et al.
IntroductionHuman Papillomavirus is a sexually transmitted agent, causing cervical cancer. In Saudi Arabia, cervical cancer is ranked as the ninth most common carcinoma in women. HPV vaccine is an effective prevention method against HPV high-risk types such as HPV 18 and 16. Research on HPV vaccine knowledge and awareness is limited due to the lack of extensive data reportage on HPV and cervical cancer cases among Saudi women.AimThis study was aimed to determine the knowledge and awareness of human papillomavirus vaccination among Saudi nursing female students.MethodsThis study was cross-sectional and included (n = 114) participants. The study used an online survey, which included demographical variables and the HPV knowledge scale. The data were collected from October 10, 2023, until January 3, 2024. Descriptive data, Mann-Whitney Z-tests and nonparametric tests were used to analyze the study's findings.ResultsThe study participants’ mean age was 20.8 years (SD 1.6). Most students (72%) did not receive the HPV vaccine. The overall mean HPV knowledge was 10.0 (SD 7.08). The HPV knowledge subscales showed poor levels of knowledge of HPV infection, screening, and vaccines: 5.15 (SD 3.87), 1.39 (SD 1.34), and 2.06 (SD 1.87), respectively.DiscussionIn conclusion, Saudi Arabia having a predominantly youthful population, it is crucial to implement educational programs that improve the understanding and awareness of HPV infection among nursing students and other health professionals. There is a necessity to establish impactful awareness campaigns and integrate interventional research to inform health professionals and the public about the disease and dispel misunderstandings and cultural beliefs about HPV and HPV vaccines to prevent cervical cancers among young females.

Interseksionele feminisme in Afrikaanse poësie: Lynthia Julius se Uit die kroes
Hennely Nel
In the current transnational discourse on fourth-wave feminism, “intersectional feminism” is a fundamental concept. The representation of marginalised voices of especially Black women from underrepresented contexts, such as the Global South, is emphasised in an attempt to decolonise the formal domains of literature, academia and the media. Historically, there is a gap in the representation of diverse Black female voices in South African literatures. However, there has recently been an increase in the publication of the literary texts by previously marginalised voices, especially in Afrikaans poetry. Diverse perspectives are shared regarding the complexities of the intersection of identity categories including race, gender, culture, identity, class, language and socioeconomic status in South African society, and how it affects the previously marginalised. A voice that represents intersectional feminist issues in the South African and Afrikaans contexts can be found in Lynthia Julius’s debut poetry book, Uit die kroes (From the kroes, 2020). In this article, the significance of Julius’s unique, intersectional feminist viewpoint, with stories and perspectives from the Northern Cape, is investigated. The focus is specifically on how Julius represents a ‘triple marginalised’ voice in the South African and Afrikaans contexts with regard to her gender, race and language. Furthermore, I will discuss how the uniqueness of her collection of poems and Northern Cape Afrikaans, that have rarely been provided with a platform in the Afrikaans literary canon, contribute to giving a voice to the historic ‘voiceless’. The importance of Julius’s voice and how it highlights the heterogeneity of previously marginalised groups in South Africa, are also explored. In conclusion it is argued that the publication of poets with diverse intersectional feminist perspectives, such as Julius, can be deemed a positive step in the direction of the decolonising process of the Afrikaans literature and feminism.

Phenomenology of the Quality of Married Life of a Married Child with the Approach of Child Abuse and Ways to Deal it
fatemeh Saberi, samineh bahadori jahromi, Leila Saberi
Child marriage is a socio-cultural phenomenon that affects the lives of girls in some parts of the country and leads to many personal and social problems and damages. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to investigate the marital experiences of children in marriage in women living in Shiraz city in Fars province. Purposive sampling was done through snowball method with 10 women in-depth interviews. The text of the interviews was analyzed using theoretical coding method. The findings of the research, which are the results of interviews, include causal conditions (gender stereotypes, lack of choice of spouse, lack of awareness), background conditions (lack of sexual readiness, passive agency) and intervention conditions (emotional entanglement, role weakness, interaction tension generator) that the category of marital impotence emerged as the main phenomenon. The results show that marrying at a young age makes women face powerlessness in the personal and interactive field of marital relations. Their action against the problem of powerlessness occurs in the form of concealment, divorce, adaptation and forced silence. Among its consequences, we can mention marital boredom, dissatisfaction with life, frustration, social isolation and emotional divorce.

Casa e trabalho: tensões e arranjos no cotidiano de trabalhadoras domésticas
Marta Valeriano, Tania Ludmila Dias Tosta, Jordão Horta Nunes
Reporting Strategy and Gender Perspective in Chinese Media Coverage of COVID-19 News
Yi Yang, Xunqian Liu
This article examines the reporting strategy and gender perspective in Chinese media coverage of COVID-19 news. The article employs a mixed-method approach to analyze news reports, using quantitative statistics and qualitative semantic materials that complement each other. The study found that the media construct a stereotypical image of female healthcare workers absent from public participation. Media reports on the actual number of female healthcare workers involved in treating COVID-19 patients are lower than those about men. Reports focusing exclusively on female staff tend to focus on their private affairs, that is, on their non-professional identities and characteristics, and show an excessive gaze on the female body. To understand this phenomenon prevailing in Chinese media, it is necessary to highlight the predicament of Chinese women in society as well as acknowledge the work of contemporary Chinese feminism in raising awareness on Chinese women’s experiences.

