ON SOME WORDS IN THE EDITION OF QUTADΓU BILIG (Ayıŋla- and Tak)
Abstrak
It has been over 70 years since Qutadγu Bilig was edited. During this time, many new readings and explanations have been presented about this edition and edition’s index. The scholarly edition of Qutadgu Bilig was edited by Reşit Rahmeti Arat. This edition is based on three manuscripts of this work. Arat successfully prepared this edition after a long endeavour. It has been a great misfortune for us that Arat’s notes about this edition cannot reach to us. It should be appreciated that each problematic reading is explained in this edition. A lot of research has been done and monographies have been written regarding Qutadγu Bilig, however, only few of these were about its original text and manuscripts. It will focus on ayıŋla- and taq in this article.
