VR tourism in war zones, a form of\r\ntourism that involves visiting areas affected by conflict, disaster, or civil unrest, has become a topic of interest\r\nin the context of the war in Ukraine. To investigate the intention to use VR tourism in the war zone, an\r\nintegrated framework was proposed by combining key elements such as interest in VR tourism in the war zone\r\nand the technology acceptance model (TAM). A sample of 121 respondents was collected in January 2021, and\r\nhypotheses were tested using a PLS-SEM model. This research tested a conceptual model that showed that the\r\nintention to use VR tourism in the war zone was influenced by perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and\r\nattitude toward the use of VR tourism in the war zone, all partially or fully mediated by people's interest in VR\r\ntourism in the war zone. Today, the use of technology is a critical factor for more efficient performance. To understand the perception that decision-makers have of information systems’ influence and importance in their organizations, we conduct a case study in Portugal. The objective was to assess information systems' maturity level of independent hotels and small hotel chains, mapping the level to the hotel's characteristics. We surveyed 86 companies, representing a total of 195 hotels.\r\n\r\nWe designed the survey to evaluate the adoption of information systems and the perception decision-makers had of those systems' importance accordingly to the Network Exploitation Capability (NEC) model (Piccoli et al., 2011), with results of 2.7 on a scale of 1 to 5, differing by hotel characteristics. Generally, hoteliers consider that their companies take more advantage of technology and information systems than they do. They were involved in the youth sports club of the Kherson Regional Aikido Federation. All tests that were used in the study were divided into two groups. Tests to determine overall physical fitness were aimed at the demonstration of speed-strength abilities, agility, strength and flexibility by young athletes. Tests to determine the special physical fitness of young aikidists were aimed at the manifestation of special coordination readiness, speed and strength of the upper shoulder girdle, special endurance and strength of the lower extremities \u003cem\u003eResults\u003c/em\u003e: the training method consisted of various complexes of integral exercises, which were used both in the preparatory part of the training, and in the main and final ones. Absolutely for all tests that determine general physical fitness, the level of increase in average results ranges from 5% to 35%. Moreover, the greatest changes were recorded in the indices of the test: bending forward from a sitting position: 35.1%, and the smallest for a long jump from the spot: 4.8%. \u003cem\u003eConclusions\u003c/em\u003e: the correct and rational use of various means and methods for the development of physical qualities allows you to effectively influence the level of physical fitness of young aykidists and makes it possible for them to achieve the highest possible level of skill. O objetivo desta pesquisa é avaliar a imagem do destino turístico Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, a partir das publicações de uma rede social de fotografia, o Instagram. O presente trabalho analisou 400 imagens marcadas no Instagram com a hashtag #salvador, sendo que para a categorização das imagens coletadas foram utilizadas as dimensões da imagem cognitiva e motivacionais de Baloglu e Mccleary (1999). A pesquisa é exploratória, com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa. A coleta de dados foi realizada, de forma aleatória, na rede social Instagram, por meio do software Seekr Monitor, uma ferramenta para monitoramento e gestão das mídias sociais. Por meio de análise de regressão linear múltipla, identificou-se a existência de relações causais positivas e negativas entre as dimensões da imagem e motivacionais do destino turístico e o número de curtidas por seguidor no Instagram. Os resultados indicam que as Destination Management Organization (DMOs) de Salvador (BA) devem direcionar seus esforços promocionais nas redes sociais virtuais, envolvendo a formação da imagem de valor ao ambiente, em vez de comercializar o destino por meio dos apelos motivacionais do prestígio.","source":"DOAJ","year":2018,"language":"","subjects":["Geography. Unfortunately, in the recent decades, the economy, population, and even the well-known natural landscape of a traditional settlement have undergone significant changes, affecting by a negative manner its identity and prosperity. The objective of this research is to analyze the attitudes of different population members (both young and seniors) towards the tangible heritage of an unique region of Romania, the northern area of Dobrudja, from the perspective of the late changes. Disparities in specific bias, the willingness to be involved in the local activities and the approach regarding the sustainable conservation and economic progress of cultural built heritage assets were discovered to correlate with age and inclusion to a specific group. In particular, an effective pricing policy has become\r\ncrucial for airlines to remain profitable. Correspondingly, the different\r\ntypes of airline in the market have also established very distinct pricing\r\npolicies. The present study is based on a literature review and presents\r\nthe state of the art of pricing policy in air transportation. The aim is to\r\ncompare and discuss the pricing strategies of network carriers and lowcost airlines. Special attention is paid to Revenue Management, which\r\nis a very important management tool used by airlines to take advantage\r\nof the differences in willingness to pay of passengers. The pricing policy,\r\nhowever, depends on the overall business strategy of the airline.