Ambientes dígito-virtuais de informação LGBTQ+: intersecções entre o Design da Informação, a Curadoria Digital e o Design de Experiência

Os ambientes dígito-virtuais voltados para a temática LGBTQ+ configuram importantes espaços de acesso e compartilhamento de informações, ao convergir conteúdos sobre existências dissidentes e historicamente marginalizadas, evocar sua cultura e memória, além de dar visibilidade às suas narrativas em múltiplas perspectivas. Tais ambientes demandam estudos que analisem as principais características presentes na estruturação, no acesso e no compartilhamento da informação para possíveis melhorias nos processos infocomunicacionais. As convergências entre o Design da Informação e a Curadoria Digital, alinhadas ao Design de Experiência, possibilitam analisar aspectos inerentes à estruturação, organização e apresentação da informação em ambientes dígito-virtuais. Desse modo, objetivou-se explorar iniciativas nacionais e internacionais para a comunicação de informações sobre à temática LGBTQ+; identificar e descrever a presença de elementos do Design da Informação, convergidos à Curadoria Digital, na perspectiva do Design de Experiência e verificar as contribuições da intersecção das referidas disciplinas para a otimização do acesso, do compartilhamento e da apropriação da informação em ambiente dígito-virtual. A metodologia utilizada foi de caráter qualitativo e de abordagem teórica, exploratória e descritiva, por meio da aplicação do método Design Thinking nas fases de Empatia, Definição e Ideação. Os resultados demonstraram que os recursos dispostos nos ambientes correspondem à utilização de representações sígnicas próprias do contexto cultural específico, visíveis através de vocabulário característico, articulação de ícones e cores representativas, estruturadas mediante uma linguagem multimodal. Verificou-se a presença de múltiplos elementos que estabelecem um processo infocomunicacional com significação contextual aos sujeitos LGBTQ+.

This publication concentrates on the people who teach copyright within academic libraries in the United States. The target audience is wide, regardless of formal job positions, and its utility stretches far beyond the core subject. Drug situation and drug combating in China: trends and opportunities to strengthen international cooperation by the example of the SCO

In recent years, the drug situation in China has generally stabilized, and according to official Chinese statistics, the number of drug addicts is reducing. However, China remains one of the key sources of synthetic drugs and precursors to other countries. The spread of narcotic drugs (synthetic opioids, cannabinoids, methamphetamine and others) threatens all countries. An important factor is that the Chinese government is able to control the large number of pharmaceutical manufacturers in the country , thus making it difficult for new types and modifications of drugs and psychoactive substances to appear on the market. In recent years, the PRC leadership has taken a number of effective steps to combat the uncontrolled production and distribution of illegal drugs, in particular, the state tightens control and regulation of the production of synthetic psychoactive drugs. China has strict laws against drug trafficking, which also serve as an effective deterrent against the distribution and consumption of illicit substances. Due to these measures, the international drug business is forced to move laboratories for the production of synthetic drugs from China to other nearby countries such as Myanmar and India. The situation with the international drug trade in the modern world requires concerted action at the interstate level. The interaction between law enforcement agencies of the SCO (the Shanghai Cooperation Organization) member states is a good example of cooperation in this area. One of the priorities of this organization is the fight against drug crime. At this stage, it is necessary to further deepen cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the SCO countries to identify established drug trafficking channels, fight against drug trafficking in the dark web and prevent the emergence of analogues to various psychotropic substances prohibited by law.

