Intercultural skills have become essential for functioning in contemporary society, where daily interaction with members of diverse cultures and adaptation to different cultural environments are increasingly necessary. Integration into such environments requires the development of new forms of behavior and approaches. Core values such as openness to diversity and strong communication skills have become key factors for functioning in these social conditions, and should be encouraged from an early age. An upbringing that enables children to participate in multicultural communities significantly contributes not only to their personal development but also to the improvement of society as a whole. The ability to develop intercultural competences helps individuals navigate relationships within various ethnic, religious, and national groups, which is crucial for the overall progress of society. This paper analyzes how primary school students assess their own intercultural competences, taking into account the location of the school they attend. Data were collected using a self-assessment scale for intercultural competences. The results of the study indicate statistically significant differences in self-assessment, favoring students attending urban schools. These findings open avenues for further research to better understand the underlying causes of these differences.

This article examines an intellectual debate between N.I. Kareev and L.Z. Slonimsky, which unfolded in Russian journals in 1883, following the publication of N.I. Kareev’s monograph “Key Issues in the Philosophy of History” based on his doctoral dissertation, which introduced his original but controversial perspective of the hierarchy of sciences, the nature of the laws of history, and the “progress” formula. New, previously unexplored anthropological contexts of the polemical exchange between the two scholars are explored that help uncover the reasons behind the sharp differences in how they understood the structure of the historical process and the place of the human being in it. The results show that, with respect to the idea and theory of the nation perceived as the central theoretical components of intellectual pursuits at that time, N.I. Kareev and L.Z. Slonimsky’s views reflect their fundamentally different personal experiences, as well as the alternative analytical and rhetorical traditions they accepted. Because they pursued different goals in their theorizing, their reasonings developed at different levels of meta-reflection.

Abstract This systematic review examined the association between students’ digital cultural and social capital and their learning outcomes, focusing on the characteristics, related factors, and impact of their digital cultural and social capital. Through a literature search process using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, 21 studies were identified for inclusion in the review. We found that digital cultural and social capital provides a useful theoretical basis for understanding the underlying effects of the digital divide on student development. Results of the review allow us to propose operational definitions of digital cultural and social capital, as well as refine our conceptualization of these forms of capital, including their roles in the reproduction of educational inequalities. Lastly, strategies that could be implemented by schools, parents, and other stakeholders in educational systems to bolster students’ digital cultural and social capital are suggested.

Abstract Using the Intimate Partner Behaviour Control Scale, the Autonomy Needs Questionnaire, the Intimacy Quality Questionnaire, and the Chinese version of the Brief Barratt Impulsiveness Scale, we conducted a survey of 416 college students (204 males and 212 females) with a mean age of 24.99 (SD = 7.94) years. The aim of this research was to explore the relationship between intimate partner behaviour control and impulsivity with a focus on the roles of autonomy needs satisfaction and intimacy quality in the context of college students in romantic relationships. The findings indicated that (1) intimate partner behaviour control significantly and positively predicts impulsivity among college students; (2) autonomy needs satisfaction plays a mediating role in the relationship between intimate partner behaviour control and impulsivity among college students; (3) intimacy quality also plays a mediating role in the relationship between intimate partner behaviour control and impulsivity among college students; (4) autonomy needs satisfaction and intimacy quality jointly play a chain mediating role in the relationship between intimate partner behaviour control and impulsivity among college students. These results highlight the close relationship between intimate partner behaviour control and impulsivity, in which context autonomy needs and intimacy quality play a vital role. The findings of this research offer practical insights for mental health practitioners with regard to preventing and intervening in impulsive behaviour among college students as well as guidance for policy plans that aim to promote healthy relationships and prevent intimate partner violence.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the extent to which educational goals of teaching Math are achieved from the perspective of elementary school teachers in the city of Qom. This research is qualitative in approach, practical in purpose and descriptive in nature. 30 participants were selected using the purposive sampling method considering the theoretical saturation rule. The data collection tools were a researcher-made questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed and coded using MAXQDA10 software. The results obtained from the participants' opinions and data analysis show that some educational and training objectives, such as understanding the concept of numbers and mathematical calculations, curiosity, problem-solving, and differences in students' interests and talents, have been addressed in the content of Math education as well as teachers' teaching methods. However, less attention has been paid to such educational goals as the effectiveness of Math education with the needs of society, fostering imagination, critical examination, discovering order and accuracy in the world, moral and spiritual growth, and utilizing the ideas of mathematicians. Participants also addressed the existing problems in Math education, the competence and professional development of teachers, and the use of digital facilities as mentioned in the text.

