Cybercrime as a Service: A Scoping Review
Ema Mauko, Shane D Johnson, Enrico Mariconti
Cloud computing has drastically altered the ways in which it is possible to deliver information technologies in a service-led structure, however, this has also been reflected in the cybercrime domain. Cybercrime as a Service is an economic model where a technically skilled actor offers a given cyberattack as an end-to-end service to non-technical actors who pay a subscription fee for said service. The services, which can vary in scope, targets, and delivery modes, include everything from the vulnerability discoveries, delivery of the attack, and the attack itself to financial rewards to the subscriber. In this scoping literature review, we analysed 195 articles from both academic and grey literature with a view of investigating the services articles studied, the methodological approach the how the CaaS model is predicted to develop in the future. Our review indicates that with further commercialisation of the model will further lower the barrier of entry to the cybercrime realm, increase sophistication of the attacks and increase resilience of the service providers and their ecosystem which will result in harder shutdowns of services by the authorities. Furthermore, as the model becomes more accessible, groups such as organised crime groups, extremist actors may use them as well, which may have implications for criminal activity in both cyber and physical domains.
An Illustration of Hope: An Anti-Deficit Approach to Understand the Lived Experiences of Black Women Athletic Administrators
Leah Brundidge, Kristi Oshiro, Andrew Goldsmith
et al.
Being that Black women account for less than five percent of those who hold Assistant and Associate Athletic Director positions, their access to power, status, and influence within NCAA Division I (DI) athletics is limited. While Black women sport participation has increased, there are still limitations in gender and racial diversity amongst college sport leadership. Existing scholarship has highlighted and addressed these barriers. This study, however, implements an anti-deficit approach to examine the work experiences of Black women in college athletic leadership roles and focused on their supports and positive experiences. The purpose of this study is two-fold: (a) address and discuss the strategies and supports utilized to overcome any workplace barriers and (b) spotlight the positive experiences and advantages that this group’s identities provide within the workplace. To bolster the anti-deficit lens, intersectionality and Black Feminist Thought frameworks serve as the analytic framework. Using semi-structured interviews and participant surveys, the responses from ten (10) participants yielded five (5) themes: (a) credibility, (b) role model/representation, (c) communities of support, (d) mindset, and (e) moving with purpose.

Institutional Barriers Impeding Collegiate Sport Club Operational Effectiveness
Leeann Lower-Hoppe, W. Andrew Czekanski, Daniel Springer
et al.
Collegiate sport clubs constitute an important sport outlet for college students, with club operations managed by member students serving in governing roles. While clubs are given autonomy to operate, they must navigate a complex institutional environment with regulative pressures that can impede club operations. This research explored the institutional barriers that impede collegiate sport clubs from operating effectively. Guided by a bioecological framework and social constructivist epistemology, we facilitated focus groups with 29 collegiate sports clubs, interviewed four recreational sport administrators, and collected 29 public documents pertaining to club operations across three universities in the United States. Thematic analysis across the data sources revealed three overarching themes, pointing to institutional rules, policies, and procedures (regulations on club eligibility, executive boards, resource allocations, financial activities, risk, travel, marketing); university constraints (limited university resources, organizational problems, interorganizational conflict); and club constraints (poor communication, poor planning and documentation, poor decisions, centralized leadership) as factors impeding club operations. Study implications include reducing bureaucratic red tape, training club leaders, creating a sport club council, supporting club resource acquisition, and increasing club’s division of labor and communication.

The online destination image as portrayed by the user-generated content on social media and its impact on tourists' engagement
Manuela Guerreiro , Patrícia Pinto , Célia M.Q. Ramos
et al.
Tourism Destination Image (TDI) is complex, dynamic and multidimensional by nature and shaped by a multitude of events, interactions and sensory impressions, especially once the tourist is at the destination, generating tourists' engagement on social media networks. This study aims to measure the online destination image (ODI) portrayed in user-generated content (UGC) on social media by employing the sentiment analysis method. Data were extracted from Facebook and Instagram on the Visit Algarve social media profile. The Algarve region is situated in the south of Portugal and is one of Europe's most popular tourist destinations. The main results shed light on the relevance of intangible heritage experiences as triggers of positive feelings about the destination. Content shared about tourists' activities in the region generates more engagement in the tourism destination's social media. Tangible heritage received the lowest rated sentiment, and destination agents should strategically look into it as there are opportunities for destination management. Tourism infrastructure has the lowest engagement value; therefore, in terms of promotion, it does not generate interest.