مطالعه کتابسنجی و تحلیل شبکه هم‌نویسندگی و خوشه‌های موضوعی پژوهش‌های هستان‌شناسی

هدف: این پژوهش با هدف تحلیل کتاب‌سنجی و شبکه هم‌نویسندگی و خوشه‌های موضوعی پژوهش‌های هستان‌شناسی در پایگاه اطلاعاتی اسکوپوس انجام شد.روش‌شناسی: پژوهش حاضر از نوع کاربردی است که با رویکرد علم‌سنجی و با روش‌های کتابخانه‌ای، تحلیل هم‌رخدادی واژگان و تکنیک تحلیل شبکه‌ای به انجام رسیده است. جامعه آماری پژوهش را تعداد 5226 مقاله علمی حوزه هستان‌شناسی تشکیل می‌دهند که از سال 1996 تا سال 2020  منتشر شده و در پایگاه اسکوپوس نمایه شده است. برای تحلیل داده‌ها به فراخور هدف از نرم‌افزارهای Excel، VOSviewer، Pajek و UCINet استفاده شد.                      یافته‌ها: یافته‌ها حاکی از آن است که بیشترین همکاری در تولید پژوهش‌های هستان‌شناسی توسط کشورهای چین، آمریکا و بریتانیا بوده است.  Rafael Valencia-Garciaو دانشگاه Zhejiang بیشترین تولیدات علمی را در بخش نویسندگان و دانشگاه‌ها به خود اختصاص داده‌اند. حوزه علوم کامپیوتر بیشترین سهم را در تولیدات علمی داشته است.                      نتیجه‌گیری: در مطالعه شبکه هم‌واژگانی حوزه هستان‌شناسی در پایگاه اسکوپوس 5 خوشه موضوعی شناسایی شد که خوشه وب معنایی بزرگ‌ترین خوشه است.

Geographic Routing Scheme for Resource and Communication Efficiency in the IoT Ecosystem using Swarm-Intelligence based BFO Algorithm

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are the sensor nodes that are generally interconnected and these nodes communicate wirelessly to collect the data from the environment around them. Sensor nodes are low-powered and distributed in a decentralized ADHOC manner. WSNs setup comes with some limitations such as energy constraints and the cooperative demands essential to perform multi-hop geographic routing for Internet of things (IoT) applications. Quality of Service (QoS) depends to a great extent on offering participating nodes an incentive for collaborating. The real-time applications of WSNs have potential design limitations such as energy and other QoS constraints in the context of IoT. This work formulates two different re-transmission strategies for optimized cross-layer design and also integrates the framework with a swarm intelligence technique assisted Bacteria Foraging Optimization (BFO) for efficient Cluster Head (CH) selection. The proposed work designs analytical modelling to realize the formulated concept and also simulates the computational design in a numerical computing tool. Finally, an extensive simulation is carried out using the MATLAB simulation tool. The obtained results show the effectiveness of the proposed system in terms of delay is reduced by 12%, throughput is increased to 10%, remaining energy of the network is increased to 11%, and packet delivery ratio of the proposed work in increased to 7-9% in comparison with the existing system.

Citizen science. One of the eight pillars of open science identified by the European Union

Although it is not a new phenomenon, citizen science is a form of collaborative research whose importance has grown in recent years. There is no single definition of citizen science and although this is the prevailing expression, activities are often referred to by other terms. However, the various terms used emphasize the key element, which is the voluntary participation of non-expert citizens in scientific research. Citizen science encompasses a wide range of activities and practices that can cover the entire life cycle of a research, from data collection to publication of results, and even evaluation.  The first part of the article briefly traces the history of citizen science, highlighting the implications of the different facets through which it is defined. Then, it gives an overview of the state of the art, the initiatives, guidelines and good practices, the open issues, and the most representative institutions and organizations. A series of data are also provided regarding its dissemination, and reflections on the impact of this form of research on the scientific community and society, as well as on specific aspects related to open science and sustainable development. Finally, the article focuses on the role of university libraries and public libraries for citizen science.

Information Extraction From FDA Drug Labeling to Enhance Product-Specific Guidance Assessment Using Natural Language Processing

Towards the objectives of the UnitedStates Food and Drug Administration (FDA) generic drug science and research program, it is of vital importance in developing product-specific guidances (PSGs) with recommendations that can facilitate and guide generic product development. To generate a PSG, the assessor needs to retrieve supportive information about the drug product of interest, including from the drug labeling, which contain comprehensive information about drug products and instructions to physicians on how to use the products for treatment. Currently, although there are many drug labeling data resources, none of them including those developed by the FDA (e.g., Drugs@FDA) can cover all the FDA-approved drug products. Furthermore, these resources, housed in various locations, are often in forms that are not compatible or interoperable with each other. Therefore, there is a great demand for retrieving useful information from a large number of textual documents from different data resources to support an effective PSG development. To meet the needs, we developed a Natural Language Processing (NLP) pipeline by integrating multiple disparate publicly available data resources to extract drug product information with minimal human intervention. We provided a case study for identifying food effect information to illustrate how a machine learning model is employed to achieve accurate paragraph labeling. We showed that the pre-trained Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) model is able to outperform the traditional machine learning techniques, setting a new state-of-the-art for labelling food effect paragraphs from drug labeling and approved drug products datasets.