Resumo A recuperação de informação é uma área de estudo nativa da ciência da computação, cujo termo foi criado somente em 1951. No entanto, por mais de 5 mil anos, a humanidade vem organizando a informação para sua busca e recuperação. Com o advento dos computadores, o termo que era de interesse apenas de bibliotecários teve seu desenvolvimento acelerado. Desafios atuais envolvendo novos dispositivos e fenômenos, como o Big Data, continuam incitando estudos na área para promover aos usuários o acesso às informações. Este artigo tem o objetivo de identificar a produção acadêmico-científica brasileira sobre a recuperação de informação na ciência da informação nos últimos 10 anos. A Pesquisa é descritiva e exploratória, com abordagem quali-quantitativa, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa na Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações no período de 2012 a 2021. Foram selecionados 69 documentos, categorizados em 27 temáticas. A maior frequência de documentos foi observada para as seguintes temáticas: estudo de usuários, mecanismos de busca, representação da informação, modelo de recuperação e representação temática. Observou-se que as temáticas mais recentes são apresentadas a partir de 2016, e que o maior número de trabalhos está vinculado à Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. No contexto da Ciência da Informação, a recuperação de informação tem forte ligação com a organização e a representação da informação e compõem uma relação quase que indissociável. O estudo é um aporte para novos pesquisadores, contribuindo para publicizar as contribuições existentes e instigando novas reflexões sobre a recuperação de Informação na Ciência da Informação.

The notion of $n$-ary algebras, that is vector spaces with a multiplication concerning $n$-arguments, $n \geq 3$, became fundamental since the works of Nambu. Here we first present general notions concerning $n$-ary algebras and associative $n$-ary algebras. Then we will be interested in the notion of $n$-Lie algebras, initiated by Filippov, and which is attached to the Nambu algebras. We study the particular case of nilpotent or filiform $n$-Lie algebras to obtain a beginning of classification. This notion of $n$-Lie algebra admits a natural generalization in Strong Homotopy $n$-Lie algebras in which the Maurer Cartan calculus is well adapted.

Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar a gênese do Lar da Criança Santo Estevão, localizado na cidade de Bagé/RS. O lar foi criado no ano de 1970 com o intuito de atender crianças em situação de vulnerabilidade social, considerando que no período em questão existiam poucas creches no município e uma demanda reprimida com esse perfil. O Lar foi idealizado por pessoas que faziam parte da comunidade bajeense e contava com a participação e contribuição financeira da comunidade como um todo, realizavam diversas campanhas com intuito de arrecadar verbas para manter a instituição. Na coleta de dados da presente pesquisa foram utilizados diversos instrumentos, dentre eles destaca-se as entrevistas com pessoas que participaram do cotidiano da instituição; extratos de jornais que tratavam do lar e foram publicados na imprensa local e o livro de atas da instituição. Conclui-se, com a análise documental, que a comunidade assume para si a preocupação em manter o lar nas décadas de 1970 a 1980 e vai deixando de fazê-lo quando as políticas municipais começam a estabelecer iniciativas mais consistentes para infância.

The article is devoted to the 5th anniversary of the electronic version of the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine (EMU) on the Internet (website: esu.com.ua). The study reveals the functions performed by the EMU can be better implemented due to its online version. These include accumulating of nationally relevant knowledge (about Ukraine, Ukrainians, Ukrainian phenomena and realities) and disseminating it in society, playing an important educational role, fostering patriotic feelings among Ukrainians based of this knowledge, understanding of national ideas, self-identifying, etc. The EMU website has high traffic, search engine positioning (Google), therefore, provides access to encyclopedic knowledge of a much larger audience than a printed version of this encyclopedia. The disadvantages of the online version of ESU are also highlighted. First of all, the words in the text are shortened like in paper encyclopedias, which have a reason to save space on the pages. There is also no English section. Today, English-language versions of the articles would contribute to destruct the stereotypes about Ukraine, its people, language, culture, history, etc., formed by the Soviet picture of the world (Pax Sovietica) as well as supported and deepened by followers of the Russian world (Pax Russica).

