The historical value of Cantor's work, and also of set theory, both in its naive and axiomatic phases, are undeniable. This article, however, carries out a critical reading of Cantorian theory and, to a large extent, of axiomatic set theory, and connects the analysis with some hints for ongoing discussion in mathematics, physics and epistemology. Inconsistencies and contradictions, in key points of the theory, are highlighted: actual infinity, equal treatment, for most aspects, of infinite and finite sets, infinite plurality and hierarchy of uncountable sets, faultiness of diagonal method. These critical issues have been incorporated, with differences between various versions, into axiomatic theory, which failed to complete the program of providing secure and well-defined foundations for mathematics, which, however, does not appear to suffer from poor health. Mathematicians did not care about failure of various foundationalist schools, they continued, and it was the best choice, to dedicate themselves to mathematical practice. With the crisis of foundations and with concomitant physical revolutions, the loss of many certainties has occurred, however, the prospect for research ends up reversing into an extraordinary open horizon, in borderlands between mathematics, logic, physics and philosophy.

Artificial Intelligence agents represent the next major revolution in the continuous technological evolution of industrial automation. In this paper, we introduce a new approach for business process design and development that leverages the capabilities of Agentic AI. Departing from the traditional task-based approach to business process design, we propose an agent-based method, where agents contribute to the achievement of business goals, identified by a set of business objects. When a single agent cannot fulfill a goal, we have a merge goal that can be achieved through the collaboration of multiple agents. The proposed model leads to a more modular and intelligent business process development by organizing it around goals, objects, and agents. As a result, this approach enables flexible and context-aware automation in dynamic industrial environments.

Extracting structured procedural knowledge from unstructured business documents is a critical yet unresolved bottleneck in process automation. While prior work has focused on extracting linear action flows from instructional texts, such as recipes, it has insufficiently addressed the complex logical structures, including conditional branching and parallel execution, that are pervasive in real-world regulatory and administrative documents. Furthermore, existing benchmarks are limited by simplistic schemas and shallow logical dependencies, restricting progress toward logic-aware large language models. To bridge this Logic Gap, we introduce BREX, a carefully curated benchmark comprising 409 real-world business documents and 2,855 expert-annotated rules. Unlike prior datasets centered on narrow service scenarios, BREX spans over 30 vertical domains, covering scientific, industrial, administrative, and financial regulations. We further propose ExIde, a structure-aware reasoning framework that investigates five distinct prompting strategies, ranging from implicit semantic alignment to executable grounding via pseudo-code generation. This enables explicit modeling of rule dependencies and provides an out-of-the-box framework for different business customers without finetuning their own large language models. We benchmark ExIde using 13 state-of-the-art large language models. Our extensive evaluation reveals that executable grounding serves as a superior inductive bias, significantly outperforming standard prompts in rule extraction. In addition, reasoning-optimized models demonstrate a distinct advantage in tracing long-range and non-linear rule dependencies compared to standard instruction-tuned models.

Vietnam is a rapidly developing country associated with changes in socio-economic activities, especially both public and private services. The service industry is making a practical contribution to economic growth and is gaining a great position. To help a society develop harmoniously, the economy must satisfy people's ability to access services, especially basic services such as education, healthcare, legality, transportation, security and safety. The aims of the study are to estimate factors affecting legal service quality, and based on the survey in three provinces in Vietnam: Lam Dong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and through quantitative analysis, the research results show that there are five factors that positively affect service quality, which are: (1) government; (2) head of the unit; (3) influencer; (4) opinions of people around; and (5) organizations and individuals providing services. The research results also discuss some solutions to increase service quality and sustainable development of Vietnam in the coming time.

WhatsApp has become a pivotal communication tool in India, transcending cultural boundaries and deeply integrating into the nation's digital landscape. Meta's introduction of WhatsApp for Business aligns seamlessly with the platform's popularity, offering businesses a crucial tool. However, the monetization plans pose challenges, particularly for smaller businesses, in balancing revenue goals with accessibility. This study, employing discourse analysis, examines Meta's infrastructuring of WhatsApp in India, emphasizing the dynamic interplay of technological, social, and cultural dimensions. Consequently, it highlights potential power differences caused by the deployment of WhatsApp for Business followed by its gradual but significant modifications, encouraging scholars to investigate the implications and ethics of rapid technological changes, particularly for marginalized users.

