The President Practices Forestry
Nelson C. Brown
Abstrak
Abstract For 300 years the Roosevelt family and its predecessors have practiced a simple form of forestry on lands which now compose the Hyde Park Estate. The President has underscored his interest in forestry as a national undertaking by setting an example in the management of his family forests--800 acres of natural growth and 250 acres of plantations. The latest cutting contributed much-needed oak and shipbuilding timbers to the war program.