Current Trends in the Development of Library Internet Representation (the Library of Congress Experience)

The article summarizes the modern foreign experience in performing Internet representation in the information and communication space using the case of the Library of Congress. The study found that libraries need to focus on an interactive media environment using a variety of communication channels. Prospects for the development of Internet representation in the information and communication space are identified. Today, one of the library effective communication channels could be a portal that fills the interactive space with information that quickly circulates through the information flows of the network.The most important in presenting the Library of Congress on the portal is the presentation of the library products to enable users to get a sense of the Library of Congress, the presentation covers the history of the library, demonstrates its talented staff, and promotes the use of resources of the world’s largest library. The Library of Congress pays special attention to the issue of copyright. On the library portal one can find a variety of materials on copyright, in particular: the use of information from the library portal; privacy policies of users of the portal and collections; library websites, services and applications; commenting and publishing policies, etc. Importantly, the library offers access to the National Library Service for the Blind and Visually Impaired (NLS) website, which helps fulfill the mission of providing free Braille library services and books for people with temporary or permanent disabilities. low vision, blindness or disability.

بررسی وضعیت تولید علم ایران در نمایه استنادی علوم پس از انقلاب اسلامی (1980-2016) و عملکرد آن در عرصه علم جهانی

هدف: هدف از این پژوهش بررسی وضعیت تولید علم ایران در حوزه علوم طی سال‌ها پس از انقلاب اسلامی و مقایسه آن با وضعیت تولید علم جهان، همچنین تعیین سهم ایران از تولید علم جهان در حوزه علوم و هر یک از رشته‌های زیرمجموعه آن (شاخه‌های 22گانه علوم) در کشور در همین مدت است. روش‌شناسی: این پژوهش از نوع کاربردی علم‌سنجی است. جامعه مورد پژوهش شامل کلیه تولیدات علمی نمایه‌شدة ایران و جهان در نمایه استنادی علوم (SCI) در سال‌های 2016-1980 بوده است. تعداد کل تولیدات علمی ایران در حوزه علوم طی دوره مورد مطالعه 267626 مدرک و تعداد کل تولیدات علمی جهان در همین مدت به میزان 40297747 مدرک است که به شیوه سرشماری تمامی آنها مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند.     یافته‌ها: نتایج بررسی شاخص  Yiکه به وضعیت شاخه‌های مختلف علوم در یک کشور می‌پردازد نشان داد که به‌ترتیب شاخه‌های شیمی (با 95.‌‌‌‌16 درصد کل تولید علم ایران)، پزشکی بالینی (با 84.‌‌‌‌14 درصد کل تولید علم ایران)، مهندسی (با 80.‌‌‌‌12 درصد کل تولید علم ایران)، فیزیک (با 7.‌‌‌‌8 درصد کل تولید علم ایران) و علوم مواد (با 20.‌‌‌‌7 درصد کل تولید علم ایران) در بین شاخه‌های 22گانه عملکرد بهتری نسبت به دیگر شاخه‌ها داشته‌اند و این 5 شاخه بیشترین سهم را از تولید علم ایران به خود اختصاص داده‌اند. شاخص Xi که به بررسی وضعیت سهم یک کشور از تولید علم جهان در هر یک از شاخه‌های مختلف علوم می‌پردازد نیز نشان داد که به‌ترتیب شاخه ریاضیات (66.‌‌‌‌0 درصد)، مهندسی (63.‌‌‌‌0 درصد)، شیمی (57.‌‌‌‌0 درصد) و علوم کشاورزی (53.‌‌‌‌0 درصد) بالای 50.‌‌‌‌0 درصد بوده و در سایر حوزه‌ها کمتر از 50.‌‌‌‌0 درصد بوده است. نتایج شاخص فقر علمی (Sx) که برای محاسبه عملکرد نسبی کشورها با توجه به درصد جمعیت آن کشور از کل جمعیت جهان به کار می‌رود نشان داد که در سال‌های 1980-2009 وضعیت ایران در تک‌تک شاخه‌های موضوعی بیست و دوگانه زیر خط فقر علمی (زیر یک درصد) بوده است؛ اما از سال 2009 به بعد به بالای 1 درصد رسیده و درواقع بالای خط فقر علمی قرار گرفته است و حتی در برخی حوزه‌ها به بالای 2 درصد رسیده است. بررسی این شاخص در تمام حوزه‌ها در کشور از سال 1980 -2016 نیز نشان داد که این شاخص از 19.‌‌‌‌1 درصد در سال 2009 به حدود 2 درصد (99.‌‌‌‌1 درصد) در سال 2016 رسیده است. نتیجه‌گیری: به نظر می‌رسد به دلیل ماهیت و مزایای اشتراک‌گذاری داده‌های پژوهشی در تولید علم و توجه جوامع علمی به این پدیده، در آینده‌ای نزدیک شاهد تمایل بیشتر پژوهشگران و جوامع علمی به اشتراک‌گذاری داده‌های پژوهشی در جهان و توجه بیشتر به الزامات فنی، فرهنگی و ساختاری مورد نیاز توسط ذی‌نفعان این حوزه باشیم.