Semi-arithmetic Fuchsian groups is a wide class of discrete groups of isometries of the hyperbolic plane which includes arithmetic Fuchsian groups, hyperbolic triangle groups, groups admitting a modular embedding, and others. We introduce a new geometric invariant of a semi-arithmetic group called stretch. Its definition is based on the notion of the Riemannian center of mass developed by Karcher and collaborators. We show that there exist only finitely many conjugacy classes of semi-arithmetic groups with bounded arithmetic dimension, stretch and coarea. The proof of this result uses the arithmetic Margulis lemma. We also show that when stretch is not bounded there exist infinite sequences of such groups.

Layout design and selection often have notable effects on the performance of the manufacturing industry. This research investigates the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach to find out the optimum plant layout design. The proposed methodology is demonstrated through the real-life setting for the gearbox manufacturing industry. Manual and computerized layout generation approach is used efficiently and accordingly, six layout designs are generated. The approach takes into account qualitative as well as quantitative performance criteria for the selection of layout design. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to obtain the weight of qualitative measures. Ranking of alternatives is obtained through the application of Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Weighted Aggregated Sum-Product Assessment (WASPAS) both integrated with the Entropy method. Empirical findings indicate that the rank acquired using the TOPSIS method is perfectly parallel to those acquired through the WASPAS method, which confirms the applicability and potential of these methods. Also, the effect of the parameter λ in WASPAS method on performance score is stable. At the same time, this paper analyses the rank reversal phenomenon and proves that the ranking proposed by TOPSIS satisfies ranking stability.

"Data" is becoming an indispensable production factor, just like land, infrastructure, labor or capital. As part of this, a myriad of applications in different sectors require huge amounts of information to feed models and algorithms responsible for critical roles in production chains and business processes. Tasks ranging from automating certain functions to facilitating decision-making in data-driven organizations increasingly benefit from acquiring data inputs from third parties. Responding to this demand, new entities and novel business models have appeared with the aim of matching such data requirements with the right providers and facilitating the exchange of information. In this paper, we present the results and conclusions of a comprehensive survey on the state of the art of entities trading data on the internet, as well as novel data marketplace designs from the research community.

The origin of this paper starts with the observation by Yang Mills that what state represents a proton in isospin space at one location does not determine what state represents a proton in isospin space at another location. This is accounted for by the presence of a unitary gauge transformation operator, $U(y,x)$, between vector spaces at different locations. This operator defines the notion of same states for vector spaces at different locations. If $ψ$ is a state in a vector space at $x$ then $U(y,x)ψ$ is the same state in the vector space at $y$. Vector spaces include scalar fields in their axiomatic description. These appear as norms, closure under vector scalar multiplication, etc. This leads to a conflict: local vector spaces and global scalar fields. Here this conflict is removed by replacing global scalar fields with local scalar fields. These are represented by $\bar{S}_{x}$ where $x$ is any location in Euclidean space or space time. Here $S$ represents the different type of numbers, (natural, integers, rational, real, and complex). The association of scalar fields with vector spaces and the Yang Mills observation raises the question, What corresponds to the Yang Mills observation for numbers? The answer is that two different concepts, number and number meaning or value, are conflated in the usual use of mathematics. These two concepts are distinct.

The complexity of a business environment often causes organizations to produce several inconsistent views on the same business process, leading to fragmentation and inefficiencies. Business process view integration attempts to produce an integrated view from different views of the same model, facilitating the management of models. To study trends around business process view integration, we conduct a systematic literature review to summarize findings since the 1970s, up to its potential novel applications. With a starting corpus of 798 documents, this survey draws up a systematic inventory of solutions used in academia and in the industry. By narrowing it down to 51 articles, we discuss in-depth 15 business process integration techniques papers. After that, we classify existing solutions according to their practicality. Our study shows that most integrated views are constructed by annotation, using formal merging rules. Finally, we explore possible future research directions. We highlight the application of view integration to the blockchain research area, where stakeholders can have different views on the same blockchain. We expect that this study contributes to interdisciplinary research across view integration.

