Genome-Wide Identification and Expression Analysis of the PEPC Gene Family in <i>Zanthoxylum armatum</i> Reveals Potential Roles in Environmental Adaptation

Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC) is a crucial enzyme in plant photosynthesis and stress responses, yet its gene family remained uncharacterized in <i>Zanthoxylum armatum</i>. This study presents the first genome-wide identification and comprehensive analysis of the PEPC gene family in <i>Z. armatum</i>. A total of 12 <i>ZaPEPC</i> genes were identified and classified into plant-type (PTPC) and bacterial-type (BTPC) subfamilies based on phylogenetic analysis. These genes exhibited conserved protein domains but distinct gene structures, with evidence of gene duplication events contributing to family expansion. Promoter analysis revealed an abundance of stress- and hormone-responsive <i>cis</i>-elements, particularly those related to light, abscisic acid (ABA), and methyl jasmonate (MeJA). Expression profiling demonstrated that <i>ZaPEPC</i> genes display environment-specific expression patterns, with <i>ZaPEPC7</i> and <i>ZaPEPC11</i> showing significantly higher expression in high-altitude, high-light environments (Yunnan) compared to other regions (Shandong and Chongqing). Co-expression network analysis further indicated interactions between specific <i>ZaPEPCs</i> and stress-related transcription factors. These findings systematically reveal the molecular characteristics and potential roles of the <i>ZaPEPC</i> gene family in environmental adaptation, providing valuable genetic resources and a theoretical foundation for improving stress tolerance and photosynthetic efficiency in <i>Z. armatum</i> through molecular breeding.

Eléments caractéristiques de la phonologie structurale du mboxo, bantu C21 (République du Congo)

This study analyzes, according to the structural model, the functioning of the fundamental elements (phonemes, tonems and syllable) of the phonology of Mboxó, a language of the Bantu family of the area, spoken by the Mboxó, a population who inhabit Mbomo, in the north-west of the Republic of Congo. In addition, this study analyzes the functioning of the syllable by identifying its different structures and the number of syllables per item in this language. Finally, this study addresses aspects related to syntagmatic phonology such as assimilation and vowel elision.

HUMANOS VIRTUAIS INFLUENCIADORES: GÊNESE, CARACTERÍSTICAS E CONTRAPONTOS AOS INFLUENCIADORES DIGITAIS HUMANOS

Considerando os humanos virtuais como fenômeno comunicacional espaço-temporalmente localizado, com forte potencial de aplicação publicitária, este artigo tem como objetivo destacar as principais características dos influenciadores virtuais, gerados por computador, revestidos de narrativa e discurso e performers de interações nas redes sociais digitais. Também se apresentam as principais distinções entre esses influenciadores virtuais e os influenciadores humanos orgânicos, sendo apresentada uma proposta de percurso de consolidação dessa ferramenta, tendo em vista sua origem com as tradicionais mascotes de marca. Entende-se que essa evolução é resultado de uma trama sociotécnica, na qual se interligam tanto o avanço tecnológico das ferramentas de animação quanto o aperfeiçoamento de estratégias discursivas que possibilitam uma interação parassocial nos ciberterritórios das redes sociais.

1900—Pyrrhic Victory: The Press Campaigns Surrounding the Faculty Paintings

In 1894, Gustav Klimt was commissioned to create a series of allegorical paintings for the University of Vienna. When the paintings were revealed in 1900, professors and the general public voiced strong resistance to their permanent installation. Art historical literature on the Vienna Secession and the Faculty Painting affair has tended to take the position of advocating for modern art, casting the entire debate as a fight for artistic freedom wherein Klimt was a victim of conservative philistines. Other literature on the Faculty Paintings focusses on the erotic message of the pictures; the works are viewed as documents of a sexual identity crisis that burst to the surface in fin de siècle Vienna. This article is a newly translated English version of a chapter titled “1900—Pyrrhic Victory: The Press Campaigns Surrounding the Faculty Paintings,” from Secession expert Ilona Sármány-Parsons’ book *Die Macht der Kunstkritik: Ludwig Hevesi und die Wiener Moderne* *(The Power of Art Criticism: Ludwig Hevesi and Viennese Modernism)* (Vienna: Böhlau Verlag, 2022; translated from Hungarian edition, Budapest: Balassi Kiadó, 2019). Contrary to the two aforementioned framings of Klimt’s Faculty Paintings, the article examines the role of art critics in the affair and argues that the discourse around the event actually reveals reasonable criticisms of philosophical, rhetorical and artistic stagnation in the Secession movement. While a broad spectrum of contemporaneous critical voices are invoked, the influential critic Ludvig Hevesi’s contributions to the debate come under particular scrutiny.

