Bild des Arztes in der deutschen Sprache (am lexikographischen Material)
Abstrak
The concept of the linguistic picture of the world has a relatively long tradition in linguistics. Within the framework of this theory, language is perceived both as a means of knowledge and as a means of communication. In this sense, the opinion is held that language becomes an instrument of world interpretation and reflects views, stereotypes, etc. In this article, the linguistic picture of a doctor in the German language is presented. The basis for the analysis are lexicographic sources. The etymology, semantics, paradigmatic and syntagmatic relationships of the lexeme Arzt and Doktor as well as phraseological units in which they are included are examined. The investigation clarifies which characteristics make up the term doctor in the German language and how the term is linguistically evaluated.
