Geschichtenverstehen interaktiv. Potenziale interaktionsbasierter Literaturrezeption in inklusiven Lerngruppen

Abstract (english): Understanding stories interactively. Potentials of interaction-based literature reception in inclusive learning groups The use of games in inclusive educational contexts is largely unexplored, yet as interactive media they offer a wide range of potential, for example to initiate literary comprehension processes and enable the development of literary competences in learners with diagnosed special educational needs. This article presents the results of the project "Potentials of interaction-based reception" (PinbaR for short), in which the comprehension of primary school pupils with special educational needs for learning in a print-orientated and a game-orientated setting was examined in more detail and findings regarding the use of cognitive and metacognitive learning strategies were obtained.

Argument placement in Faroese

Björn Lundquist

This article gives a summary of the Faroese data concerning argument placement in the Nordic Word order Database (NWD). Special emphasis is put on carefully describing the different conditions tested in the argument placement experiment, the experimental set-up, and the demographic information of the participants. An overview of relevant parts of Faroese grammar is also given, as well as a summary of the word order patterns found in the Faroese data present in the database. Finally, we discuss how the data in the database provides new insights to the grammar of Faroese, and how the data patterns in Faroese differ from the patterns observed in the other North Germanic languages.

Nordic Word Order Database: Motivations, methods, material and infrastructure

Björn Lundquist, I. Larsson, Maud Westendorp et al.

In this article, we present the Nordic Word Order Database (NWD), with a focus on the rationale behind it, the methods used in data elicitation, data analysis and the empirical scope of the database. NWD is an online database with a user-friendly search interface, hosted by The Text Laboratory at the University of Oslo, launched in April 2019 (https://tekstlab.uio.no/nwd). It contains elicited production data from speakers of all of the North Germanic languages, including several different dialects. So far, 7 fieldtrips have been conducted, and data from altogether around 250 participants (age 16–60) have been collected (approx. 55 000 sentences in total). The data elicitation is carried out through a carefully controlled production experiment that targets core syntactic phenomena that are known to show variation within and/or between the North Germanic languages, e.g., subject placement, object placement, particle placement and verb placement. In this article, we present the motivations and research questions behind the database, as well as a description of the experiment, the data collection procedure, and the structure of the database

Engelske låneord i opdateringer af Den Danske Ordbog og Retskrivningsordbogen (2014–2017)

Mikołaj Sobkowiak

This paper analyzes the recent updates of two major dictionaries of contemporary Danish, Den Danske Ordbog (a corpus-based dictionary of general Danish) and the official dictionary of Danish spelling – Retskrivningsordbogen. In the analyzed period (2014–2017) each of the dictionaries in question was updated several times, English loanwords being well represented in each of the updates. The author provides basic information on the two dictionaries in question and compares the overall update strategies and methods for both of them as well as the sources of new entries. This is followed by an analysis of the newly added entries, the main focus being the types of English loanwords in the updates. Most attention is paid to the two most common loanword types found in the analyzed data, i.e. direct loanwords and hybrid formations, as well as to what similarities and differences can be found in the updates of the two dictionaries.

Zeichen und die epistemische Asymmetrie

Michal Rubáš

In communication, the mental and physical qualities get put into language. While the former can be ascribed to their bearers in the subject-use, the ascription of the latter is only possible in the object-use. The two ways of ascribing are very different, based on diverse epistemic capacities, and there is a unilateral dependency relation between them. The text raises the question whether these conditions imply some consequences for semiology.

Von Glaubenskämpfen und Himmelfahrtskommandos: Metaphorik im deutschen Mediendiskurs zur Inklusion

Romana Castro Zambrano