Impact of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases on static and dynamic balance
Hayam A. Hussien Abd Allah, Akram Abdelaziz Sayed, Alaa Rashad Mahmoud
et al.
Background and purpose
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a type of respiratory disease which causes progressive airflow restriction as well as respiratory discomfort. Exercise intolerance, the feeling of dyspnea, as well as fatigue are common among individuals who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and are major factors in the reduction of physical activity. Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exhibit dysfunctions in the peripheral muscular system as well as to the respiratory as well as circulatory systems. The pathophysiology of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease suggests that patients experiencing this condition have multiple risk factors for falls with the elderly.
Our study's goal is to compare static as well as dynamic balance in subjects with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients in order to explore the probability of falls during the acute phases of the disease and to recognize the factors that may increase that possibility.
Material and Methods
52 males ranging in age from 55 to 65 years. Twenty-six (26) patients with a confirmed diagnosis of mild chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and twenty-six (26) healthy people (control group) with comparable demographic data. The difference in Activities specific balance confidence scale (ABC) scale, Romberg test (RM), Single Leg Stance (SLS), as well as Timed Up and Go test (TUG) scores among these two groups, as well as the association of these scores with a variety of incriminating factors, was examined.
Results
The results revealed that the control group's ABC scale and SLS time were substantially lesser than the study group's (p 0.001). The TUG, OASI, APSI, as well as MLSI of the control group were substantially higher than those of the study group (p 0.001). Positive Romberg's test results were substantially larger than those seen in the control group (p 0.001).
Conclusion
Based on the results, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients' treatment plans should include a balance evaluation. The component should be treated on both static and dynamic levels. As a result, the patient's balance and quality of life improve.

Predictive Modeling of Homeless Service Assignment: A Representation Learning Approach
Khandker Sadia Rahman, Charalampos Chelmis
In recent years, there has been growing interest in leveraging machine learning for homeless service assignment. However, the categorical nature of administrative data recorded for homeless individuals hinders the development of accurate machine learning methods for this task. This work asserts that deriving latent representations of such features, while at the same time leveraging underlying relationships between instances is crucial in algorithmically enhancing the existing assignment decision-making process. Our proposed approach learns temporal and functional relationships between services from historical data, as well as unobserved but relevant relationships between individuals to generate features that significantly improve the prediction of the next service assignment compared to the state-of-the-art.
Dependent Infrastructure Service Disruption Mapping (DISruptionMap): A Method to Assess Cascading Service Disruptions in Disaster Scenarios
Moritz Schneider, Lukas Halekotte, Andrea Mentges
et al.
Critical infrastructures provide essential services for our modern society. Large-scale natural hazards, such as floods or storms, can disrupt multiple critical infrastructures at once. In addition, a localized failure of one service can trigger a cascade of failures of other dependent services. This makes it challenging to anticipate and prepare adequately for direct and indirect consequences of such events. Existing methods that are spatially explicit and consider service dependencies currently lack practicality, as they require large amounts of data. To address this gap, we propose a novel method called DISruptionMap which analyzes complex disruptions to critical infrastructure services. The proposed method combines i) spatial service models to assess direct service disruptions with ii) a service dependency model to assess indirect (cascading) service disruptions. A fault tree-based approach is implemented, resulting in a significant decrease in the information required to set up the service dependency model. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in a case study examining the impact of an extreme flood on health, transport, and power services in Cologne, Germany.
Spatio-Temporal SIR Model of Pandemic Spread During Warfare with Optimal Dual-use Healthcare System Administration using Deep Reinforcement Learning
Adi Shuchami, Teddy Lazebnik
Large-scale crises, including wars and pandemics, have repeatedly shaped human history, and their simultaneous occurrence presents profound challenges to societies. Understanding the dynamics of epidemic spread during warfare is essential for developing effective containment strategies in complex conflict zones. While research has explored epidemic models in various settings, the impact of warfare on epidemic dynamics remains underexplored. In this study, we proposed a novel mathematical model that integrates the epidemiological SIR (susceptible-infected-recovered) model with the war dynamics Lanchester model to explore the dual influence of war and pandemic on a population's mortality. Moreover, we consider a dual-use military and civil healthcare system that aims to reduce the overall mortality rate which can use different administration policies. Using an agent-based simulation to generate in silico data, we trained a deep reinforcement learning model for healthcare administration policy and conducted an intensive investigation on its performance. Our results show that a pandemic during war conduces chaotic dynamics where the healthcare system should either prioritize war-injured soldiers or pandemic-infected civilians based on the immediate amount of mortality from each option, ignoring long-term objectives. Our findings highlight the importance of integrating conflict-related factors into epidemic modeling to enhance preparedness and response strategies in conflict-affected areas.
Isambard-AI: a leadership class supercomputer optimised specifically for Artificial Intelligence
Simon McIntosh-Smith, Sadaf R Alam, Christopher Woods
Isambard-AI is a new, leadership-class supercomputer, designed to support AI-related research. Based on the HPE Cray EX4000 system, and housed in a new, energy efficient Modular Data Centre in Bristol, UK, Isambard-AI employs 5,448 NVIDIA Grace-Hopper GPUs to deliver over 21 ExaFLOP/s of 8-bit floating point performance for LLM training, and over 250 PetaFLOP/s of 64-bit performance, for under 5MW. Isambard-AI integrates two, all-flash storage systems: a 20 PiByte Cray ClusterStor and a 3.5 PiByte VAST solution. Combined these give Isambard-AI flexibility for training, inference and secure data accesses and sharing. But it is the software stack where Isambard-AI will be most different from traditional HPC systems. Isambard-AI is designed to support users who may have been using GPUs in the cloud, and so access will more typically be via Jupyter notebooks, MLOps, or other web-based, interactive interfaces, rather than the approach used on traditional supercomputers of sshing into a system before submitting jobs to a batch scheduler. Its stack is designed to be quickly and regularly upgraded to keep pace with the rapid evolution of AI software, with full support for containers. Phase 1 of Isambard-AI is due online in May/June 2024, with the full system expected in production by the end of the year.
Support to Classify Intercollegiate Athletics Participation as a High Impact Practice
Molly Harry
Abstract: Academic practitioners have promoted the idea of high impact practices (HIPs) in higher education. HIPs are cognitive and social activities designed to prepare students for life after college. Research indicates that college athletes are less involved in HIPs than non-athlete peers; however, limited research has explored the ways in which athletics, if organized and governed appropriately and ethically, can qualify as a HIP. This manuscript examines the intercollegiate athletics and higher education literature and provides key ways in which athletics participation has components—such as reflection, intentionality, and interaction—present in HIPs. Additionally, this manuscript offers practical implications for athletics leaders to consider in order to further align athletics participation with other traditional HIPs. As critics note the growing divide between academics and athletics, reframing sports as an educational endeavor, such as a HIP, may help alleviate some strain between sport and the academy.