تتناول الدراسة محاولةَ الكشف عن وجهٍ من وجوه الإعجاز اللغويِّ في النصِّ القرآنيِّ بتحليله لغويّا، وإظهار تفرّده وكونِه الأعلى بيانا وبلاغة، والأوفر دلالة، والأجمل موسيقى، وذلك بمقارنة ما استُخْدِمَ من أدوات، أو ألفاظ، أو صيغ، أو تراكيب، أو أساليب بغيرها، ومناسبة ارتباطها بالسياق، فالنصّ القرآنيّ نصٌّ لا يُعلى عليه، وإنَّما حُفظت اللغة العربيّة بوساطته. وقد تكمن وسيلة الكشف عن بلاغة الهوامش الدلاليَّة المختلفة لما استُخْدِمَ فيه من ألفاظ، أو أدوات، أو صيغ، أو تراكيب وعدم استخدام غيرها ومناسبة ذلك للسياق من خلال استبدال الألفاظ بمرادفاتها، أو ما يقترب منها وفق المستويات اللغويّة المتعدّدة: الصوتيّة، والمعجميّة، والصرفيّة، والنحويّة، والدلاليّة، فالنظر في دلالات الألفاظ المستخدمة، ومرادفاتها، وصيغها فضلا عن إجراء الموازنات بين الألفاظ المترادفة، أو المتقاربة في المعنى يؤكد عدم وجود الترادف في القرآن الكريم وإن وُجِدَ في معجمات اللغة العربيّة، فلكلِّ لفظة، اسما كانت، أم فعلا، أم حرفا هالة دلاليّة تختلف عن غيرها، يلحظ تميِّزُ ورودها بهذا الشكل دون غيره ابتداء بالمستوى (الصوتيّ) الذي يتناول الأصوات وصفاتها والمقطع الصوتيّ، ومن بعد المستوى (المعجميّ) الذي يتناول دلالة الألفاظ، ويضعه بعض الدارسين تحت المستوى الدلاليّ، وهو أكثر المستويات تأثرا بتغيّر الأصوات، ففيه تتغيَّر الأصوات بتغيّر فونيم أو أكثر من فونيمات ألفاظ المترادفات الأخرى، مرورا بالمستوى (الصرفيّ) الذي تتغيّر فيه صيغ الألفاظ من خلال الإفراد، أو التثنية، أو الجمع، أو التذكير، أو التأنيث، أو التجريد، أو الزيادة، أو التعريف، أو الزمن، أو غيرها، فتتنوّع الفروقات، و تتعدّد معاني الصيغ والمشتقات التي تتغيَّر فيها الأصوات زيادة، أو نقصانا، أو تبديلا، وانتهاء بالمستوى (النحويّ) وفيه يُلفت النظر إلى تراكيب الجمل، أو الأساليب النحويّة.

In Italy, and in particular in Venice, August von Platen Hallermünde spent long periods and wrote a large number of works. In 1825 he published the Sonette aus Venedig (Sonetti Veneziani) in Erlangen. The first part of the paper provides a general introduction to the relations between Platen and Italy and summarizes the «complicated» genesis of this poetical cycle. The second part focuses in more details on a linguistic and rhetorical analysis of the sequence’s first sonnet. Finally, the third part proposes a reflection on possible similarities between the narrative structure of Platen’s sonnets and Thomas Mann’s Death in Venice.

Reviewing and criticizing theories of economic growth can help researchers choose the main factors affecting economic growth rate. In this research, the effect of the resilience index on economic growth in Iran has been evaluated by reviewing and criticizing the growth ideas and examining the factors affecting them. Research findings have confirmed the positive impact of this index on Iran's economic growth. The implementation of various scenarios showed that after the occurrence of shocks, the simulated economic growth had a consistent and upward trend. Implementing effective financial, currency, and monetary policies to reduce the misery rate, narrowing the scope of government activities, reducing the ratio of budget deficit to the GDP, and making reforms to the administrative and judicial infrastructure of the country are some of the suggestions that could pave the way for the promotion of economic resilience and strengthening the economic growth of Iran.

This article intends to reflect on object and method in linguistic studies considering the Saussurean point of view. The starting point will be phonic aspect of language, given the importance this reflection has in the initial outlines by the then young linguist Ferdinand de Saussure. We will use two works to do this: Course in General Linguistics, a work regarded as a framework for linguistics, and the Phonétique manuscript, written by the Genevan between 1883-1884 and made public in its entirety for the first time in 1995, by Maria Pia Marchese. Thus, we will address fundamental questions of Saussure's theoretical construction, which go through the problem of linguistic unity – its delimitations and method by which they must be defined. This will lead us to highlight the complexity with which Saussure detailed the differences between what would be the phonetic and phonological point of view to his contemporaries and his own conception of a "Phonétique", starting from the concreteness of discourse and anchored in the abstraction of the linguistic system. --- DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22409/gragoata.2017n44a999
