconduct and the role of the NCAA as a social-control agent. Consequently, the purpose of this manuscript is to analyze the relationship between social control agents (i.e., the NCAA) and potential wrongdoers (i.e., member institutions), in addition to how the relationship affects the evolving line separating right from wrong. This quantitative study consists of a two-stage probit regression model which found evidence that the type of violations committed in major violation cases are significant in determining the likelihood of sanctions. This study will contribute to intercollegiate athletic administration by providing an opportunity to better comprehend NCAA enforcement procedures, along with utilizing the findings to discover how the NCAA functions as a social-control agent.

As NCAA President, Myles Brand championed three major college sports initiatives: academic integrity, diversity, and sustainability. This paper is about the last. The first step is to distill the elements of college sports that Brand identified repeatedly in his documents and speeches on sustainability. The central elements are the NCAA definition of “amateurism”, athletic department finances, and balance between athletic and academic spending as a part of the university mission. An assessment of these three suggests that NCAA amateurism has changed since his death, in ways Brand stated should raise worries about sustainability. Finances and balance within the university have changed very little over the past ten years and appear sustainable into the future.

Aim: to identify the influence of body length on the indicators of vegetative-vascular regulation of student-athletes.
Material and methods. The study involved 42 second-year students who play sports at the amateur level (qualification level - 2-3 sports degree). The following research methods were used in the work: method of analysis of literary sources; method of determining body length; orthostatic test method; method of determining stroke volume and minute blood volume.
Results. It was found that the increase in systolic blood pressure during the transition from horizontal to vertical position in students whose body length is above 190, significantly higher than in students whose body length does not exceed 175 cm (p <0.01) diastolic blood pressure, then in students whose body length is above 190 cm, this figure is significantly higher (p <0.01) both horizontally and vertically. The stroke volume of tall (more than 190 cm body length) students in the standing position is significantly less than that of students with a body length of 150-175 cm. There is a significant effect of body length on systolic blood pressure in the standing position, diastolic blood pressure in the supine and standing positions, heart rate in the supine and standing positions, stroke volume in the standing position, minute blood volume in the supine position and standing (p <0,001). The effect of body length on the orthostatic test was also significant for the following data: systolic blood pressure in the vertical position, diastolic blood pressure in the vertical position; change in diastolic blood pressure when changing body position from horizontal to vertical; heart rate in vertical and horizontal positions; change in heart rate during the transition from horizontal to vertical position; stroke volume of blood in the vertical position; change in stroke volume of blood during the transition from horizontal to vertical position; all indicators of minute blood volume.
Conclusions. The state of the cardiovascular system of student-athletes is characterized by high fitness. It was found that students with a body length of more than 190 cm have difficulty with vegetative-vascular regulation.

Without question, entrepreneurship is present in all spheres of
our lives, especially in economic and social areas. This field is
significant in the development of societies and is also considered
a useful tool in promoting innovation and job creation in many
countries. For this reason, it needs to be promoted as a central
component of economic growth. As a result, the creation of new
businesses or projects and the promotion of self-employment
have been stimulated by public and private organisations. The
goal of this research is to determine what triggers individuals to
be actively involved in entrepreneurial activity in the initial
phases, based on a survey by Global Entrepreneurship Monitor
conducted in Portugal, in 2012. The results of this analysis
revealed that early-stage entrepreneurial activity is associated
with younger (25–34 years old) males, who have a medium to
higher level of household income, as well as diplomas. They are
self-employed, and they have loose ties to other entrepreneurs.
They perceive themselves as possessing entrepreneurial skills
and have a low level of perceived risk and a positive personal
attitude towards individual innovation.

destina a compra.

Oporto Airport (OPO) is a success story among European regional
airports. This success is expressed, among other ways, in the rapid
expansion of routes and the strong growth in demand, as well as in the
recognition of the airport’s quality by its users. Over the past decade,
the volume of traffic increased by almost 3.4 million passengers, from
the 2.6 million recorded in 2002 to over 6 million in 2012. In this paper,
we analyse some of the factors that influenced the success of Oporto
Airport, namely the expansion of capacity and improvements to
infrastructure, the increase in the number of routes and the increased
demand in response to the new capacities of this airport-airlines set.
Particular emphasis is given to the role of low cost carriers (LCC) in the
growth of Oporto Airport and to strategies of attracting more traffic.
Some of the main opportunities and challenges that this airport will face
in the coming years are also discussed.