الإصرار على الحياة لدى طلبة الجامعة

هدفت الدراسة, تعرف مستوى الإصرار على الحياة ومستوى مكوناته عند طلبة الجامعة, وتعرف الفروق في الإصرار على الحياة, على وفق متغيري (الجنس والتخصص) والتفاعل بينهما. تكونت العينة من 400 طالب وطالبة من طلبة جامعة الكوفة (العراق), جرى اختيارهم بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث, تم بناء أداة على وفق نظرية كارل روجرز, تتكون من (46) فقرة, وخمسة بدائل للإجابة, وتوفرت في المقياس الخصائص السيكومترية. وكانت أهم النتائج: - تمتع طلبة الجامعة بمستوىً مرتفع في الإصرار على الحياة وفي مستوى مكوناته. - لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى 05‚0 في الإصرار على الحياة بين طلبة الجامعة وفق متغير الجنس, والتفاعل بين الجنس والتخصص. - توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى 05‚0 في مستوى الإصرار على الحياة بين طلبة التخصص العلمي وطلبة التخصص الإنساني, لصالح التخصص الإنساني.

الآثار التربوية والتعليمية لظاهرة السكن العشوائي (دراسة تطبيقية عن منطقة الرضوية في محافظة النجف الاشرف)

يتضمن بحثنا اربعة مباحث، تطرقنا في المبحث الاول لخصائص الوضع السكاني ـ الديمغرافي في منطقة الرضوية، في حين جاء المبحث الثاني في بيان خصائص حالة المساكن في منطقة البحث، اما المبحث الثالث فاهتم بتحليل خصائص الوضع الاقتصادي في المنطقة، ومن ثم جاء المبحث الرابع ليبين خصائص الوضع التعليمي والعلمي بناء على الأوضاع السكنية والسكانية لمنطقة الدراسة. استعان الباحثين ببعض الوسائل لإحصائية لتحليل البيانات لاستخلاص نتائج الدراسة مثل برامج (xl) و (maintab) الاحصائية. وتوصلنا الى نتاج تفيد بان لخصائص السكن العشوائي اثارا سلبية غالبا في مستويات التلاميذ.

La militanza di Fernanda Wittgens per il museo/Fernanda Wittgens' militancy for the museum

Il contributo avvia la ricostruzione, attraverso documentazione amministrativa e corrispondenza, del metodo adottato e delle scelte compiute da Fernanda Wittgens nella gestione della Pinacoteca di Brera tra il 1950 e il 1957. Sono affrontati il suo impegno nella realizzazione del “museo vivente” e nel passaggio dal museo “archivio” al museo “scuola”, i suoi contatti con il mondo museale americano. Quanto centrale fosse il tema per Wittgens è dimostrato dalla sua scelta di abbandonare il ruolo di Soprintendente alle Gallerie della Lombardia per dedicarsi interamente ad animare la vita del museo. The contribution sets out to reconstruct, through administrative documents and correspondence, the method adopted and the choices made by Fernanda Wittgens in the management of the Pinacoteca di Brera between 1950 and 1957. Her commitment to the realization of the "living museum", the transition from "archive" to "school" museum and her contacts with the American museum world are discussed. How central the theme was for Wittgens is shown by her decision to abandon her role as Superintendent of the Galleries of Lombardy to devote herself entirely to animating the life of the museum.

Entre el Delirio y la Ironía: el Joker. Sátira y Cinismo en la Obra de Chema Cobo

La iconografía del joker, bufón, payaso, etc. ha resultado muy atractiva y ha sido trabajada desde diferentes puntos de vista a lo largo de la historia en el mundo de las artes. Desde el cine hasta la pintura, pasando por la literatura o el teatro. La revitalización de este personaje tras el estreno cinematográfico de la super producción hollywoodiense de Todd Phillips, interpretada por Joaquin Phoenix, ha servido como excusa para realizar una revisión desde distintas perspectivas y saber cómo se relaciona esta iconografía con nuestro presente. Autores como Velázquez o espectáculos como el circo se han nutrido de esta figura. Aquí señalamos con más énfasis el caso del artista Chema Cobo (Tarifa, 1952), persona trascendental para el arte contemporáneo español desde la década de los 70 y que, desde finales de los años 80, ha trabajado sin cesar sobre este personaje. Se ha nutrido de él presentándolo en su trabajo como maestro de ceremonias, convirtiendo a esta especie de álter ego, en uno de los pilares iconográficos más importantes de su trayectoria.

