Metafory w terminologii winiarskiej
Abstrak
Although wine culture is still a new phenomenon in Poland, a specific wine-related language is rapidly emerging. The aim of the article is to study the various types of wine metaphors in Polish, examining both lexicalized terminology with metaphorical or metonymical origins and more complex, elaborated metaphors that require a deeper analysis. The paper explores the role of metaphor in the creation of terminology related to winemaking and examines preferences in the selection of perceptual and non-perceptual source frames. Furthermore, I provide a detailed analysis of creative metaphors (layered metaphors, mixed metaphors, and narrative metaphors) originated form the lexicalized terms.