The interactive effects of extrinsic and intrinsic motivations on service recovery performance: the mediating role of self-efficacy
Yanni Zhu , Yixuan Wang , Baoyi Song
et al.
In recent decades, interest has grown in understanding the mechanisms of service recovery performance (SRP) in the hospitality industry. This study introduces an interactive perspective incorporating both extrinsic and intrinsic factors, investigating the roles of inclusive leadership and job autonomy on employee self-efficacy, with self-efficacy mediating their relationships with SRP. Surface acting is proposed as a negative moderator. A sample of 83 supervisors and 350 frontline employees from 8 Chinese hotels completed questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using PLS-SEM in Smart PLS 4 and regression analysis in SPSS 25. Results show that inclusive leadership and job autonomy contribute to strong self-efficacy and enhanced SRP. Surface acting moderates the relationship between inclusive leadership and self-efficacy but not between job autonomy and self-efficacy. This cross-sectional survey offers practical implications for hospitality managers, providing guidance on fostering environments that promote self-efficacy and enhance SRP. Limitations include reliance on self-reported measures and a cross-sectional design. Future research could explore other moderators and mediators, different industries, and use longitudinal or experimental designs to establish causality.

Statistical Trends of the Tourism Industry in Calarasi County, Romania
Cosmin Nicolae Mirea
Tourist establishments are indispensable elements of touristic activity, in the sense that the tourism potential of a
destination cannot be capitalized without the existence of accommodation, food, transport and leisure
establishments, but also of travel agencies. Calarasi County has all the tourism establishments mentioned above,
and their dynamics are different, presenting different growth rates. The purpose of this work is to carry out a
statistical analysis of the aforementioned tourist establishments in order to find out whether they tend to increase
or decrease their number in the future. In the case of Calarasi County, besides the transport establishments, the
other tourism establishments analyzed show a tendency to increase from a numerical point of view, a fact
demonstrated by the adjustment of the data series. For the processing of the data, average indicators, indicators
of the central trend were used, and for the adjustment of the data, the method of the average increase was used.

ServiceNet: A P2P Service Network
Ji Liu, Hang Zhao, Jiyuan Yang
et al.
Given a large number of online services on the Internet, from time to time, people are still struggling to find out the services that they need. On the other hand, when there are considerable research and development on service discovery and service recommendation, most of the related work are centralized and thus suffers inherent shortages of the centralized systems, e.g., adv-driven, lack at trust, transparence and fairness. In this paper, we propose a ServiceNet - a peer-to-peer (P2P) service network for service discovery and service recommendation. ServiceNet is inspired by blockchain technology and aims at providing an open, transparent and self-growth, and self-management service ecosystem. The paper will present the basic idea, an architecture design of the prototype, and an initial implementation and performance evaluation the prototype design.
Psychological coaching as a driver of young entrepreneurs’ enhanced networking capabilities
Ana Galvão, Marco Pinheiro
According to the Global Entrepreneurship Index 2018, Portugal’s
entrepreneurship is suboptimal due to Portuguese entrepreneurs’
low networking capacity. This research focused on psychological and
personality traits that may contribute to this suboptimal
performance. The study was based on 331 young adults who
answered a questionnaire composed of three parts:
sociodemographic questions, the Portuguese Entrepreneurial
Psychological Traits Inventory (PEPTI) and the Big Five Inventory (BFI44). The results show that young Portuguese entrepreneurs score
higher on the PEPTI and four of the BFI-44’s five dimensions.
However, the differences detected in the agreeableness trait scores
are not statistically significant, which is a possible reason for the
reported suboptimal networking skills. Since networking capabilities
are important for successful entrepreneurship, the findings include
the need to create a psychological coaching programme for young
Portuguese entrepreneurs to enhance various soft skills that could
improve their networking capabilities.
