Just like in Java there is Kiai, in Sunda there is ajengan, in Sumatra there is buya, in Aceh there is teungku, in Madura there is bindara, and in the Nusa Tenggara region there is Tuan Guru Besar, abbreviated as TGB. He has contributions and thoughts in the educational aspect to guide the elderly and children. This article aims to find out the contributions and thoughts of TGH Muhammad Najmuddin Makmun. This research uses historical research methods which have four stages, namely, heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. In this research, the results can be obtained that, TGH Muhammad Najmuddin Makmun was a scholar who was born in 1920 M and had studied in Mecca for several years with teachers there. In terms of his leadership, he is wise, charismatic, simple and does not differentiate between the social strata of society and the students he teaches, prioritizing equality. TGH Muhammad Najmuddin Makmun educational thought is to improve and increase the existence of Islamic teachings, by referring to the teachings of monotheism education so that it can be used as a process of formation or guidance based on the Islamic religion, so that students are able to carry out their humanitarian duties as well as possible and adhere firmly to strong faith and intentions. In his contribution, he put it into educating the community, both children and the elderly. Through thoriqot establishments to educate the elderly, as well as Islamic boarding schools to educate children.

Learning virtual communities and dialogical interaction: on bodiless presenciality

E-learning, in Brazil, has been recently involved in some questioning about how necessary it is to consider obligatory presential classes as a supplement to distance education. It has been implicitly assumed in this questioning that presential classes help preserving educational quality. Thus, it has influenced Brazilian public policies for distance education. This article asks whether a body present in classroom guarantees more than the sole presence of that body and what a presential class guarantees that a virtual class does not. Answers to this question consider that there is a bodiless presentiality due to dialogical interaction.

La ontología del mundo material de Tomás de Aquino según Jeffrey E. Brower

El artículo analiza críticamente la propuesta contenida en el libro Aquinas’s Ontology of the Material World. Change, Hylomorphism, and Material Objects de Jeffrey E. Brower. Se sintetizan algunos de los puntos principales de la obra ero, particularmente, se evalúa el núcleo de su propuesta, consistente en poner en diálogo las ideas tomasinas acerca del mundo natural con las propuestas de la ontología contemporánea. Se evidencia que, más allá de las intenciones, el autor no consigue cumplir con lo proyectado en tanto parece ejercer en algunos puntos cierta violencia interpretativa contra conceptos centrales de la filosofía del Aquinate. Se concluye que dicha violencia es consecuencia de pretender circunscribir tales conceptos dentro de un contexto epistemológico radicalmente distinto como es el de la ontología contemporánea.

The bad company objection and the extensionality of Frege’s logic

Segundo a objeção da Má Companhia, o fato de que a infame Lei Básica V de Frege proporciona o padrão de definição geral dos princípios de abstração superior é uma boa razão para duvidar da validade deste tipo de definições. Neste artigo, eu argumento contra esta objeção, mostrando que o padrão de definição dos princípios de abstração — como extrapolados a partir do §64 do Grunlagen de Frege — inclui um requisito adicional (que denomino como a condição de especificidade) que não é satisfeito pela Lei Básica V, embora seja satisfeito por outras abstrações de ordem superior, tal como o Princípio de Hume. Mostro também que a falha deste requisito adicional no caso da Lei Básica V é engendrada por uma característica essencial da concepção de Frege da lógica, e que, assim, o próprio Frege não deveria ter tomado a Lei Básica V como uma definição por abstração.

STRATEGI KEPALA SEKOLAH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DALAM MENGHADAPI UN DI SMP NEGERI 4 YOGYAKARTA

Tujuan dari penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui strategi kepala SMP Negeri 4 Yogyakarta guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam menghadapi Ujian Nasional (UN) setelah dua tahun mengalami penurunan. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk strategi kepala sekolah, faktor pendukung dan penghambat serta implikasi. Bentuk strategi kepala sekolah, di antaranya: (1) kerjasama dengan wali siswa, guru dan kepala sekolah; (2) kegiatan training motivasi; (3) inovasi pembelajaran; (4) menjadi leader, supervisor dan manajer; dan (5) menganjurkan siswa memiliki buku referensi belajar. Faktor pendukung dan penghambat berasal dari kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, wali siswa dan lingkungan. Hasil dari implikasi strategi kepala sekolah, yaitu: (1) motivasi siswa mengikuti bimbingan belajar bertambah, (2) siswa menjadi aktif di dalam kelas, (3) motivasi belajar siswa meningkat; dan (4) hasil UN lebih baik dari tahun sebelumnya.

Religious teaching of Elena Ivanovna Molokhovets and orthodox tradition

The topic of this article is the correlation of Orthodox tradition and spiritualism in the Russian culture of the last third of the 19th — early 20th centuries. The object of the study are materials pertaining to the spiritualistic activity of Elena Ivanovna Molokhovets. The aim of the study is to reconstruct the main events of the spiritualistic activity of Molokhovets, to reveal the sources and means by which she was creating her religious doctrine, and to demonstrate the main aspects of this doctrine. The article also aims to show the dependence of this dosctine upon the Orthodox cultural context and prove through this example the main thesis about the decisive role of Orthodoxy in assimilating spiritualism as a cultural phenomenon on the Russian soil. The article proposes the following main ideas: the religious doctrine of Molokhovets had been shaped by the early 1880s; the most important sources of her doctrine are specific hermeneutics of the sacred texts and Orthodox liturgy, messages received by the medium E.F. Tyminskaya, as well as “dreams” and “visions” of Molokhovets; the topics of her doctrine reveal the desire of Molokhovets to show the unity of all possible extremities, above all of science and faith, and to get rid of the confl ict between science and religion, characteristic of the latter half of the 19th century.

La dimensión temporal de la Befindlichkeit y la experiencia afectiva de la Zeitlichkeit en Sein und Zeit

A través de la analítica existenciaria de Sein und Zeit, se busca establecer, mediante el análisis de la Befindlichkeit en tanto que modo esencial de apertura del Dasein, la cooriginariedad entre Verstehen y Befindlichkeit, así como prestar una especial atención a la angustia (Angst), y la posibilidad de pensar una experiencia afectiva -como apertura directa y preteórica- de la Zeitlichkeit, el sentido temporal del ser del Dasein. Para ello, será necesario analizar tanto la dimensión temporal de la Befindlichkeit, como el papel fundamental de la angustia en su hacer patente la muerte, el cuidado y, con ello, la resolución precursora del Dasein. Así, alcanzaremos a ver cómo la Zeitlichkeit sólo es abierta, en el proyecto propio de Sein und Zeit, bajo la forma de una experiencia fundamental de carácter afectivo, esto es, mediante la Grundbefindlichkeit de la angustia.

The Scope of Corrective Justice in Aristotle’s Ethics

The task of corrective justice in Aristotle’s ethics is the rectification of harms or injuries resulting from voluntary or involuntary interactions between persons. However, the scope of this form of justice is not clear. In its widest conception it would include all harms done to a person against her will and without her fault. According to a narrower conception, instead, it is only an injury caused by an unjust or wrongful action that requires compensation. But in fact Aristotle distinguishes several concepts of unjust action. As a result, the narrower conception appears in various versions which are discussed in this paper.
