Documenting performance: the contexts & processes of digital curation and archiving
Joseph Dunne-Howrie
Abstrak
This edited volume of essays challenges the performing arts bias for post-structuralist critiques of the archive as a centre of logocentric authority. It will appeal to theatre and performance scholars with research specialisms in performance documentation and digital culture. Case studies that discuss how documents can preserve the dynamism and animacy of live performance will be of interest to archivists and curators who work with performing arts collections. The book in general will make a valuable addition to reading lists on library and information science (LIS) and performing arts courses that address the intersection between live art works and the galleries, libraries, archives and museums (GLAM) sector.
