In a context marked by worsening climatic, ecological and social crises, this article offers a critical reading of the modern infrastructural paradigm, through the study of hydraulic infrastructure in India, and more specifically in the state of Rajasthan. Using an interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of anthropology, geography and architectural theory, the author examines the political, ontological and spatial imaginaries that underpin contemporary infrastructure. The article highlights the social and environmental consequences of the centralised, extractive hydraulic planning inherited from the colonial period and intensified after independence. Through the analysis of vernacular forms such as the johads and the Chand Baori, the article explores devices co-produced with the dynamics of the living, embodying a non-dual relationship between humans, territory and environments. Drawing on the work of Philippe Descola, Antoine Picon, Vandana Shiva and Bruno Latour, the author calls for an epistemological and aesthetic rethinking of infrastructural design. She proposes that infrastructure should no longer be seen as autonomous technical objects, but as situated cultural mediations capable of supporting an ecology of interdependence.

Jean Blanchard MAYI YUL

SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY: LASER CLADDING OF BRAKE DISCS REDUCING ITS PARTICULATE MATTER EMISSIONS
Paulo Paiva Oliveira Leite Dyer, Ana Cláudia Costa de Oliveira, Carolina Hahn da Silveira
et al.
The emission of 2.5µm particulate matter (PM2.5) from braking systems poses a significant health hazard. The wear of brake discs contributes to this issue. However, it can be mitigated. In this paper, a brake disk was Nickel laser cladded. Resulting in an improvement of more than 5 times of coefficient of friction and wear resistance. Likewise, under the deduced mathematical model, this improvement brings an estimative of annual reductions of 230,000 metric tons of PM2.5 not emitted; and more than 400,000 deaths, resulting from these emissions, avoided.

Gustavo Alberto San Juan, Graciela Melissa Viegas, Laura Elena Reynoso
Impact of Pricing and Product Information on Consumer Buying Behavior With Customer Satisfaction in a Mediating Role
Huiliang Zhao, Huiliang Zhao, Xuemei Yao
et al.
The relationship between product pricing and product packaging plays an important role in the buying behavior of consumers, whereas customer satisfaction plays a mediating role. To test these hypotheses, research was conducted on university students in China. Questionnaire-based convenience sampling was conducted on 500 students for data collection using online and offline sources. A total of 367 (73%) students responded, and 17 questionnaires were rejected due to missing information. SPSS and AMOS software were used for the data analysis. Product pricing and product information were independent variables in this study, whereas consumer buying behavior was a dependent variable. Customer satisfaction is mediated by one dependent and two independent variables. Confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, and discriminant validity in structural equation modeling revealed that product pricing and packaging had a statistically significant relationship with the buyer decision process. The introduction of satisfaction as a mediating variable led to the observation of full mediation in the case of product pricing and partial mediation in product packaging. Given the results of this research, product managers should adopt pricing tactics along with product packaging to influence the buying intentions of consumers.
THE CLASSICAL GUITAR IN THE MIRROR OF THE RUSSIAN MUSICAL HISTORIOGRAPHY
AGAFITA, MIHAIL
The article is dedicated to Russian scientific sources about the modern classical guitar written by A. Petropavlovsky, V. Ganeev, K. Ilyghin, D. Krutikov. In A. Petropavlovsky’s work “Guitar in the Chamber Ensemble” three stages of the participation of the guitar within the instrumental ensemble are revealed. On this basis, the author of this article completes the classification of the Russian scientist, adding the genre of concerto for guitar and orchestra. V. Ganeev’s work “Classical Guitar in Russia: the Problem of Academic Status” deals with ideological obstacles that caused the lack of support for the instrument from the music education system. In D. Krutikov’s research entitled “The Art of Guitar in Petersburg-Petrograd-Leningrad in the First Half of the 20th Century”, are studied the influences of European and American musicians on the formation of guitar interpretation and teaching school in the Russian cultural capital. The explored sources occupy an important place in Russian historiography, providing the researchers of the modern classical guitar with an advanced methodology

Unravelling A Regulation Machine
Dionysia Mylonaki, Panagiotis Tigas
Computational censorship in the form of fake news and toxic comments regulation is a subject that comes up quite often in the public discourse, as a result of the volatile political circumstances on a global scale and due to the unquestionable impact of journalism on these circumstances. Public attention has been directed to the role of mainstream and other media in the formation of public opinion, either in the form of articles or in the form of usergenerated comments. The purpose is to analyse and allow a deeper understanding of a project that is under development, namely, computational-censorship and to show that algorithmic regulation is not a solution, but rather another layer to a more fundamental problem.
This article examines the implicationsof developing Machine Leraning/Artificial Iintelligence (ML/AI) which aims to regulate the internet and we attempt to allow a glimpse into the technical aspect of the problem as a way to back arguments that could be re-jected by the ML/AI research community as “non-pragmatic”. Finally, it aims to highlight the absurdity of the current approach to research in this area, which is the exact opposite of the rationalism that the field claims to be embracing.

Soil Recycling Among Construction Sites by Optimizing Schedule and Costs for Earthmoving
Hyemi Choi, Min-Ho Park, Dae-Min Jeong
et al.
Recycling uncontaminated excavated construction soil is beneficial because it reduces the costs to abandon excess soil or obtain refill soil from a distant location while alleviating environmental burdens. For this reason, various methods and techniques to support on-site soil reuse have been explored. However, in order to increase the reuse rate, excavated soil should be recycled among different construction sites as well. As a prerequisite for reusing excess soil in this context, the construction schedules, type of soil, trading volume, and incurred costs must be coordinated. In order to consider all of these aspects, earthmoving among construction sites needs to be planned by means of multi-objective optimization. This paper aims to present a practical solution supporting inter-site soil trade by introducing a non-dominated sorting algorithm-II (NSGA-II), a type of multi-objective evolutionary algorithm (MOEA). A description of the optimization procedure is provided, and computational results are presented to prove the effectiveness of the selected method.

AZAS LUDIC DALAM KERAMAIAN BUNYI RITUS NGAROT
Aton Rustandi Mulyana
This paper questions the relationship between sound crowd and the principle of ludic that is present in a rite Ngarot, one of a series of rites farmers in Lelea Indramayu, West Java. Based on Homo Ludens by Johan Huizinga’thoughts and supported by its liminality by Victor Turner. many ludic nature shown through its playing principles, that is free, temporary, closed, tense, but at the same
order. The nature of liminality is revealed through the presence of a celebrated rite ngarot sometime before the growing season in the early half of the rainy season, as well as celebrations carried on
the threshold between the two events daily, or between an unusual event with a regular event.
Key words : sound, ritual, ngarot, ludic, liminality.
The "Kimono Wednesday" Protests : Identity Politics and How the Kimono Became More Than Japanese
J. Valk
This research note gives an overview of the issues raised by the protest of a group of Asian Americans and their supporters against the allegedly Orientalist and discriminatory nature of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts’s event “Kimono Wednesdays.” In this note, I assess the protestors’ claims that the kimono try-on event at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts (hereafter Boston MFA) was an instance of cultural appropriation taking place within an Orientalist framework conceptually linked to modern-day violence and discrimination toward Asian Americans. I then go on to reveal the key role of North American racial politics and identity in the protests and demonstrate how the protestors’ sense of the kimono as a symbol of pan-ethnic Asian American identity became a source of disagreement over who has the authority to represent others and say how a cultural symbol such as the kimono is worn or used, but also over Orientalism, cultural imperialism, and the concept of cultural appropriation.
