The methodology is based on descriptive and relational bibliometric indicators, \r\nincluding the analysis of scientific production, sources, authors’ impact, co-authorship networks, and keyword co\r\noccurrence, complemented by thematic maps and temporal analyses of emerging themes, conducted using the \r\nBibliometrix package within the R environment. The results highlight an accelerated growth of academic interest after \r\n2016, with a concentration of publications in economics and finance journals such as Energy Economics, Finance \r\nResearch Letters, and International Review of Financial Analysis, as well as a polycentric structure of international \r\ncollaborations dominated by East Asia and Europe. The conceptual analysis reveals three major thematic clusters: the \r\nperformance and impact of green investments, energy transition and sustainable economic growth, and systemic risks \r\nand financial stability. The emergence of themes such as financial digitalisation, fintech, and artificial intelligence \r\nindicates recent directions of research diversification. The article contributes by providing a systematic mapping of a \r\nrapidly maturing field and by identifying epistemic gaps, highlighting the need to expand comparative studies, \r\ninterdisciplinary approaches, and analyses of green finance in emerging and transition economies.","source":"DOAJ","year":2026,"language":"","subjects":["Commercial geography. The primary objective of this study is to explore the transmission of producer-to-consumer prices in the Spanish fresh tomato industry. Employing the Threshold Vector Autoregressive model, and subsequently utilizing the Generalized Impulse Response Function, we investigated the nonlinear price adjustments that occur in response to positive and negative shocks affecting both tomato prices of consumers and producers. The findings show a clear pattern of distinct reactions between segments in response to shocks. Specifically, the speed and intensity of consumer price responses to producer price shocks appear to surpass those observed when producer prices respond to consumer price shocks. Furthermore, it is evident from the current research that the behavior of producers has evolved from earlier studies that utilized outdated information, suggesting a more competitive approach. The research identifies a new trend in producer behavior within the supply chain. By analyzing tomato price fluctuations, it advances current knowledge and provides essential market insights to support informed decision-making.","source":"DOAJ","year":2026,"language":"","subjects":["Agriculture (General)","Environmental sciences","Commercial geography. Towards that end, a quantitative approach using statistical techniques of t test, ANOVA, Kruskal–Wallis test, and Pairwise comparisons supported by explanatory and qualitative discussions were utilized. The main findings show that the applicability of entrepreneurship at PPU was relatively fair for the aspects of the compatibility of curricula with the labor market needs, community relations and partnerships, academic exchange, entrepreneurship culture, entrepreneurial education, and university internationalization. Entrepreneurship as a policy objective was moderately acceptable for university policies and regulations, scientific research and innovation, and university leadership, but the university environment was less than moderate. The findings also show that the university leadership acknowledges the importance of achieving entrepreneurship, while they pay insufficient attention to the academic exchange. Offering other supportive funding resources can accelerate entrepreneurship. Given that, this study is likely to provide a proposed model to transform PPU into an entrepreneurial university and effectively achieve the university’s pioneering vision that contributes to the university’s development and presents this model to the decision makers.","source":"DOAJ","year":2023,"language":"","subjects":["Business","Commercial geography. Through this paper, I explore London-based associations’ use of cross-subsidy from commercial sale and rental operations to ameliorate the push towards higher rents for social housing. I characterize the spatially variegated response to the Affordable Homes Programme as ‘asymmetric marketization’. The case illustrates the value of bridging between economic geography literatures that acknowledge spatial variation in state–market constellations but offers less developed insights on modes of marketization, and political science literature on the regulatory state that offers a useful framework for disaggregating between modes of marketization but which has overlooked the issue of spatial variation. The significance of this asymmetric marketization is heightened by ongoing concerns over the sustainability of London-based housing associations’ commercial activities, and by the possible extension of commercial-to-social cross-subsidization across other national housing systems.","source":"Semantic Scholar","year":2019,"language":"en","subjects":["Economics"],"doi":"10.1177/0308518X19857723","url":"https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/77cc5b7d8f7c8b61b6c666f249d2ee7a23eaeb31","pdf_url":"https://eprints.whiterose.ac.uk/146594/1/Econ_geography_and_the_reg_state.docx","is_open_access":true,"citations":7,"published_at":"","score":63.21},{"id":"doaj_SOURCES+OF+FINANCING+OF+THE+OPERATING+CYCLE","title":"SOURCES OF FINANCING OF THE OPERATING CYCLE","authors":[{"name":"CĂRUNTU GENU ALEXANDRU"}],"abstract":"The choice of how to finance the operating activity is determined by its cost, by the financial structure of the\r\nown resources available, as well as under conditions of risk reduction, because a possible insufficiency of the financial\r\nresources influences the solvency, liquidity and profitability of the activity carried out by the company, the results of\r\nthe activity and implicitly the returns expected by investors depending on the financing policy.\r\n Not always an optimal financial structure must have a minimum cost of capital, but rather a reduction of the\r\nweighted average cost of capital so as to lead to an increase in the firm's value, an increase in the security of the\r\nassets. Healthy environments for the development of innovative, nascent digital enterprises require a well-balanced variety of agents and supporting processes, which we collectively call a software startup ecosystem. These ecosystems are fundamental for the insertion of countries in the digital economy of the twenty-first century. However, having all the elements that compose such environments in the most advanced and prolific state is difficult and relatively rare. In this paper, we show that startup ecosystems can evolve over time passing through a sequence of maturity level stages. For that, we introduce a maturity model for software startup ecosystems based on systematic qualitative research around a multiple case study we conducted across three ecosystems. The study was carried out over 4 years and included an extensive array of data collection mechanisms such as literature reviews, expert interviews, and observations in three relevant ecosystems (Tel-Aviv, São Paulo, and New York); all collected data were analyzed with techniques based on Grounded Theory, resulting in a conceptual framework of software startup ecosystems. Finally, we developed a maturity model for startup ecosystems, which helps us understand their evolution and dynamics. Moreover, it can serve as a basis for stakeholders in less mature ecosystems to analyze their environment, identify weak spots, and propose policies and practical actions for improving their ecosystems over time.","source":"DOAJ","year":2018,"language":"","subjects":["Business","Commercial geography.