El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar los alcances del concepto paisaje aplicado al territorio de la meseta norpatagónica, a partir de la obra de la artista neuquina Julieta Sacchi conocida como Museo meseta (2010, 2015). Se trata de dos experiencias de sitio específico realizadas en una zona próxima a Balsa Las Perlas, una localidad ubicada en el límite de la urbanización, en la costa del río Limay, próxima a un centro densamente poblado como es la ciudad de Neuquén.

Eco-justice Pedagogy All’Italiana: Radical Italian Art in the Italian-language Classroom

The climate crisis threatens our very existence in a myriad of urgent ways and thus merits imperative focus in pedagogic practices in general. This focus is achievable in Italian-language classrooms, where issues of global warming and climate crises are seldom mentioned, through artistic themes from Italy’s rich cultural heritage of the arts. The radical art movement of Arte Povera has the potential to bring ecological concerns to the forefront through a critical cultural lens of the country. By drawing upon images of the Arte Povera movement, concepts of eco-justice and eco-pedagogy can occur through paradigms of art-based education to not only discuss the impact of the climate crisis in Italy, but also achieve Italian-language acquisition critically.

La possibilità di dire “io”: un confronto tra Christa Wolf ed Elena Ferrante / The possibility of telling “I”: a confrontation between Christa Wolf and Elena Ferrante

Lo scopo di questo studio è individuare una “discendenza” di motivi che animano i romanzi di Elena Ferrante nella scrittura di Christa Wolf. Sebbene le due autrici siano separate da grandi differenze di retroterra storico e culturale, per entrambe il racconto si costruisce sulla possibilità di mettere il personaggio femminile al centro del mondo narrativo e, per traslazione del linguaggio. L’ipotesi già avanzata da Stefania Lucamante e ripresa da Rebecca Falkoff circa la presenza sotterranea di motivi della Wolf nella scrittura della Ferrante verrà sviluppata a partire da alcuni tratti comuni alle due autrici, che nei romanzi si riflettono in particolare: nel ruolo della donna-madre in una società pensata dagli uomini; nella portata sovversiva della ricerca di un’identità femminile autodeterminata e “protagonista”; nella dialettica, dentro la lingua della Ferrante, tra l’italiano e il dialetto, espressione di “un’alterità irriducibile” (De Rogatis), e il “linguaggio-fortezza” maschile della Wolf, in cui le protagoniste cercano di trovare una “parola che si apre la strada faticosamente nella lingua del mondo” (Raja).   The aim of this study is to individuate a “lineage” of themes that characterize Elena Ferrante’s novels and Christa Wolf’s writing. Although the two authors have different culture and personal history, they both develop the possibility to put the female characters at the center of the narrative world, and of the language. The hypothesis advanced by Stefania Lucamante and reworked by Rebecca Falkoff, about the hidden existence in Ferrante’s novels of themes that belong to Wolf, will be developed from some features shared by the two authors, that we can observe in: the role of woman and mother in a society created by men; the subversion regarding the research of a self-determinated and protagonist female identity; the dialectic, in Ferrante’s language, between Italian and dialect, expression of “an irreducible otherness” (De Rogatis), and the male “language-fortress” of Wolf’s novels, where the female characters try to find a “word that hardly opens the way in the mankind language” (Raja).

El cuerpo desde una subjetividad de progreso en la ‘nueva’ época antropocena

La evolución del concepto de cuerpo individual/cuerpo social, específicamente desde la modernidad, la industrialización y la actual implementación de las tecnologías nos conduce hacia una visión del sujeto humano en un continuo proceso de progreso ‘egoísta’, con sus correspondientes repercusiones en la totalidad del ecosistema terrestre. Según algunos científicos es necesario plantearnos la posibilidad de unanueva época geología: el antropoceno. La idea del cuerpo autómata persiste en nuestro imaginario occidental. Es notable, además, que el cuerpo se proponga como máquina y no como forma natural, cuestión que no dejará de traer consecuencias al momento de ejercer actividades con/sobre el cuerpo y sobre su espacio vital. Las nuevas tecnologías ofrecen la posibilidad de superar los límites impuestos por nuestra herencia biológica en una especie de deseo explícito de no aceptar nuestro pasado, ni nuestro origen natural-orgánico, frente a una automejora y modificación en un sistema de progreso ad infinitum. En este sentido, una serie importante de pensadores, científicos y artistas han generado relecturas el cuerpo como algo completamente obsoleto, como una cáscara vacía que debe ser abandonada paratecnológicamente dar paso al siguiente nivel en la evolución humana: el Techno Sapiens o el Cyborg. Seaboga para que el objeto de estudio de la antropología pase del ser humano al cyborg, considerado éste como un representante más idóneo de nuestro presente y, sobre todo, de nuestro futuro. Paralelamente en la esfera del arte aparecen figuras que buscan representar esta tecnoevolución como Stelar, Marcel·lí Antúnez, o Carlos Corpa, entre otros.