\r\nResults show many differences, resulting from the fact that these two\r\ntypes of airline are characterized by very different fundamental\r\nbusiness models and, correspondingly, also target groups. To carry out a comparative analysis of aging rates among representatives of both groups. Material and methods: the sample consisted of 58 male students: athletes (n = 28) aged 18-20 years \u003c/span\u003e\u003cspan lang=\"UK\"\u003eand non-sports students (n = 30) aged 18-20 years. The group of athletes was represented by students of football, who were members of the team of the university for football and foot of the hall. All athletes had a sports qualification from the first adult class to the CM. The comparison was conducted with a group of non-sports students, except for physical education. The biological age was determined by the method of VP Voytenka (1991). Results: It was determined that the biological age of the examined sportsmen is 23.44 years (δ = 3.77), while the non-sports students are 38.82 (δ = 4.65). In absolute terms, the difference is 4.54 years for athletes and 20.32 for non-sports students. According to the relative indicator, the biological age of young footballers is 12, 4% higher than the passport. Conclusions: the pace of age-related changes in athletes is slowed down, and students not engaged in sports are accelerated. This is due to more harmful habits, low levels of motor activity. The study was guided by the\r\nfive time dimensions proposed by Bluedorn and Jaussi (2007):\r\npolychronicity, speed, punctuality, temporal depth and entrainment.\r\nThe field work consisted of a descriptive case study, paired with a\r\nquantitative analysis of data collected with a structured, closed and\r\nself-administered questionnaire based on Paiva, Dutra, Santos and\r\nBarros’s (2013) Time Perception Scale. The data were analysed using\r\nunivariate and bivariate statistics. Monochronic, slow and punctual\r\nbehaviours, with past temporal depth, predominate among young\r\nworkers. The results also show that respondents are highly temporally\r\nentrained from various perspectives, particularly entrainment through\r\nsynchrony, followed by entrainment through leadership and\r\nconduction. Huml"},{"name":"Michael Chung"}],"abstract":"In-depth interviews were conducted with the life skills coordinators of 9 of 21 institutions identified as being “dedicated” to service (Andrassy \u0026 Bruening, 2011). As a result of service being one portion of CHAMPS/Life Skills programming, we expanded our investigation to include all aspects of this student development program. In particular, we focused our inquiry on organizational capacity and its role in student involvement. Findings indicate these ‘dedicated’ athletic departments were characterized by strong organizational capacity for engaging student-athletes in meaningful service efforts. The critical role of coaches and mutual values among internal stakeholders emerged as the primary strengths of department’s human resources capacity. Despite the limited financial capacity, departments were able to creatively secure some funding for development programs. The ability to leverage external relationships, an organizational culture promoting participative decision-making and student-athlete development, and on-going efforts to improve service and life skills opportunities for student-athletes indicated strong structural capacity.","source":"DOAJ","year":2014,"language":"","subjects":["Recreation leadership. The participants (N = 1275) for this study were women (n = 497) and men (n = 778) working in intercollegiate athletic administration at NCAA Divisions I, II, II, as well as at NAIA schools and junior colleges. The participants completed the Female Sport Manager Career Survey and provided demographic and qualitative data. The primary impacts on careers described by the women in the study were (a) increased job opportunities for women, (b) no impact, and (c) increased opportunities for participation. The men, on the other hand, indicated the greatest impacts on careers as (a) no impact, (b) discrimination against qualified men, and (c) increased job opportunities for women. As políticas públicas de turismo implantadas nos últimos anos contribuíram para o melhor aparelhamento do território, no que se refere a sua logística, verificando-se, em decorrência, a atração não apenas de investimentos turísticos tradicionais, mas também de novas tipologias que associam empreendimentos turísticos ao setor imobiliário. A presente pesquisa teve como principal objetivo identificar o perfil da demanda estrangeira de segunda residência na Região Metropolitana de Natal. Nos procedimentos metodológicos foram feito o levantamento de dados secundários em diversos órgãos públicos (IBGE, MITUR, SETUR/RN) sobre a expansão das segundas residências e a realização de entrevistas nas imobiliárias que negociam este tipo de imóvel, cadastradas no Sindicato do Setor Imobiliário do RN (SECOVI/RN). Os resultados do estudo permitiram chegar a uma série de conclusões. Verificou-se que o consumidor estrangeiro de segunda residência possui faixa etária entre 30 e 50 anos e se constitui, em sua maioria, de profissionais liberais. As nacionalidades que mais procuram a localidade para a aquisição deste tipo de imóvel são: espanhóis, noruegueses, portugueses, ingleses e italianos. Identificou-se que há uma predominância do sexo masculino na demanda e que a maioria possui curso superior completo. Verificou-se também que os proprietários de residência secundária possuem alto poder aquisitivo; o investimento é a motivação principal para a aquisição deste tipo de imóvel e o preço praticado no mercado imobiliário na RMN é fator relevante para a aquisição de segunda residência na localidade.","source":"DOAJ","year":2012,"language":"","subjects":["Geography. Entre os vários tipos de turismo, há um que vem chamando a atenção pela grande procura: o religioso, caracterizado por ser motivado pela fé ou pelo interesse em alguma cultura religiosa, compreendendo visitas a templos e santuários ou demais práticas religiosas. O presente artigo, por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfico-qualitativa, pretende fazer uma reflexão a respeito do usufruto dos espaços sagrados pelo turismo religioso e se esse tipo de turismo pode de alguma forma, facilitar um diálogo inter-religioso que favoreça a paz entre as nações. Os principais autores que serviram de referencial teórico para a pesquisa foram Ansarah, Barretto, Dias, Dumazedier, Geertz, Krippendorf, Swarbrooke, Teixeira, Vasconcelos, Velho e Warnier. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam que a prática do turismo religioso pode contribuir para o crescimento pessoal, estabelecer espaços de comunhão e solidariedade, fomentar a economia dos locais e também auxiliar no processo de consolidar a cooperação entre as nações, as culturas e as religiões em um diálogo inter-religioso voltado para a paz entre os povos.","source":"DOAJ","year":2012,"language":"","subjects":["Geography.