Refleksi Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga dalam Cerita Rakyat Bali Tuwung Kuning: Analisis Feminisme
I Nyoman Suaka
The purpose of this article is to examine Tuwung Kuning (Yellow Egg Plant) folklore based on the feminist approach. The object of the study is the drama script and performance Tuwung Kuning recording. Data were analysed with hermeneutic method, namely the interpretation of text both written and audiovisual texts. The results of the study show that the manuscripts and theater express the theme of domestic violence. The female character of the story, Tuwung Kuning, is very weak and in an oppressed conditions. The bullying was carried out by the husband and by environmental conditions of a gambler family. The female character was powerless and oppressed by male-based power of patriarchy, even though in a state of old pregnancy, when giving birth and caring for the child. She was threatened, terrorized and killed. This condition is very contrary to the spirit of feminism that fights for gender equality so that the position of women is equal to men. The change in the fate of this female character is not by herself, but by an angel, as a fortune.

Politics and Scholarship: Feminist academic journals and the production of knowledge
Artemisa Flores Espinola
The aim of this article is to explore the process of publication of six feminist academic journals. The genesis of journals as well as the level of participation of men and women, collaboration and productivity is presented. In this perspective, they are analyzed and compared two groups of academics journals (the first composed of three general feminist journals and the second of three feminist academics journals specialized in philosophy, sociology and psychology). The results show that the historical context and the political commitment of journals explain the differences and similarities between them and between the two groups of magazines. While the participation of men is a minority in every magazine, it is much higher in general. The collaboration between authors and authors is higher in magazines due to its strong empirical component

El masoquismo ¿una enfermedad literaria?
Guillermo de Eugenio Perez
The main idea of this paper resides in the conception of masochism as a cultural and literary phenomenon, since only in this way becomes possible to give an account of the complexity thatcharacterizes it and their functioning as a form of subjectivation. The issue of masochism, from the viewpoint of its psychological use, consists in its blurred status as clinical term ¿is it descriptive or explicative? In the first case ¿what doesit describes? Not only a behaviour or a reflex reaction to pain, since flagella-tion, as a purely physiological sexual stimulus is something different, called "algolagnia". Masochism constitutes a "disease" of imagination, since its main feature isto describe a fantasy, a literary scene. Sacher-Masoch's novel Venus im Furs became a referent for European maso-chists by exhibiting a voluptuousness linked to a paraphernalia of furs, dogs, horses, knifes and heels. These fantasies were not created, but re-appropriated by him; they were already present in the testimonies of the psychiatrist Krafft-Ebing's patients, in his work Psychopathia Sexualis. Havelock Ellis, Krafft-Ebing, Féré, Freud and Sabine Spielrein developed the idea of sadomasochism as double-sided explicative device, among others. Departing precisely from Sacher-Masoch's novel, the French phi-losopher Gilles Deleuze offered an interpretation of masochism as the oppositeof sadism. Masochism was therefore incompatible with sadism, and not its complementary form. If the analysis of literary language high-lights that the order of sadist literature is that of the institutionalization of abuse, the language of masochism is marked by the sign of the contract and the agreement.
Aurore Le Mat
Sex education has been compulsory in the French school system since 2001. What kind of content is proposed to the pupils and to the sex educators ? This paper analyzes the processes of classification and hierarchical organization of homosexuality and heterosexuality in sex education curricula. There are different kinds of “invisible barriers” (Varikas, 2007) that relegate homosexuals to the status of sexual outcast. At least three points are made to keep homosexuality in this particular place : it is a personal question, it is a matter of specific practices, it is a matter of age (and does not concern children or teenagers). The distinctions between public and private, between the universal and the specific, and between adolescence and adulthood are three kinds of “invisible barriers” that set up an implicit hierarchy of heterosexuality over homosexuality. A fourth kind of barrier appears among the very few representations of homosexuality in the French educational material: lesbians are invisible and remain the ultimate sexual outcast.

Flexibilidad laboral y relaciones de género en Portugal: ambivalencias y perplejidades / Employment flexibility and gender relations in Portugal: ambivalences and perplexities
Sara Falcao Casaca
ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this article is to point out the ambiguous effects of employment flexibility on gender relations, in particular in Portugal. Portuguese women participate massively (and intensively) in the labour market and are better educated than their male counterparts; however, they are over-represented in precarious jobs and in involuntary part-time work, as well as in those occupations located in the peripheral/secondary segment of the labour market, which is characterised by low pay, job insecurity and poor career prospects. The main argument is that, on the one hand, employment flexibility can offer some opportunities, enabling women to participate more actively in the labour market and, in this way, gain greater economic independence; however, on the other hand, it reinforces their condition of subordination and economic dependence and, as a result, may jeopardise their achievement of full citizenship.

This article deals with the use of myth in the novel Dolly City written by Orly Castel-Bloom. More specifically it aims to deepen how this novel is built on the idea of «repetition». This element is easily identifiable in the allusion to the Pygmalion myth redefined by Orly Castel-Bloom as myth of art as repetition instead of representation. Moreover the maternal use of Pygmalion myth allows Orly Castel-Bloom to approach the theme of creation and procreation as cloning, as the golem-shaped character of Son could suggest. Finally, this use of the myth is to be understood in comparison with the definition of «revisionist mythmaking» advanced by Alicia Ostriker.