Low Code platforms, according to Gartner Group, represent one of the more disruptive technologies in the development and maintenance of enterprise applications. The key factor is represented by the central involvement of business people and domain expert, with a substantial disintermediation with respect to technical people. In this paper we propose a methodology conceived to support non-technical people in addressing business process innovation and developing enterprise software application. The proposed methodology, called EasInnova, is solidly rooted in Model-Driven Engineering and adopts a three staged model of an innovation undertaking. The three stages are: AsIs that models the existing business scenario; Transformation that consists in the elaboration of the actual innovation; ToBe that concerns the modeling of new business scenario. The core of EasInnova is represented by a matrix where columns are the three innovation stages and the rows are the three Model-Driven Architecture layers: CIM, PIM, PSM. The cells indicate the steps to be followed in achieving the sought innovation. Finally, the produced models will be transferred onto a BonitaSoft, the Low Code platform selected in our work. The methodology is described by means of a simple example in the domain of home food delivery.

For sales and marketing organizations within large enterprises, identifying and understanding new markets, customers and partners is a key challenge. Intel's Sales and Marketing Group (SMG) faces similar challenges while growing in new markets and domains and evolving its existing business. In today's complex technological and commercial landscape, there is need for intelligent automation supporting a fine-grained understanding of businesses in order to help SMG sift through millions of companies across many geographies and languages and identify relevant directions. We present a system developed in our company that mines millions of public business web pages, and extracts a faceted customer representation. We focus on two key customer aspects that are essential for finding relevant opportunities: industry segments (ranging from broad verticals such as healthcare, to more specific fields such as 'video analytics') and functional roles (e.g., 'manufacturer' or 'retail'). To address the challenge of labeled data collection, we enrich our data with external information gleaned from Wikipedia, and develop a semi-supervised multi-label, multi-lingual deep learning model that parses customer website texts and classifies them into their respective facets. Our system scans and indexes companies as part of a large-scale knowledge graph that currently holds tens of millions of connected entities with thousands being fetched, enriched and connected to the graph by the hour in real time, and also supports knowledge and insight discovery. In experiments conducted in our company, we are able to significantly boost the performance of sales personnel in the task of discovering new customers and commercial partnership opportunities.

Using Buium's theory of arithmetic differential characters, we construct a filtered $F$-isocrystal ${\bf H}(A)_K$ associated to an abelian scheme $A$ over a $p$-adically complete discrete valuation ring with perfect residue field. As a filtered vector space, ${\bf H}(A)_K$ admits a natural map to the usual de Rham cohomology of $A$, but the Frobenius operator comes from arithmetic differential theory and is not the same as the usual crystalline one. When $A$ is an elliptic curve, we show that ${\bf H}(A)_K$ has a natural integral model ${\bf H}(A)$, which implies an integral refinement of a result of Buium's on arithmetic differential characters. The weak admissibility of ${\bf H}(A)_K$ depends on the invertibility of an arithmetic-differential modular parameter. Thus the Fontaine functor associates to suitably generic $A$ a local Galois representation of an apparently new kind.

Business expectations regarding the introduction of business information systems were investigated according to company size categories. The results clearly showed that according to the majority of the respondents the information supply for decision-makers improved. In contrast, business information systems as a means of improving competitiveness were only regarded by corporations, this aspect was only around the average in the other company size categories. The respondents evaluated to what extent the usage of business information system provided assistance for their economic analyses. The obtained results show that business information systems can be utilized well in controlling and reporting. There are differences in their judgement by size categories. Particularly corporations can take advantage of the support of business information systems mainly in the field of planning, plan-actual analysis and the exploration of cost reducing possibilities.