Education for the research: reflection from literature subjects

The purpose of this article is to present an experience report about an identity signaling through literary texts, with students of the 1st year of high school, in a full-time school, of the State-SED / MS. The purpose of the teaching proposal was for the students to recognize themselves or identify themselves from a study of different literary genres. These didactics was based on the presuppositions anchored in concepts of educating by research, and for this it was structured by a qualitative and empirical bias. The corpus of study is made from the written productions of the students referring to the first monthly planning of the literature discipline, whose guiding theme was identity. For this, we selected examples of these activities and their answers in order to perceive elements of authorship and reflection on the contents discussed. The results pointed out a specific participation of the students with the reflection on identity, the meanings of being a student in high school in the discipline of literature in a full time public school, which aims to research in the construction of knowledge. The theoretical basis that supports this reflection is made from Fernando Becker (2010), Pedro Demo (2007), Jussara Hoffmann (2006), Roxane Rojo (2009) Tania Marques (2010) and Viviane Mosé (2013; 2017). The (re) construct meanings through reading, analysis and textual interpretations in multiple languages: painting, advertising, literary and non-literary texts was the course that the students in this methodology practiced effectively.

“The Biennale of Dissent 1977” and Italian Architecture during the 1970s

In 1977, “The Biennale of Dissent” was a significant event in the history of the anti-Soviet dissidence. In Italy during the 1970s intellectuals, artists and architects had many connections with Marxist theories and the Soviet Union, but their role, referred to in this event, appears complex and, on occasions, contradictory. The Italian cultural world mirrored a political situation, in which it became a duty to take up a position which opposed Italy’s Fascist past. Artistic and political opinions coincided. For this reason, in Italy the culture of dissidence led to a heated debate. One generation of architects was born in this context and few were able to think outside the box. Museo reale e museo digitale: il caso del Museo Archeologico Regionale “A. Salinas” un anno dopo la riapertura / Real and digital museum: the case of the Museo Archeologico Regionale “A. Salinas” one year after its reopening

La riapertura del Museo Salinas, rimasto per anni inaccessibile a causa di un lungo restauro architettonico, ha rappresentato per la comunità e per l'istituzione stessa un momento di importante condivisione sociale. Accanto ai risultati raggiunti a museo "chiuso" in seguito all'adozione di una strategia di comunicazione capace di integrare l'attività sui canali social, l'adesione a campagne bottom-up per la valorizzazione digitale del patrimonio e la promozione di un ricco calendario di mostre ed eventi all’interno ed all’esterno dalla sede museale si affiancano ora grandi aspettative nei confronti di questa nuova realtà in cui i due sistemi - museo reale e museo digitale - hanno l'opportunità di interagire e comunicare. Questo contributo intende quindi analizzare, nell'ottica del miglioramento continuo, i risultati raggiunti dal museo a distanza di un anno dalla propria riapertura indagando sulle strategie adottate, sulla qualità dei servizi offerti e sulle opportunità ancora da sfruttare, dedicando particolare attenzione al tema dell'uso delle tecnologie digitali per la fruizione e la valorizzazione del patrimonio conservato. The reopening of the Museo Salinas, closed off for years due to a long architectural restoration, has represented a crucial moment of social sharing for both the community and the institution. Together with the results achieved as "closed" museum, thanks to the planning of a communication strategy aimed at introducing social channel activities, the adoption of a bottom-up campaign for cultural heritage digital evaluation and the promotion of a rich schedule of exhibitions and meetings outside of the museum, high expectations are present now for this new reality: two systems - the real museum and the digital museum - have the opportunity to interact and to communicate. The purpose of this paperwork is to analyze, for a continuous improvement, the achievements of the museum one year later the reopening by examining the strategies adopted, the quality of the services offered and the opportunities not yet used, with particular attention in the application of digital technologies for use and promotion of the preserved heritage.