Using mobile learning in development of scientific skills for Al Baha University students. 2

This study was designed to investigate the effect of using SMS via M-Learning and sending instructional materials on student’s academic achievement in Bloom’s three cognitive levels (remembering, understanding and applying), as well as measuring student’s practical skills during the learning process of a course called Designing Instructional Software. The course is taught to the Faculty of Education Students at Al-Baha University. The present study adopted the experimental method in order to test the effect of the independent variable on the dependent one. With a sample from Al-Baha University comprised 30 students divided into two groups; one was the experimental group (15 students) and the other was the control group (15 students, the researcher conducted the study. Achievement and skill performance were measured using an achievement test and observation card. The data and scores from these tools were collected, Measurements and statistical computation were done using t-test, and Cronbach's Alfa. The results and findings of the study revealed some significant differences between the experimental group and control group. There was a significant difference between the mean scores of the control and experimental groups at level 0.05 on the total achievement test (recall، understanding and application) in favor of the experimental group students. In the light of results of the present study، the following recommendations may be given. The study may recommend adopting and implementing M- Learning Applications in learning and instruction، a form that benefits the instructional process. Further more، the study recommending building M-learning environment . Also، these shoaled be training courses for staff to assist them designing and developing these systems of learning. Moreover، local conferences should be held in order to distribute the literacy of M- learning in our educational organizations. Finally، more research and studies should be conducted in the field of mobile technology and learning.

Coordenadores de comunidades de repositórios institucionais: o caso do repositórium<p>Coordinators of institutional repositories communities: the repositórium case

O Movimento do Acesso Livre – Open Access Movement (OAM) – foi estimulado por dois eventos importantes: a evolução das TIC, processo facilitador da disseminação e acessibilidade à informação, e os elevados custos das publicações científicas impressas, face a contextos de maiores constrangimentos financeiros da instituições de ensino superior e de investigação. Os Repositórios Institucionais (RI) são um dos elementos fundamentais do OAM e encontram-se em processo de expansão. Este texto reporta-se a um estudo focado nos coordenadores de comunidades do repositório institucional da Universidade do Minho tendo por objectivos a identificação do perfil dos coordenadores e a identificação de práticas de estímulo ao depósito ao nível das diferentes comunidades. A metodologia de investigação adoptada consistiu num levantamento (survey) através de um questionário online. Os dados recolhidos apontam para o reconhecimento, por parte dos coordenadores, das vantagens associadas ao depósito em RI, mas identificam também casos de desconhecimento do OAM e de baixo nível de auto-arquivamento por parte de alguns coordenadores de comunidades. São identificadas como principais iniciativas ao nível das políticas de estímulo ao depósito, por parte das várias comunidades, a “obrigatoriedade do depósito” e práticas de “apoio mediado”. A análise dos dados recolhidos conduziu-nos a um conjunto de reflexões que entendemos poderem ser aplicadas ao caso do RepositóriUM, mas também constituir uma orientação para outros RI em desenvolvimento.<p>

高校合併後圖書館的現狀分析及在學院管理模式下的應對舉措 Analysis on University Libraries after Colleges Incorporated and Its Impact of the New Management Model)

1992-2002年期間,我國共有700餘所普通和成人類的高校參加了這一期間的高校大合併,高校圖書館作為高校的重要資產也參加了這場合併與重組。本文根據相關資料簡要分析一下高校合併後的圖書館現狀及在高校學院管理模式下的應對舉措。<br>During the period of 1992-2002, more than 700 colleges had been incorporated in China. At the same time, the university libraries also had been incorporated. This article is to analysis on the university libraries after colleges have been incorporated and what the university libraries ought to do under the mode of school management.
