Scientific and Publishing Activities of M. Rylskyi Institute of Art Studies, Folkloristics and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the Field of Research of the Russian Military Aggression in Ukraine (2014–2025)
Abstrak
The publication activities of M. Rylskyi Institute of Art Studies, Folkloristics and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter – IASFE) in the field of research of the Russian-Ukrainian war in general and the peculiarities of adaptation of internally displaced persons (hereinafter – IDPs) in particular during the eleven years of Russian armed aggression in Ukraine are analyzed and summarized in the article. The historiographical basis for writing the submitted study is formed by the editions, those are freely available in electronic version on the IASFE website (https://www.etnolog.org.ua/) in the sections “Monographies”, “Collected Scientific Works”, “Ethnographical and Artistic Heritage”, “Periodic Editions” (“Folk Art and Ethnology” journal, annuals “Materials to Ukrainian Ethnology”, “Slavic World”) according to the year of publication. At the current stage of development of Ukrainian ethnological science, there has appeared a need for a historiographic generalization of the development of Ukrainian Ethnology in the direction of research of individual vulnerable categories of the population, problems of linguistic, cultural, social and everyday life adaptation, transformation of identification practices. Taking into account the multifaceted nature of these processes, the analysis of the read materials has been conducted according to the thematic-chronological principle, which, in our opinion, allows for a comprehensive assessment of the level of study of the stated problem. A historiographical review of the publication activities of the IASFE in the specified period is a rethinking of the scientific contribution of Ukrainian and foreign scholars to the study of the military anthropology and preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukrainians, the organization of everyday life in wartime, commemorative practices and a number of the other relevant issues of the contemporaneity. It is noted in the conclusions that the works concerning the peculiarities of IDPs adaptation, the problems of their employment and livelihoods, are mainly of a local and regional nature (Vinnytsia and Ciscarpathia Regions) and initiate similar ethnological studies at the All-Ukrainian level.
